Wow I'm pissed. Have to be 'US citizen'. Legal resident (like in most contests) is not enough. This means I can't participate in anything. No EU contest (I don't live there) and no US contest because of this.

FAIL :(

Umm... Did you actually try and register?

"ELIGIBILITY: Contest open to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older as of December 6, 2010."

Resident just implies that you live here...

:sly:

Contestants of the Nissan Gran Turismo® Academy Round 4 must not have any prior Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and/or Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) convictions and/or previous felony convictions including Reckless Driving.

yet another thing im screwed over by for screwing up.

P.S. i want to see a GTP member take the crown!

How long ago? I say register anyways if you really want to go for it...

We've all screwed up, If its more than 3 years ago I'm guessing they won't even know about it...

Registered. Southeast region. Let's go!

Any guesses on what tracks we'll compete on?

What tracks are you practicing on?

Hmmm sounds good. I didn't try to sign up because on the actual page it said citizen. Confusing!

I shall however sign up now because I'm sure the actual rules page is correct. :D

Hmmm.... I registered and it confirmed on screen, but nothing in my Gmail - even in Spam??? Was there anything important on the confirmation email such as a number or code?

No confirmation code, here is the header: "Thank you for registering for GT Academy" Also, I sent this to an email address that is different than the email address for my PSN account and it still came in.

Not quite sure what it is all about, no confirmation email, but it does tell me I'm already registered if I try to d oit again...

My registration email came in but it was marked as spam by gmail. Did you check your spam box?

CONFIRMED
If you are using Gmail Check your Spam Folder!

I'm registered. Southeastern Region

Sorry to hear about the Canadians But the UK got it last Year and hey... They got the free Jaguar!

Good Luck To Everyone.

Updated title... Thoughts about practice? I know previous competitions used London and Indy Road Course. Any thoughts on what the courses might be?

I'm thinking they will stick to real world courses, and I'm secretly hoping some of the DLC will be contest specific courses (wishful thinking, no doubt). Definitely planning on practicing with the 370z in stock form with the stock tires. Newly built DIY adjustable wheel stand at the ready!

and what about us europeans? :(

Maybe we have better drivers :P

... Or maybe you've already had it.

Twice.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that it is coming to Europe as well... But I also remember that details have not yet been worked out.
Either way I truly do feel your pain - The whole Indy 500 VIP thing that we got was not what I was looking for. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for ya.

 I don't think I have access to my usual psn's email anymore. Guess I'll use a new handle...

It is a shame that Polyphony only gives U.S.A. citizens a chance to participate even when they state that this academy is for "North America"... north America is not just one country. Many people in Mexico and Canada are not going to be happy.

Registered. Had to pull the comfirmation out of my Gmail spam though.

Good luck everyone.

I don't expect much from myself, just in it for a good time.... who knows what could happen.

I have not received the confirmation to my comcast mail but the site confirms I am registered.

Colorado here, I guess that is in the West :D. I hope to be in the top 2000 but I don't have a DFGT yet... still using the controller.
