GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

the R35 GTR was the easiest one so far for me to Gold in. I guess real world experience pays off a bit... Gold on first lap then i only did 5 laps and got a 1:57.1 but i had a easy 1:55 but kept getting airborne on that last bump and wrecking. so now im over compensating and braking where im loosing a good 2 secs to the finish line.. im pretty much 4 wheel drifting the whole track

will try to shave off some tomorrow but like i said that last bump gets me.. way ahead of my ghost and then airborne and hit the wall.. then when i let off or brake the ghost passes me

The R35 trial is a tough one to get a hold of. Took me many tries just to get a clean lap in without getting into a wall. Finally put up a 1:53.556. Just outside the top 10 for now, but I'm sure I'll be out of the top 256 by the time I get up tomorrow. :lol:
The right hander after turn 1 is giving me fits. I think I went about 5 straight laps hitting the exact same part of the wall. The jump at the end of the course is pretty fun though.

Edit: Have no idea how I'm going to pick up 2 seconds if I ever want to get to the lead. Guess I'll have to learn how to actually tune a car some day.

Motegi was a bit hard running equal pp with them, had to do 2:02 atleast to beat em but a2:00.9 was my best.
Im fine for now at a 1:56 in the TT.

Very easy to get gold this time... but is it me or those created tracks are not fun at all... blind turns, bumps, hills, nothing to look like a real race track...

ok im done for the night i got a 1:56 with only weight savings #2 and detuned to 501hp ( or something close to that)
 
Also, I'm quite happy that I'm not only the fastest DS3 player but the fastest without active steering as well. 👍

Ok ok we get it your some sort of child prodigy, no need to rub everyone's nose in it :) I practice without AS but in the TTs I can't stop myself from using it because it lets me focus on going faster instead of focusing on not crashing. Well done to Yinato, it looks like he's going to win the 450 PP event aswell.
 
Thanks for the car loan CargoRat, 1:57.452 on my first lap, i only go for gold so left it there. Won the race by 20 seconds. Your tune on the car was perfect for the TT, just adjusted the gearing for the race. 👍
 
i dont see anything wrong with using it. sometimes I use AS on mild as in real life the GTR tends to correct understeer and oversteer and i drive in the game the same style i really drive on the track i know there are tricks of the trade to knock off time when you play it more like a video game but i only use the wheel with a cockpit set up and i drive just like i do in real life as in i dont do things like left foot braking as i dont in real life

Samurai_405 did 1.51.6xxx with a rear comfort tire and front sports hard with a controller, this guy it the true prodigy lol
 
They should make tuning prohibited for the TT's. It's kind of stupid to only set maximum PPs, so that many people will max the car out and then restrict it back to the PPs that are basically referring to the untuned car.

The gold-times are definitely doable in the car left completely stock and times would be comparable between all drivers.

The way it is now, I just gold it and then stop, because I have no intention of making irreversible changes to the cars.

For fun, I just tried the TT with bone stock Nissan GTR, 526hp - 1730kg - 541pp, comfort soft tires all around, no aids/ABS, 2:00.472 in 2nd lap, too easy to gold even when being cautious on the last half of the track/driving rather relax.

Update : Shaved more than a second, 1:58.286, with quite a few slow corners ( same setup )

Is it NOT a good idea to max out the HP for this one?

Yes, I find Motegi a bit tedious, it's bringing back bad memories from GT4.

So i just done mine..the Motegi race was easy using lldantels tune..the ime trail needed a bit more effort..and i got 430 Scuderia '07! 👍
