In exactly the same way the Atlantic Ocean is full of bees.

You just know that the people whining about PD making everyone buy GT5P then giving them nothing (besides an extra track and 30 more cars) and not releasing any information are the same people who would whine when PD release another teaser trailer because they should be concentrating on making the game instead of making stupid videos.

And the same people who whine about how long it's taking would be the same ones who'll whine at the tiniest, tiniest factual inaccuracy in the game, saying PD should have taken longer to QA test it.

It'll be here when it gets here, folks. Nothing any of us can say will change that.

People are frustrated and it´s everybodys right to complain and this forum is a very good place to do so. If you are tired of reading more about these complaints, simply..... stop reading the posts... thats your given right!

It's Polyphony Digital's right to say sweet f.a. until the game hits the shelves.

Unfortunately for Famine and the Super Mod crew, it's their job to read all the complaining posts.

He has to read those posts as he's a moderator.

People just seem to complain too much, as if PD owe us something. We are a small minority of people who will buy GT5. The GT series has made 50 million sales. There are only 120,000 of us (and a few of them will be duplicate members) The stark reality is that they don't owe us anything, and the game will be out when it's ready.

Well, maybe somebody else should moderat this forum:sly:

What worries me about the lack of news is that in the end we always end up the same game.
let us be honest the game except the graphics is always the same, the gt mode is equal to the first gt because they don't listen the fans requests.
what's the utility tu put in the game hundreds of small cars but only one race dedicated to this category.
I would like to see engine type limitations (es V8, V10 engines) or 1600cc turbo or aspirated, return of HP limitations.

GT MODE NEEDS A BEAUTIFUL COOLED

I think PD is fully aware that their fan-base is growing more and more impatient. It's their loss (more than anyone else's) if they can't release the game now, so I suggest you guys just keep your head cool. As daan said, PD don't owe us anything, they make a product, we buy it if we want to.

So, why should you guys be "angry" at PD? The most you can reasonably be is "frustrated" because you own a PS3 and you want a new GT game to play with it. But that's life, sometimes we get what we want, sometimes we just don't.

So, if you're tired of playing GT5P ... play something else. If you don't like any of the current available PS3 games ... stop using your PS3 and play PC or Xbox games. Your call. But don't get angry at the world because the world (or just PD) doesn't have available for you what you would like to buy/own/use.

Somebody else does - there are many of us. And we all have to read all the posts...

If it is everyone's right to complain, then why are you so quick to deny my right to complain about those who complain?

What's that you say? At the old abandoned mine?

Well I´m not!! Just saying you have the possiblity both to close your eyes and ears if you are tired of other people complaning about PD. Don´t take it personal..

It's a real pitty PD have lost touch with their core fanbase, luckily for driving fans there are plenty of titles to replace Gran Turismo.

Thanks PD for GT1 to GT5P, now it's time to move on.

Where did I say I was tired of it? You appear to have made that part up. They give me a laugh - because they're always complaining. If I was PD, I wouldn't be stretching myself to satisfy someone who is never satisfied...

Don´t take it personal..

You addressed your comments directly to me... I'm not entirely sure how you get more personal...

The speech is not if the people are frustated or not, Polyphony has lied to the customer saying that there would be damage, new cars, new tracks for sell more copies of the game and now that the money is in cash they are disappeared.

Not a good policy for a serious company.

Where did they promise these things? How have they failed to deliver?

PD didn't lie.

GT5 hasn't been released yet.

It will have damage, but even that isn't a promise, they always said they were working on it, but in the end licensing issues from all the many brands portrayed can effectively prevent them from having such feature in the game.

It will have more cars than GT5P

It will have more tracks than GT5P

They didn't cash any money from GT5 yet.

They didn't dissapear.

I was talking about GT5 prologue

Actually - no it isn't... But you go right ahead then, I'm sure you'll be back once GT5 is released.. :dunce:

I know you were. So... answer the question please:

I've checked the box for my two copies and I can't see any mention of damage, new cars or new tracks. Though they did deliver an entire new track and about 30 new cars, which they didn't promise at any point...

I know, we are in gt5 section, i'm going a little bit off topic, but can you tell me why you defend polyphony in any way? for you is correct this policy? Where is the big fail update? three cars, all here?

Excuse the off topic

Please do me the service of answering my question before you pose questions to me.

They promise this things in the interviews that you can read on ign when they sayd that were concentrated in the updates for gt5 prologue. We are in february and there is still nothing

take it easy everyone, i'm sure PD aren't dead. if the game was concelled or something we would have heard something from sony by now, we haven't so its just continuing its development proces.

PD have spent so much money on its GT franchise, they aren't going to abandon it like this. don't worry GT5 will appear!

Well, the evidence is overwhelming  Sergeant, take PD away and shoot them.

Seriously, I've never read anything like what you're talking about. I do know that the game on my PS3 has more content than it says on the box - which, considering that the extra content cost me sod all, I wouldn't call a broken promise.

You mean this one?

http://www.granturismo5.us/ign-interview-kazunori-yamauchi.htm
IGN: Earlier this year, you mentioned that Polyphony was working on a patch for GT5 Prologue that would add damage modeling to the game later this year. Is that still happening?

Kazunori Yamauchi: Our plans haven’t changed, and we’re working on it. But this is Gran Turismo, so it might be a little bit late. [laughs all around]

IGN: Lastly, what’s the status on the full Gran Turismo 5? Where are you at in production?

Kazunori Yamauchi: Of course after this next update, we’re going to have another update later on in the year. There’s no plans in the works for GT5 yet - that might be 2009, or it might be 2010… But we’re totally focused on getting the updates through for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and that’s all we’re focused on.

Where does he promise anything other than they are working on it and don't know when it will happen?

guys, if you are happy to pay a demo as a whole game and after a year don't have any additional content apart the poor three cars, i'm glad for you but for me it is not enough.

I don't know what you expected from Prologue. It's little more than a demo for GT5 (the clue is in it's title). Be glad that PD even bothered to bring you a little slice of what they have install for the full game, they were under no obligation to do even that. They've promised nothing yet delivered a great deal - yet this isn't enough for some folk.

If you buy a game based on what you want them to add then that is your own mistake. Remember last gen when you bought a game and what you got on the disc was it? You must have been very unhappy.

That said: Am I unhappy that I haven't heard any news in a while? Yes. Does that mean I think that Polyphony Digital is breaking promises and violating my trust as a consumer? No. Why? Because what they told me was on my disc when I bought the game is what I found on the disc when I put it in my PS3. I got precisely what I knew I was paying for.

If they had told me something completely different and I got the game home and found out it only had half of what they said it would and that they won't give me the rest then I would be upset. At that point I would do what any good consumer has the power to do: Not buy the next game.

guys, if you are happy to pay a demo as a whole game

GT4 RRP: £39.99; GT5P RRP: £24.99

and after a year don't have any additional content apart the poor three cars

GT5P Spec I, December 2007: 37 cars, 10 tracks
GT5P Spec III, December 2008: 71 cars, 12 tracks

i'm glad for you but for me it is not enough.

No-one has any objections to your opinion. But making up facts (like PD's alleged promises and the two above, which have all been disproven) to support it is both unnecessary and does little for your credibility.
