I’m kinda semi retired from gaming now but seriously tempted to dip my toes back in with this, especially for the touring cars.

I play on a pad so can anyone let me know if controller settings are fully customisable like dirt rally? I use the d-pad for steering (yes I’m that old school)

Should be fully custom, the wheel/controller support was handled by the same staff who worked on DiRT Rally 2.0.

GRID Legends currently has the best racing environments in console and nothing can convince me otherwise.
They get that racing is a colorful, dirty, dusty, and smoky affair (in a dusty world) and that gets portrayed in the tracks and the lighting picks that up beautifully. Better than the Matrix-like sterile graphics of others.

And also the game does have substance. This is not Ridge Racer with better graphics. If you try to drive properly there is depth to the physics, the control, and specially the tuning of the cars.

Does this game have like a weekly or daily time trial competition/leaderboard? Man, that’s one thing I liked about project cars 3. But I ended up buying this on PS5 tonight and it’s installing. I should have picked it up on sale last week but I’ve been dying to play and don’t want to wait for the next sale.

Please share your impressions with us!

So I picked up this game to have some light racing alternatives to GT7. I was getting a long fine with it and about 3 races in the cars started acting funny like the clutch was burned out. I could get all the revs out of the engine as well as shifts but no go. Max speed of 25-35mph. Worked fine for the first couple rounds.

I should probably mention I use a Fanatec CSV 2.5 on a drive hub so the game might not like that at all I suppose.

Ok. I bought it today on sale. Is there any news about DLC? I wonder is it worth it to upgrade to deluxe edition.

This used to happen a lot in Dirt Rally 2.0. Check to make sure you have enough deadzone on your handbrake if you are using one because even a percent or two on the handbrake can keep you from moving forward in some circumstances.

Question for those who bought GRID Legends in the box... Does Seneca And Ravenwest preorder pack was included as Key in the box or it was sent to you seperately on email?

I bought my copy from Amazon. No contents inside. Wasn't aware that it came with any DLC. Haven't been looking too hard at this point tho. Work is really getting in the way of my sim racing, lol.

Thank you for that piece of information. Updated my drivehub and went into the game to see what I could do about Handbrake deadzones. I went thru the calibration menu and when I got to the Handbrake it was not being recognized by the game. Completed calibration without Handbrake and the next race was no issue. Thanks again.

Hopefully I can get the Handbrake sorted before I get to an event that needs it's use. I'm not sure I have proper Handbrake action in GT7 come to think of it. Just haven't been drifting much at this point.

I really like this game. A little more arcadey but still retains some nice sim features. Graphics and sound are great, the variety is a lot of fun. I think this title really complements GT7.

Man oh Man....when on earth are they gonna patch the sponsorship and Campaign progression bugs for this game? Finished the Gauntlet and still shows 0/9 events completed.
I'm glad I'm not alone here.

I fulfilled all the criteria for the Concordia sponsorship, but the game doesn't seem to recognise this. So can't get the X-bow reward car. I haven't been able to find any discussion online about this problem.

The game is not much popular, I guess.

The Concordia sponsorship is one of the first I fulfilled so I really had no problem in unlocking the event (getting the X-bow was tough!). I remember that changing sponsors will reset the progress of your current "contract". Maybe If switching to Concordia and make custom races to fill the criteria will fix the issue?

Haven't had any sponsorship issues until the latest patch. Progress is lost in the sponsor events every time I run them. Gauntlet all golded but after completing the races it shows 0/9. Well at least I've platinumed the game. Only trophy that gave me trouble was For sure, Jan (Ginetta GT3).

Any of you guys do some leaderboards?

So I took the plunge and ordered this, arrived today and managed a few hours on it.

Have to say it’s great fun, takes me back to the games of ps1/ps2 days where everything was a bit more colourful and not too serious, it’s nice to just be able to pick up and play.

As a touring car fan the car roster is fantastic, the super tourers is something I’ve been wanting for years which other more sophisticated sims on consoles have failed to provide so it’s great for that.

The only thing that is missing for me is the ability to create a single player custom championship as I’d love to be able to recreate those glorious toca days.

As the new btcc game is on the verge of being cancelled hopefully codemasters step up with a dlc to add a few more British tracks and modern touring cars, that would be great.

The problem is that once I fulfilled the criteria for the Concordia sponsorship it shut down. The game seemed to recognize the completion, but the stats didn't reflect this, and the reward remains closed off.

For me it would be fantastic if some of the DLC packs add content about super tourers or TCR.
Dirt and Dirt Rally series never forget Colin McRae's legacy, so why not Grid get it back some TOCA memories?

I know there will be license issues with BTCC if you want to recreate '97 and '98 seasons but if Codies use fake liveries or liveries based in other championships maybe it will be possible.

On the other hand, Codemasters please, McLaren F1 GTR & Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR are a must have to race against Panoz, Elise and 911 GT1.

Don’t think liveries would be a problem as there are already some from that period.

Just a few more super tourers and some uk tracks would top it off.

Honestly, I have yet to see a truly "next gen" game form any platform/genre. Graphics? 4K and VR were achieved in the past generation. Higher resolutions at faster fps? Not revolutionary, is just a matter of power and Moore's law does that periodically. Playing from special SSDs for faster access and performance?, ok, that has been neat, but other than that, we have the same controllers, the same interfaces, the same IA...

IMO Grid Legends is actually an updated Grid Autosport, which is fine.
