Thank you. Glad to be here, I got the Yaris down to 1'09.801 but any quicker's gonna be hard. Got any advice on tuning... or is not fair to ask?

It's fine to ask, but I'm no tuning sage.

I would offer this: since we are dealing with a front engine/front wheel drive car, the rear springs should be somewhat stiff. But understand that I know next to nothing about racing/cars/physics. Pretty much anyone else here would have more (and better) advice to give.

Thanx, I'll experement a bit. Gotta get down to 1'09.500. At least.

My fiancée went to the gym so I have some time to work on this tonight after all. Time to experiment some more with suspension settings!

Edit: Well I'll be damned. I used to be practically certain that a 1'08.xxx wouldn't be possible, but I just now ran a lap versus my 1'09.268 ghost and was ahead by 0'00.322 at the second split. That would've given me a 1'08.976 if I was able to run the last sector just as quickly, but I messed up both the second to last and last corners (just took them slower than possible, still a clean lap), so I wasn't able to hold or improve that lead, but approaching the line I thought I had it. Came up just short. 1'09.027. :banghead:

Splits:
T1: 16.221
T2: 36.460

Now that I'm confident a 1'08.9xx is possible, I'm going to put lots of effort into it tomorrow.

Lap time : 1'09.618

1. 0'16.343
2. 0'36.994
3. 1'09.618
No tuning

And now, I'll try some tuning thanks to a good friend of mine ! Hope to reach the 1'09.2xx or less...

Great challenge ! Thank you guys !

Just got 1'09.405. Can't seem to figure out the tuning for this car, I'm always losing grip out of corners. Think I might call it with this time...

Hi niigaki, here's my entry... it was a frustrating 2 days for me... but fun!

I run in 1'09.027.................. Same time !

Once again,Glubags you're faster than me on both splits.

T1 : 16.235
T2 : 36.558

Then I run in 1'09.003; and finally in 1'08.992 with worst splits I ever made !

T1 : 16.309
T2 : 36.629

I've got few hours to make a beter time but it seems to be hard.

Congratulations man! I have to hand it to you for being the first to hit 1'08, especially with that last split time! That's a very quick last sector... took you 32.363 seconds from split to finish compared to my 32.567 seconds... a difference of 0.204. If we could combine my first two sectors with your last sector we'd have an ideal lap time of 1'08.823!

Those last two corners are my biggest problem areas, the hairpin especially. I'm going to try very hard to get them dialed in and break into the 1'08s when I get home from work in about 3 hours. Wish me luck!

New lap time :

1'08.963

Splits :

T1 : 16,342
T2 : 36,607

I use this tunning for my lap time :

Spring rate F/R: 10/1
Damper F/R: 10/1
Ride height F/R: -20/+10
Toe in, F/R: +0,50/-0,50
Camber F/R: -0.7/-0.0

1'09.359

Thanks for the tip, Detroitbb.

GTP Worldwide Clubman Super Battle Royale.....

All I can say is that I am looking forward to this event a lot.

Times are updated btw.

I'm submitting now so I can go spin & mix records. I know I could beat this time as most all my recent laps were in the 1'09.5xx - 1'09.7xx range. I just have other things I want to do now!

1'09.474

My son didn't have any time to do this challenge either. Like niigaki, school is just taking up most all his free time at the moment.

1'08.957! :D

I'm not going to push this one anymore because my thumb hurts too much to hold the X button for very long. I hope Pitch can surprise me! We know a 1'08.8xx is possible from our sector times, and the split times on this lap aren't even my fastest:

T1: 16.247
T2: 36.548

I actually had a little time to work on this challenge yesterday, so my times aren't too bad. I still could not get past the 1'10.5xx mark. But an improvement if I do say so myself! I think I might be starting to get the hang of this.
A 5 day event sounds like fun to me, sure my wife won't be happy but...
Don't worry niigaki I won't give her your name. She just might drive to So Cal and find you:nervous:. lol
here's my time:1'10.521
