and i still don´t know how can they implement damage via download... if you can use GTHD cars in GT5... i just don´t like it... that means GT5 graphics will be with the same engine as GTHD....

hmm... isn´t GTHD just a souped up GT4? i mean using assets and stuff... i hope they build a totally kick a$$ engine for GT5... gran turismo games were always the top PS games graphicswise... i still expect GT to "wow" me in the PS3...

as for downloads... please peoplelets be reasonable with GTHD... if everybody really buys into that and spends like crazy... then we´re in bad shape for GT5...

No, GT:HD is two games, GT:HD classic which is GT4:embarrassed:nline running in high resolution, and GT:HD Premium which is the next generation GT engine it's kind of like GT5:Prologue. It features all the high detail car models, traks and better physics (we hope) the works. Have you not seen any of the screenshots or videos? the GT:HD classic content won't be transferrable into GT5, the GT:HD Premium content might, that's unconfirmed at this point. As for car damage, it's all about how you model the cars, any car model can be deformed but GT4's car models mostly one large shape, GT:HD Premiums are modelled body panel by body panel, theoretically you could remove the cars body panels in the car selection screen. I doubt you'd be given that option, but popping the hood, opening the doors and the boot would be nice and is a more realistic wish.

^Kinda like in the TDU Showrooms.^

I like that, I think that GT could do that MUCH better, with accurate engine sounds.

Well, now that it is known that GTHD is cancelled, we can assume that it was a bad idea. Heh. Almighty God, please, please shield my ears from the term "microtransactions!"

But we all know those will come at some point.

I think PD and Sony realized that they may upset the balance of the universe if they entirely re-wrote the Gran Turismo formula in one iteration of the game. Also, it was looking like GTHD would have just slowly evolved into GT5, and that releasing a new game called Gran Turismo 5 would have been very difficult if it already existed (for the most part.)

@Fredzy: It was kinda funny to watch you panic at the prospect of being labeled a noob in that thread you created. No harm done, but it wouldn't have looked as bad if you had used the edit button. ;)

Anyway...

I never thought of that. Good point. It'd be like if the Live for Speed crew finished S3 and said "okay folks, now you have to buy the whole thing in one separate package."
