Not for the 2 first challenges, e.g. Glubags'first time is his standard's one, not the pro one. What about your time for the 1st challenge ??? pro physics ?

I just try again the Mistu, today is not my day...

At some point in the thread the discussion turns to which physics set to use, and then it's declared that it should be pro only. I think this happened after the 2nd or 3rd challenge of the first season... I can't remember off hand.

Edit: I just checked the old thread, and from challenge 3 onward is pro only.

3. As of Oct 14th, current members have spoken and only Professional Physics maybe used for the rest of season. Members using standard, their times will not count.
That's why i asked for the 2 first challenges. Yours are ok Glu' ! I will also add your standard's lap because it's faster than the pro one ! I will also put mine -did it last month -Tsukuba Circuit / Forward. Nissan GT-R Specv '09, 0'54.996 pro physics (which is Glubags' +.005 :sly:)
psp88, need details for the first challenge please.
For the first 2 challenges I'll add Glubags, Bakemono, psp88, and niigaki -also need details please-. The other pilots/photos, not clean : can't see physics or circuit name... I'll check the following challenges too but I think they are ok cause they're after the 14th and you already did the job ! My concern was and is for the first 2 challenges.

Because I lost patience with this challenge, I decided to use the car in the other circuits in order to get used to it in other conditions and finished all S class ! I'll try again tomorrow on Motegi.

(Here is the video link with the Nissan at Tsukuba, data and photo are attached. Sorry for the off-topic. By the way, you can try to beat your own records, I'll update !)

Currently at 2'12.508 with some scruffy corners.

Edit: 2'12.292.

Edit: 2'12.051, and I just messed up a lap that was 0.467 ahead of that ghost at the beginning of the last sector, so 2'11.6xx should be within reach.

2'12.004 now. Getting there lap by lap, lol.

Mr. Glubags... you're fast, sir.

After about 25 laps, I was able to hit 2'13.6xx. You are more than a second and a half faster and you'll likely knock another second off your 2'12 time.

Good job!

@ easyblast

don't bother adding bakemono, my brother gave up during like the first couple of challenges in season one. said he was bored and started playing the virus we all know as world of warcraft.

By the end of this weekend, ill have the new event thread up and ready for sign ups with new rules and such.

I cannot get the handling right on this car / track. Struggling for traction and have massive body roll as well.

If only this thing had anti-roll bars.

2:18.xxx is as good as I am getting so far. I doubt I will even get to 2:16.xxx

Hey there tdunster. Try these settings, I am finding they cure the body roll, and stabilise the car through the corners, even with power on. You will need to take the corners in a way where you minimize the cars sideways momentum before hitting the gas, but even if you do start to slide a bit, a touch of counter-steering will power through it.

Ride Height: -18 Front -16 Rear
Spring Rate: 7 Front 7 Rear
Damper: 8 Front 8 Rear
Toe: -0.25 Front -0.15 Rear
Camber: 2 Front 1.5 Rear

I have managed 2'15.575 with these settings so far, but my driving has been poor, with only two great corners, and the rest spoilt by early and late braking and misjudging exit points - so with these settings I think there is potential for great improvement by a better driver!

Hi guys ! I had a little time to play today and spent most of it trying new tunings, without great results unfortunetly... I was able to do a faster lap time -but not best driving- but still stuck in the 2'14.xxx and using the first tuning because others don't work with me... So here it is : 2'14.101.

0'38.225
1'10.091
1'38.436
2'14.101

Hope to go down 2'13.xxx, but I won't have much time to do so...

Once I broke into the 2'12 range, I became satisfied and my motivation to improve decreased. With better execution, I could shave about 8 or 9 tenths off my time, but I've got other things I want, and need, to do.

2'12.971

 And it won't get better : 10th her birthday, 14th ... Valentine's day (we should think about psp dayS...), and chinese new year with her family and friends who will stay in my house for few days :ouch:... So I might not be as competetive as I would like to but I won't stand doing nothing, I'll try my best cause unlike some of us, when I do a great time, it's because I spent HOURS on the track... !

Wow you guys have this stuff mixed in with your real life? I don't know about you guys, but I can only find my self spending no more than 10 mins for each session, and often times, I'm doing these when I'm doing my vocal exercises or when I'm in the toilet.

I'm similar in that I can generally only handle 15 minutes at a time and then I need to play or do something else for a while. On average, I'll only invest about 30 minutes a day to the challenges (sometimes I can double that though).

Hey hey - got my first time to submit.

It isn't super fast as I have not had as much uninterrupted time to work on it as I would have liked, but it will have to do. I have checked the replay, and I believe it is clean.

39.058
1'11.388
1'39.943
2'15.102

This is my final time as I am off to sleep now, and entries will close during that time.

Have a good day/night!

Just got home from a long day out of town and had about 15 minutes to put in some laps. Managed to run 5 full laps and bring my time down to 2'11.862. It's still very sloppy in terms of braking for most corners, and there should easily be another 3 tenths or so to gain on this, but I have to accompany my woman to the bar and thus won't have time to work on this anymore before the deadline, so this'll have to be my final submission. Can't wait to see what Pitch can muster.

Hope I'm not too late, I had a slightly better time but just got back from a night out a little tipsy and somehow managed to overwrite my ghost. :dunce::grumpy: Oh well...

How do you do that ?... It's like : "power on... oh this lap is faster... and faster... and faster again !!! Cool game !" me it's like "power on... off road... better and then off road... maybe this one !!!... Oh no ! But why ???... Try again, and again, and again"

Great job Glubags ! You're really gifted !

So, because I can't improve it, here's my lap time : 2'14.101

0'38.225
1'10.091
1'38.436
2'14.101

But I am happy with that cause it's my first "home-tuned" car lap time and I wouldn't have been faster if I hadn't tuned it. Great improvment for me !

Here is the video link.

Same here for me except its usually shiny objects that distract me.lol It looks like I'm going to have even less time for challenges now. Starting 12 hour days at work on Monday until we can catch up with all the recalls. I worked today before heading to my friends house for beer, brats, and Badgers hockey! Was a great game but the buzz didn't help my lap times.(Which really could've used some help.) So with a whopping total of about 10 laps here's what I got.
Time: 2'18.695

Same here, but is more 1 to 2 hours a day... Lunchtime and before going to sleep if I don't have anything better to do, cause I am married man :sly:...

So next challenge !

I don't know if i'm in time for the challenge...

Hi guys ! Do you mind sharing your tunings once the challenge is over ? It would be a good way to learn. What do you think ?

Sorry Pitch, I can't accept your late submission. I bent the rules too much during season one and after that I am not excepting any late submissions anymore. Sorry

Updating times right now and will post the new challenge information.
