The fact that ALL the cars are obtainable with ingame currency without any FOMO mechanic (I don't consider invitations or Legendary car dealership as FOMO because for the first, it allows you to buy cars not so expensive and if you play regularly you'll have all of them, and all the car on the LCD are in a rotation) is the thing that made me never complain about MTX on GT7.
The FOMO mechanic, the VIP **** or car passes are what kills video games nowadays.
I've completly stopped playing Destiny 2 for this reason.

I just enjoy the game? I have already around 370 cars. Event 16 duplicates of GT500 cars to make Super GT Custom races with different liveries. I really don't understand why people prefer paying for DLC instead of being able to play and buy one for ingame credits.

And lets be honest. Those hours of grind are just for some cars worth 20 milions rest of them are normally obtainable.

I know there are some problem with ingame economy of GT7. Especially those god damn invitations are awfull, but overall i prefer GT7 way with full free content, and PERMANENT... not 6 week timegated events like in Forza.
I think most people that do that kind of comments dont even play the game i mean..., i think if he likes to pay for everything lets recommend him to play IRacing..., but wait i bet even after that and being supportive about paid content he or people like him will come here to say GT7 its full of microtransations when in reality you can get the content for free or by playing the game, and offcourse they will be against miscrotransactions while being suportive to that business model in any other game...
They always have something bad to say even if it doesnt match any kind of reality related to this world or this game, go figure...

Yeah. I used to play Destiny a lot. Stopped when they introduced time gated content... I just don't have time and possibility to follow every event in those games. Same with time gated career events in Forza this is just ********.

GT7 let me play the game all I want and when I want. And this is great.

The funniest thing is presenting playing actual game as something bad... If somebody doesn't like driving cars and using them for different races why trying to get all cars then?

Time gated content is horrible, I hate the time gated prizes in Forza even though they repeat every now and then, and I hate the time gated UCD, LCD and invitations cars in GT7. IMO they're both as bad as the other in this regard. But free DLC beats paid DLC every day.

The timed rotations of cars in previous GT titles was based on in-game time, not real time, so you progressed through the lists just by playing the game, not by waiting for real days to pass.

I can only imagine the uproar on this forum if GT7 launched with a premium edition that allowed you to earn twice as many credits.

I’ll still take how GT7 does these things over FM any day of the week.

I honestly don't see how that's a bad thing considering how easily you accumulate money anyways, specifically thinking about Forza. I can see it being a problem with GT, sure, only because of how tight they are with earning credits in game with their bad economy. What you get in those VIP packs have been worth the extra cost for the cars alone, dunno what they entail today as I haven't checked though. Hell, the weekly bonus super spins you get from FH4 are more beneficial than 2x credit earning, in the long run. You get a ton of cars and credits off that alone.

Unpopular opinion (maybe?) i personally prefer the GT7 realistic prices approach than this fictional price to perf index in Forza. But GT7 just need to have more ways to earn this cars not exactly much faster but more engaging/exciting/interesting ways.
This. 20 mill cr. for a legend car can be totally fine! If there were a way to earn this money without having to put 24+ Le Mans 30 minutes grinds, which is 12+ hours of real life time that one would have to spend on that car. And ok, that does not account for the 5k or 10k you'd get from your daily marathon roulette, but you get the idea.

To be fair there’s circuit experience, missions and time trial that give 1 or 2 million credits each. But the individual races definitely need a buff when it comes to earning credits.
