I'd like to be! Media has not been invited to any GTWS events so far this year, but hopefully that will change for the World Finals.
If so let's reassemble the avengers again!
@PASM @Tidgney

p.s.

On a side note, GTPlanet is turning more into a tripadvisor lately first with the Louwman tip and now this :D:D:D me likey.

that is true but most of them would be too narrow which wouldnt help
I mean, this idea brings me back to Project Gotham Racing. That was the major selling point of that series, city street tracks, even if it meant that it would be bad for clean racing, overtaking, or both.

Eiger sure did seem like it was too narrow and with small margin for error.

I say throw the participants in kei cars at Route X!

I'll definitely attend. Last time was good fun and some exciting racing was on display. Must admit that I haven't seen the Gran Turismo movie yet (that premiered at Amsterdam), though judging from others who have, that's not a bad thing :D

Has anyone noticed that this has been changed from a 3 day event, and is now condensed into 2 days?
Yeah, it's... a bit weird. Not sure what the rationale is, whether it's voluntary or forced, or anything really...

I got a mail with that message aswell, but it was really odd at first i though it was a phishing mail. since ivé got a saturday ticket it's more value since we're getting more racing.

I recon they did it to reduce venue cost perhaps but thats just pure speculation.

... that has worked out very nicely for you, you should have an action packed day!

I booked my flight before the schedual change so I will be there Thursday evening with no event to attend on the Friday!

yeah thats sour, amsterdam is a fun city though. maybe you could have a look if theres something going on at zandvoort which is very close. other wise if you're willing to travel a bit further i can recommend the louwman car museum in the hague. just two options that came to mind

My Son & I will be attending for Sat & Sun, but are flying over on friday early, so hoping to pop to Zandvoort on the friday. So who is going? can we do a list on here?

What's everyone's predictions then? I can't decide whether to go for Gallo or Miyazono.

Edit: it's also worth noting I don't have a clue.

Well…the champion teams car seems like BMW M4 GT3…Of course, I hope so
The champion team's car will be the car used by the champion team of the Manufacturers Cup.

That won't be the M4 GT3, because it's not in the game, and we won't know which brand it's from until the race actually happens.

I can understand why he got confused, the car covered by the black cover it can mislead to the lines of the M4 GT3, unless it is one of those odd ways from PD to tease future content lol

Yeah sure, this black cover like silhouette is very tempting.LOL

I’ve gone for Subaru for the manufacturers cup as the driver lineup looks really strong. However, i’ve got every single prediction wrong so far

If I may make a more specific guess, I don't think the "2024 Champion Team Car" will merely be the same model in its default livery, but rather, it'll be in the particular livery used for the event. In which case, I just might have to tune in!

If the last prize is a new VGT, (and judging by the last two years, I have little reason to doubt myself) I hope it's the Ford this time.

Honestly, same here, even if it's been leaked that it's the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. But a Ford VGT would be even better if it ended up being eligible for Gr.1, almost like how the the original GT40 was a prototype racer. In fact, I think GM is likely due for one, too, even if we did technically have one via the Chaparral 2X. (Though personally, I'd be down getting the Corvette C8 GT3.R and the Cadillac V-Series.R as far as GM racers are concerned, or at least something very similar to the former if Pratt & Miller are still too hard to work with.)

Otherwise, when it comes to VGTs, I'm open to almost anything - especially certain automakers that already have an entry taking another swing, especially Subaru, Lexus, BMW, Mitsubishi, and Toyota. I'd also be very happy if Jaguar came out with a hybrid version of the VGT SV, if only so it could actually get into Gr.1. Then there's the wild-card of another brand that isn't even in the game yet - one that may not even make cars - introducing a VGT, like we've seen with Skoda and Bulgari. (Here's hoping for VGTs from Pininfarina and Bertone!)

This is true - but I'd still love to see it, especially now that BMW has introduced the M4 GT3 Evo.

EDIT: Also to note is that all three daily races for next week seem to be taking place at courses that are featued in some form during the World Finals, whether in qualifying or the actual race, so I'm imagine there to be credit bonuses at least for Race A, which seems to be modeled on Race 1 of the Nations Cup. (Speaking of which, Race 2 seems to be TBA! Maybe it'll use the Ioniq 5 N?)

Meanwhile, Semi-final Group B of the TGR Cup is at Red Bull Ring featuring the SF23/Toyota, and I imagine that next week's Race B will be similar.

Finally, Race C next week is set at Spa-Francorchamps, so I'd bet that'll be a race mimicking the Grand Final of the Manufacturers Cup, which of course features Gr.3 racers.

Knowing PD, its likely a car already in the game just with a tarp over it. No mystery really.
