EA is interested in doing it, in fact I saw the draft article today ;)

We can’t simply blog out whatever we like whenever, gotta make sure everything is 100% confirmed etc. before putting it live :)

tldr: Confirmed launch list is coming, sit tight.
Does this mean licensing negotiation has been going on until now? Damn I hope you guys make me a happy chap.......points at avatar to the left......;)

There's a lot of approvals and other licensing nonsense in these things that most people won't even realize or think about. Things get revealed when they do for a reason.

On top of that brand websites are more complex and collaborative than you think 🙂

It's not like one of us simply logs into Wordpress, types some stuff and hits publish (well, it can be sometimes). That's too much power for me to wield sometimes 😂

The list is on its way, keep an eye on this page (and Twitter) for the update: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/grid/grid-legends/news/car-list

On our road to GRID Legends’ launch on February 25, keep an eye on this page as we add more cars to this line-up, with our largest ever selection of hand-picked vehicles coming on launch day...

I was tempted by the PC EA Play version and may play the trial on PC game pass but in the end I Pre-ordered the PS5 Disc version for this game.
The reason being is I am really impressed and enjoying all the new Dual Sense features and haptic feedback on the PS5 and read this will have this. I think it is a game changer after playing Astro, Ratchet&Clank and Cyberpunk with it. As I get older it so nice just to relax on a controller rather than get the whole wheel set up out or PC all linked up. The PS5 plug and play is perfect for this on my 4K tv and seem to be going to this more than my PC now.
I am looking forward to the game as I really enjoyed all the Grid games including 2019. This looks similar in graphics but enough for me to want to play the story and new cars & tracks

Any idea when the photo mode will be added?
p.s I also gave in and got GT7 at the same time :gtpflag:

Some time post-launch, no specific date as of yet :)
It's a question I really shouldn't have to ask, but given the lack of it in Dirt 5 (which still bugs me far more than it should do, but a great photo mode without replays just doesn't compute). Do you know if Legends will have replays?

@PJTierney Any info on splitscreen? It was "promised" for GRID 2019 to come via update, but that update never came.
No info currently. All the multiplayer I’ve seen/done so far is online.

Legends has replays, or at least I’ve had replays so far. I’ve not played on console yet though.

This has replay capture:

Excellent news

On an unrelated front, looking back on 2019 and what I'm looking forward to in Legends

Scaff you managed to 100% describe how I felt about Grid 2019 and how I looked at Legends now. We experienced this so similar it even feels scary/freaky at times when I heard your video dialogue. Especially that part about weirdly even looking forward to the story.

“I do not have good willpower when it comes down to racing games” 😂 Same here, this is so recognisable for me as well. 🙈 I initially even bursted in laughter when GRID Legends was announced thinking to myself “yeah right, what idiot will buy that game?”. And here we are now, eagerly waiting for Feb 25th. 😁

Really can relate to the video Scaff. However, I can't afford to pick up every title just like that so with GT7 and GRID LEGENDS in the same release window I had to make a choice. Legends wasn't really on my radar until recently but with all the info that has been released, it has gotten to me. I watch both games and what they bring to the table. Grid Legends came out on top due to story, career, AI and presenting the thrill of racing. As you say 'a cheesy story but in a good way' which I haven't seen in a very long time. I so much welcome this! Oh yes before I forget : the different game modes are varied too. I think this could be a real hit.

That was a good video Scaff!. I especially enjoyed “I do not have good willpower when it comes down to racing games” I feel the same way. I keep telling myself that I'm not going to buy anymore after GT7 but I know eventually I will pickup Hot Wheels, F1 2021 and of course Grid Legends. Right now besides my budget the main thing keeping from getting more racing games is space on my SSD. Once I get more I might be in trouble. I am looking forward to GRid Legends later on this year. I kinda want to buy it but with GT7 and some other things I have to take care I am going to have to wait on Grid Legends. When I first heard about this game I was like eh. But now I am legit excited about it and if I was getting GT7 I would be on this game.

At its core Grid 2019 was a bad game? Not at all, IMO very fun to play (on a controller), some of the best graphics and environment of the past generation, with 4K (or a very convincing imitation) and solid 60 fps all day. I wouldn't know about it's multiplayer because I don't do that, but what I've seen from Legends I might be enticed.
As a value proposition? Full price no, at a discount? Absolutely worth it.

I’m also a previously hardcore PC gamer (90s and 00s with games like DAoC, Age of Empires, UT and WOW just to name a few) but around 2013 made the switch to console and gaming from a sofa in front of a big TV. I haven’t regretted that decision even one day. ☺️ Also dabbed into a sim racing rig (connected to my old Xbox One), into 3D gaming (with those 3D glasses) and PS VR but I always end up just sitting in the sofa in front of my TV as my most enjoyed experience. :)

I don’t own a PS5 yet (and will wait for a PS5 Slim/Pro/whatever version that isn’t as ugly and bulky as the standard PS5) but I heard good things about the Dual Sense controller. I pre-ordered Horizon Forbidden West (I totally loved Zero Dawn) and GT7 for my PS4 Pro but those versions that also include the PS5 edition, for the future. Both those games also support the dual sense and in case of Forbidden West I heard great things about it.

I wonder what happened between Codies and Mercedes as well as McLaren, they seemed to have a great relationship with those two until they were gone in Grid 2019 and haven’t returned yet…

Still no return of Lamborghini either, they only appeared in the very first game just like Ferrari, but unlike the prancing horse, they’re still to reappear again, but I’m still hopeful…

Otherwise a solid car list, just want more Audis, mostly the R8 Performance, as well as the R8 LMS Evo to go along the new M6 GT3 in the GT racing category, so I’ll keep fingers crossed for the DLC to deliver.

Honda seems to be missing in the full car list, the previews from a week ago has a Super Modified Honda Civic and I think a S2000 for Tuners class.
