GT Academy Prize Car Seasonal

I just ran the car stock on the TT. Takes a few laps to figure out the brake zones. This car is traveling fast! Went from 59's to mid 55's after about 10-15 laps. Fun track. Might try it some more-there's plenty of places to shed time.

Race I started stock just to see how it goes but I'm lousy at Motegi so was stuck at 3rd after a few tries. Added ECU and Sports Air Filter and won. Clean laps.

Maybe it's just me or the car but can't say I enjoyed the Motegi race. Basically learning brake zones and not hitting the AI when outbraking them. Don't think I'll revisit the race and try to win all stock.

Despite being frustrated with a lot of red laps, I thought Toscana TT track was excellent. I kept clipping the sand under braking or running too wide in a couple of places, and then when I was on for gold, got the jump wrong a couple of times.

As much as I'm not a fan of the GTR I thought it was well suited to the track and managed 2:00.003 - after about 10 laps (3 clean). I think I could get in 1:97, but sadly no time.

Those Prize car seasonals are really great.
I'm strugglin'g with them more than normal because I has bought the G27 and begining to drive with it and manual gearbox... but It worth it.

If you are going to complain about the car because I didn't do weight reduction or whatever else suits you, don't bother asking to borrow anymore cars. I'm doing you a favor by putting these cars on share and you think you have the right to tell me what to do or not to do to the car because you can't drive it. I don't have to share these cars you know and you should be thankful people are sharing them. You can go find someone elses car to borrow. I'm not putting irreversable mods on my cars just to suit you.

I’m new to this and usually using other people’s tunes, but this time I have developed my own. Can someone please test my tune and post some feedback. My setup should be more or less ok – I did 1.54 in Toscana. Suggestions regarding suspension setup would be especially welcome. I know it is a bit late into the TT, but we’ll have almost the same car next week so perhaps it is relevant.

@neb: What are you talking about "locking" it. Its on share, just like normal. If you can do weight reduction and engine stage to a borrowed car, then he should have done it instead of crying to me. I was unaware you could do that to borrowed cars. I knew you could tune them, but was unaware you could perform those two things.

No no, I'm sorry. I meant the forum you started for sharing GTA cars, it's now closed. I meant to say "closed" not "locked". Seemed like people were using it, was wondering why it ended up getting closed, that's all. But never mind as that is off topic for this thread.

There always seems to be 1 thing going on with GT5, and only 1 thing.

So after GT Academy, and then all these special races are over, something else will pop up soon.

I know Kaz has said there was other stuff he wishes he added to GT5, but I have to imagine they are directing most of their energies to GT6 now.

I would hope a little more DLC is the next project, but maybe it will just be a medium sized patch with some simple extra features.

And they don't need weight reduction, i can gold the TTs and win the seasonals with the tune you leave on the cars CargoRat, and i'm just glad you're kind enough to have them on share...Thanks again mate. 👍

Thanks my friend. Appreciate the compliment. The next car will be on share as soon as I gold the next event. Should only take a few minutes as I'm just going for gold and not taking it any farther on that account. If you need anything else, just let me know. Take care.

With the GTR Black Edition TT at Toscana soon to be closed, I decided to give this car another go. I had 1:58.286 lap time set before with bone stock GTR Black Edition GTA'12. The car did not even have oil change yet, 526hp-1730kg-541pp. I have used comfort soft tire all around for this TT, and as per usual no aids ( no ABS ). I set the BB at 9/6 in order to brake late in one of the downhill section, my highest speed here on the track is at 272km/h, before brake hard to 120km/h range for the right curve.

Less than half hour ago, I tried several laps and got better time with 1:58.079 using the same CS tires and setup. I feel like there's another second with perfect lap. I gave another lap or two and managed 1:57.898. Even with this time, I still eased off the throttle on the last few corners, still could get another half a second at least. I really like the track, well suited for the car, and CS tires feel so perfectly matched with the car in stock form.

EDIT : Holy crap, I did another lap with more relaxing approach, still with the same bone stock GTR, same BB 9/6 and CS tires. I got 1:57.356, and surprise ... I still think there are times to be had here. Awesome GTR.
