This doesn't actually say much.

My schedule conflicts, I won't make it.

I am sorry to announce that I couldn't make my own series. I got stuck at work. We will have a lobby open on Monday.

@Mel, I am sorry that you can't control the 458. It takes lots of practice to be able to control the car on those tires. I might make the F430 on SM tires to try and promote the class.

I can control it; I just don't like it. Trying to race, competitively, against other people in that car will lead to problems. There's no way to hold a line.

You can hold the line in any car on any tire, so long as you drive it within it's limits. On GT5 it's a crapshoot if you can find enough people to control any car or group of cars within it's limits, even on RS tires. Harder tires just make the pool of racers smaller but it's not impossible to drive and control either Ferrari so long as you drive with respect to other drivers, again, within the limits of the car.

I drive hundreds of cars on worse tires. Problem is, I have an ever-tightening schedule AND get little pleasure from Italian cars. I'm a fan of Japanese/Korean cars.

Fun racing today. I appreciate Litchi and Mich stopping by. The prancing horses were a tough beast to tame in the hills of Monterrey California. Great job to Ant for winning. 👍 We will have another friendly test race on Thursday. I hope to have a good turnout.

Cnd if I can get my cars ready for there series in time, ill sign up for this round and help support this race!

Yo cnd, I'm going to do an arrive & drive Saturday, and use that as my practice session for the Monday event. I'm not sure which ferrari yet tho?

Can we have a time for Thursday? Which car or both? Track (s)? Where is it going to be held?

For right now, it will tentatively be at 16:30 GMT-6 or 4:30 p.m. Central time U.S.

Either car is optional. Everyone has run the 458 so far. I might just make it the 458 Challenge or something.

I would like to run Spa on Thursday if everyone has the DLC.

If that's the case than put me down for the 458 chassis then, I'll see you guys there 4 sure! Cnd what track are you running for Saturdays race?

I am not sure about Saturday. I will put you down for sure 👍 Thanks for joining. I was probably going to go to Trial Mountain, but that is subject to change.

Pretty sure that time won't work for me but if I'm around I'll drop by. I'm usually tied up until at least 7 on Thursdays EDT (GMT-5?)

I will probably still have a room up. I have a fantasy football draft tomorrow at 6:30 though. I will be offline for that.

Just got in...hope it went well.

I had fun. Too bad no one else showed up  :(. No big deal. Early Thursday afternoon isn't the best time anyway. WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER FUN RACE THIS SATURDAY AT 14:00 GMT-6. THAT WILL BE THE START OF THE PRESEASON. I hope to see you guys there.

I would be interested in joining this series. I have read the entire thread and am more confused now as a result however.

Is the Monday night 8:30pm start Alabama time or Georgia time ? I would definitely be in for that event. The Saturday event clashes with the Fiat Trophy I believe although it's support is somewhat in question after yesterday's turnout.

Are you still running both cars or have you settled on the 458 exclusively ?

As for tracks .... I love real world tracks .... any of them except for Monaco. I love Monza, Spa, Nurburgring (F1), Indy Road Course, Daytona Road Course etc. I would not show up for Trial Mountain, sorry.

I agree philosophically with you on the SH tire choice but I also think that if these cars, taken stock to a race track to actually race, that they would be outfitted with at least SM tires (or even SS possibly). I saw the Ferrari Challenge cars run at Indy in support of the F1 race and they didn't look like they were on SH type tires. SM tires may just attract a few additional people even if it means compromising your perspective. My personal point of view is that I'd rather sacrifice a bit of realism for a better race experience (given that it might be hard to attract nothing but highly skilled, hard tire guys exclusively)

I'm in either way.

Thanks man. Both cars are being used. I like the SH option because it takes the car directly from the dealership to the track. Monday's start time is 8:30 Alabama time.

CND could you tell me what time race today, with est time, what time would be...?

Sorry Ant :( We are not running today. We will be running tomorrow though. We will be at Le Mans.
