I shift at both as well. If you get the proper corner exit speed from turn 1 and the 4/5 section, you really have no choice... it's either shift, or bounce off the limiter for a second or two while losing speed... easy decision to make. 
I'll finally be able to put some more time on this later today. Hoping for a .6xx... gonna be difficult.

I'm accepting defeat on this one. I changed my setup and immediately ran a lap to match my previous best down to the thousandth, 1'04.825... had been far ahead up until the last corner (may have been worth a .6xx), but messed up the braking point and my ghost gained and gained until we crossed the line at exactly the same time. Then I had a lap going that would have been .7xx or better, but went far too deep into the second to last corner... ghost passed me... then I did the last corner much faster and crossed the line at 1'04.807. My hands are hurting. I give up on chasing that .6xx. Will post screen/ghost in a moment.

I have been getting a couple of messages about something that happened early this week. I won't go into details, but I want to make sure everyone knows that I have 3 people who currently review US, Euro and Asia replays. If you are caught cheating, you will receive a warning and receive no points for the current challenge. I don't want this to be a big deal, just don't cheat. You ruin these challenges for the rest of us who don't resort to cheating. It just puts me a bitter mood and not motivated to continue with this. Just don't do it, is all I am asking. Thanks for understanding.

Not at all, lol.
I can still shave more off of this... I actually had to let off the throttle exiting the Dunlop tire corner to keep from going off on the outside... so there's more time there as well.

OMG! This car is going to be a handful here on S1s... lol, this'll be fun.
Edit: A very sloppy 1'59.727 to start. I wasn't sure this car was going to be able to break 2'00 on these tires, but sure enough.
Going to have to be very aware of the "two wheels on the tarmac at all times" rule here. Some of the rumble strips are very wide and tempting.
Oh, and is it just me or has this track not been ported TERRIBLY from Tourist Trophy? The track itself is very uneven and bumpy, throwing the car's balance off at the slightest dip... and the textures are just awful.
That said, this will probably be the best challenge yet.

I am glad you brought this up, after talking to my helpers with replay reviewing. We noticed that on Tsubuka, some members were going super wide on the last hairpin and four wheels were on the rumble strip. After speaking with them, we decided as a group that going into a turn and riding the rumble strip upon exit won't have any effect on your time. But coming back to the two wheels on tarmac at all times rule. I would just suggestion that you ride the first part of the tarmac because the 2nd portion of the rumble strip that blends with the grass will be considered taking a shortcut. Best time I have so far is a 1'59.716 I could probably squeeze some more out of that considering I let the tail out a bit too much exiting turn 4, but I don't really know if that affected my time much. Other than that I could clean it up a bit overall, but there isn't much you can do to keep this car from sliding without driving too slow
