UK site is under maintenance, but if you check out the US site you can see rankings and other cool stuff. Im guessing the they are updating the UK site with the same stuff, also german site is under maintenance.

Ive also completed all 10 events with Gold, however my rankings were not 1st in any of them

That was yesterday and a box told me so, Not checked since but sure i will have been knocked down a few thousand.

I'm currently 200th something on 2-5, you can make up so much time on this one depending on the AI of the Cars and where they break etc, It's a random pick every time, I didn't put wheels on the grass doing my time so pretty pleased with it on a DS3

Very good question, i don't know the answer but i'm curious to find out. Thrustmaster setup will be much more expensive though.

I had a good few attempts on the Nurb test and I gotta say there are some sloppy sods in the top slots 👎 I quit time after time passing the red silvia and never let it cross the line when i thought I had made a tiny contact even if I wasn't sure! It is GT academy after all...

Anyway my missus said she watched the top 2 fastest laps and sure enough both drivers make a tiny strategical hit on the red silvia at the perfect angle just like wall banging

This is pathetic! If you need to clip cars to gain speed then you are a garbage racer in my view and that goes for Amo and the current 1st place guy khmnt, and anyone else who wants to dirty drive there way into the top spots 👎

I've had my fill of this new breed of so called great racers with no class whatsoever and no self respect, bring back the old days of 100% clean racers at the top please as these guys are just desperate! The combo at the beginning says no impact with other cars so you just tickle it instead pffft what a load of cr@p!

We used to run people off the forums for wallbanging etc and these guys get all the eeks and bows as if they are amazing? hahaha what a crock

looking at the 'manual' for GT Acadamy 2012, it mentions how to use your clutch.

god damn. isnt the clutch slightly faster? on these tiny TT's that would be significant

The clutch used to be a huge advantage in 5p, don't think it is now.(except if the hardwire flat shift trick works? dk)

As for Ron, couldn't agree more mate, these punks are really sad, maybe it's a reflection of nissan in general after all, they are looking for a poster child over substance imo.

Yea.. totally agree, but as far as im aware the first 7 events count for nothing and you don't even have to enter, as long as round 8 is fair i.e no cheating can be done or clutch able to be used then the better drivers will come out on top were in matters but yea still annoying right..

1-1 managed to get to 7th (currently) literally piece of tracing paper between the top 100 or so, finding them extra thousanths now is hard

If anyones bored or needs some help with improving you can check out some of the videos I've now uploaded of my first night on the event most times were top 10 during the night but obviously sleepnig till midday and uploading videos has meant no time to go on and improve, I generally saw huge time increases available on most ghosts so I'll give it another bash soon enough :

O and as for bashing I won't be bashing my way through on the Silvia one though, that's for sure, track limits ye 3 wheels of the road is fine it's about finding and hitting the edge something you'd do in real life. Hitting another car to gain an advantage? Nah sorry you wouldn't do that in real life (Maybe if your Plato @ Donington ? But I still like the guys racing)

(I've used the word bashing alot, I may change to scraping in another post )

Agree 100% I've only tryed the first 5 events in the nissan leaf, but after loading the number 1 ghost for them and realising all they do figure out how much corner cutting they can get away with has put me off from trying the rest.

I probably sound bitter that I cant match their times, maybe I am abit. But I fail to see the enjoyment in this competition when to get to number 1 you have to corner cut and clip cars to keep speed up.

No doubt the guys in the number 1 spots are most likely amazing drivers in the game and probably have potential to be great real life racers. But I dont understand how finding out which player learned to corner cut best or learned when to bounce off another car at the right angle to keep speed is going to translate into real world driving.

Would be hilarious to see this kind of driving when they are in the finals driving a real 370z / GTR or whatever car is being used this year.

Guys, Corner cutting and Wall banging/Car Banging are 2 completely different scenarios. Corner cutting happens constantly in all forms of motorsport (BTCC rule at Brands Hatch they had 3 chances, Thruxton 4 wheels over the white line not allowed 3 was), people try to get away with as much of the track limit as they can to get the best possible time, nothing wrong with that, it's natural for any form of competitive racing.

Any form of banging doesn't happen in motorsport because it would damage your car and risk injury of yourself, except destruction derby but ye different kettle of fish. Which this should be frowned upon, and the above corner cutting (With at least 1 wheel on track though of course) shouldn't be, in my opinion but hey your entitled to your opinion, but thats my view on the situation.

For the sake of the game 2 wheels is generally accepted, I agree with this because you can find the limits without a total cop out where you don't even bother trying to take the bend. Just imo.

Somehow I kinda expected Amo to do such a thing, never been a clean driver in my book.
I feel for you Ron and I'd agree if I was taking part in GTA.

Hi I was wondering if you're able to race the complete nurbring when driving reversed? Haven't tried that yesterday(also other tracks).
