Spent 2 hours this morning breaking into the 1.21s barrier and %@@#%@#@!!! I REALISED THAT I RAN IN THE FORWARD DIRECTION.(ok i admit i'm dumb)

Spent another hour running in the correct (reverse) direction...

I'm at 1'24.222 with lots of room to improve, but not 1.3 seconds of room. 1'22.9 is going to be near impossible for me to achieve without cutting corners.

You aren't allowed to ride the grass anywhere? because i thought the rule was: 2 wheels on the track at all times.

With the width of the rumble strips here, 2 wheels in the grass usually means the other two are on the strip... and even if that's ok as far as the rules for this challenge go (not sure--I think at least two wheels must be on the tarmac at all times), I personally can't keep going when I've been off track that far, so if I'm ahead, I'll just slow down, let the ghost pass, and try again... I just want clean laps.

Wow! I was so wrong about not having 1.3 seconds worth of improvement to be made. I found a couple spots where braking earlier yeilded a huge gain, and one corner I was doing my turn-in far too late.

Currently 1'22.921 with probably a tenth or two that could be shaved.

tried for another hour today and shaved another 0.3 off
1'22.604 now, could have easily been a 1'22.5 if not for one of the last curb which launched the car into the air haha

Yeah, I posted about this earlier. Replay files are specific to each region. The prefixes for the replay folders: UCUS = North America, UCES = Europe, UCAS = Asia. Each region only works with its own replay data. I've tried to change some of Genesisfury's UCES replay files with a hex editor to reconcile the parts that seemed to mark it as a UCES file, matching them with my UCUS files of the same car on the same track, then renamed each file accordingly... this trial and error went on for a few hours, but regardless of what I changed, after saving the files and transferring it to the PSP, it always resulted in corrupt data... so no fix yet.

I'm going to do my best to crack that 1'22.5 today... gonna be very tough.

^ urataman has posted videos of his drift replays in the drift rally challenge thread, so he has the ability to put these on youtube. I for one have faith that his times are legitimate based on the car control he showcases in his youtube videos... like this one:
