We already know they have 11 or more menu books and a whole host of races just sat ready to go that they're holding back.

They have International and Super Licenses with no use for them because they didn't finish adding/enabling the corresponding events.

Except it is. Live service game doesn’t equate to how much content is single player and multiplayer. Live service game is a game that receives constant updates over time adding and changing things within the game to improve QOL. The game is designed in a way to keep you playing for months and months it’s literally a template for a live service game.

I can't believe after this whole outage people are still defending PD. It was a stupid decision to begin with and will always be

And the reason being for that was half way through development the dev team making it got kicked off and another one took over giving them very little time to polish and ship a complete package. GT7 shows no signs of that at all. Very few bugs game running smoothly for the majority of people. Yet because they patch stuff after launch it’s unfinished?🤣 Games will never not have bugs so don’t expect bug free experiences because you aren’t going to get them. So in what way is GT7 unfinished?

Well the fact that the devs think it's unfinished by having to fix the "economy" is just stupid. The game itself may not be unfinished, but I feel like PD is just trying to make a huge cash grab with the credits system and they're selling a "live service" game that is mostly single player. GT Sport was literally a multiplayer focused game and I could still play single player when servers were down. To me this just seems like BS. I was not expecting this when I bought the game and if I don't see improvement I'm not buying the next one.

Wtf did I download 60 gb for from the launch edition then, for PD to give me some false hope that I can actually play the game?

If you can't play single player modes without internet connection to servers - it is live service game after all.

I'm as disappointed as anyone else that we can't play the game that we bought. But, in fairness, we all knew before we bought this game that you could not play it offline.

This might be a nice opportunity for some to jump onto Project Cars 2 because it's a phenomenal game and you can play it offline.

Forza Motorsport does this, yet you have access to the entire game if the servers go down or you lose connection for whatever reason.

Forza Horizon does this, yet you have access to the entire game if the servers go down or you lose connection for whatever reason.

Gran Turismo 6 does this, yet you have (had) access to the entire game if the servers go down or you lose connection for whatever reason.

Gran Turismo 5 does this, yet you have (had) access to the entire game if the servers go down or you lose connection for whatever reason.

Officially? No.

Personally, I'm guessing 24 hrs minimum. They broke something good and it seems like they're wholesale rewriting it.

At a guess, what would take them so long. do you think they are reverting the changes they made that have caused an uproar? I cant see what else the could be doing. I've been playing this game for a week now an nothing seems broken enough for them to take this amount of time. I have a feeling they have seen the many angry mobs of fans after releasing the patch notes about patch 1.07 and are overhauling it due to poor reception.

Me too 8hr shift come home offline mode is so lame can't access my garage only arcade and very small amount of cars why even bother with offline mode if it's that bad? I didn't know GT7 was online only in single player, it makes no since now the map of the Crew 2 yes because the map is huge ,but GT7 is mostly tracks and garage for cars,tuning and gt auto. Why is online needed for that?

The amount of people who have never experienced a live service game before 🤣 you think 1 day is bad? 🤣 “omg PD is scamming us they did this on purpose as it’s outside of the refund window” 🤣🤣 some live service games have gone down for weeks at times rendering every single piece of content unplayable. Yet some of you are behaving like a unplanned extra maintenance due to the discovery of a critical problem with the patch is the end of the world it’s hilarious. If they decided not to run extra maintenance and let this critical error stay as we play and potentially break our games and lose all our progress etc How would you react then? some annoying maintenance is definitely preferable to a potiential bug ruining a lot more than just your ability to play for one day.
