A bit late this time, I sort of forgot it was a GP weekend :dunce:

Well after the Indy controversy we certainly have a huge change in the various championships, Ferrari and Michael are now both serious contenders for the Constructors and Drivers championships.

Alonso - 59
Raikkonen - 37
Schumacher - 34

Renault - 76
McLaren - 63
Ferrari - 63

As long as Ferrari have some good qualifying pace and reliability they have a serious chance, which had I said that before Indy it would have seemed almost laughable.

It looks like it may rain today and tomorrow but as far as I've read Sunday will be hot and sunny.

The Michelin drivers will be disadvantaged for qualifying, giving Ferrari a little bit of a head start, but it shouldn't be too bad for Kimi and Trulli.

Practice 1 starts in about 20 minutes, after that we'll see if anyone has found some pace over the past week of testing.

too bad there's no live practice. At least not to my knowledge.

I'm really looking foward to this GP though. Let's see if Michelin can save face in their own country.

Edit: bonehead mistake! :dunce:

I don't know if I want Montoya to podium on this one. What will happen if he gets sprayed in the face with champagne?

"YOU DROWNED MY ****ING HEAD! YOU IDIOT!"

Hope Ferrari pull a good victory.
Where's Kimi? What happened to him that he didn't practice

IA

i think its a repeat of indy, run montoya hard during the practices then use that data for kimi while saving his car.

i think this is buttons weekend, he did reasonably well in practice 1, he just need to get his head down and go for it, otherwise i think alonso will take it, what i do know is no bridgestone will win :P

Things look good for Renault. The last two GPs were so horrible, this one has got to be better.

Kimi blew out the right bank of his engine. He should have known, when in France, it's the Left Bank that's supposed to blow first. Bad luck for him, good luck for Alonso and Fisi. They could use some right about now.

The Ferraris look damn fast. They both blew it big time in the last sector. Even though they didn't place in 1,2 or 3, I still think they've got a good chance at doing well. I can't say enough how happy I am seeing Alonso take pole. Fisi did well also. And Trulli in second means Toyota are looking to do well too. That should take a lot of much needed points away from Kimi and McLaren.

Well, I hope this race is a happy, problem-free race with a lot of good action. God knows we could all use it right about now.

I missed qualifing again!!!

I set a reminder but my little cousin was watching TV and i think deliberately pressed 'back up' just so he could carry on watching Power Rangers. :grumpy:

Oh no! Not Power Rangers!

I had to watch and record that crap for my oldest son. He loved that show. I always wanted to know; why did the Pink Ranger, a chic, always had a big bulge in her pants during the fight scenes?

I loved the power rangers :dopey:, 8 yrs ago.

Watched the qualifying, anyone think there'll be a brief discussion on Raikonnens curb cutting?
