2 rounds at Nurburgring, that's odd,
Notice that one says "Sprint" and one says "Endurance". Those are actually separate races for the BES and BSS.

Any idea why they dropped two of the sprint races? My guess is it's a cost thing for the teams?2016 Blancpain GT Series Schedule:
April 8-10 — Misano (Sprint)
April 23-24 — Monza (Endurance)
May 7-8 — Brands Hatch (Sprint)
May 14-15 — Silverstone (Endurance)
June 24-25 — Paul Ricard (Endurance)
July 1-3 — Nürburgring (Sprint)
July 28-31 — Total 24 Hours of Spa (Endurance)
Aug. 26-28 — Budapest (Sprint)
Sept. 17-18 — Nürburgring (Endurance)
Oct. 1-2 — Barcelona (Sprint)
Pretty heavy schedule to start the season for the teams with 4 races in 6 weeks. http://sportscar365.com/blancpain/bss/misano-to-host-opening-round-of-2016-blancpain-gt-series/

Kind of disappointed to see two events at the Nurb. Nothing against the place, but there's so many amazing tracks in Europe it seems like a shame to use one twice. Personally, I would prefer to see the Nürb Sprint event moved to somewhere like Zandvoort, Brno, Imola, or even RBR, just for some more variety.
I don't know if I've ever watched GT3 cars at the Hungaroring before...should be interesting.

Really? Gee, thanks for thatAgain:

It's still the same 🤬 cars, same 🤬 drivers, on the same 🤬 track. Only difference is one event is longer than the other.
But thanks for pointing that out, what would I do without you![]()
You dont say....
That seems reasonable.Any idea why they dropped two of the sprint races? My guess is it's a cost thing for the teams?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there an Endurance Championship, a Sprint Championship, and the also an Overall Championship?
I don't need you to tell me anything. Your last 3 posts have been anything but informative.Yes. That's what I was trying to tell you.
BES (Blancpain Endurance Series)
BSS (Blancpain Sprint Series)
The relationship with the British constructor ended midway through the season, with team boss Arkin Akka already stating he was on the lookout for a new GT3 of the latest generation.
Hello Kitty Huracan.
Lampurrghini?
Yes, great news.Bathurst 12 hour can't come quick enough, going to be another good race.
I'm suffering from the lack of GT racing at this time of year,
Are you saying it feels like 1 GT race per month all year long, or just right now?Strength to strength. I love it when first time drivers visit the track. Then, they understand.
I just don't know when they're on. I see Abu Dhabi, Bathurst, Le Mans and then Silverstone. Other than that, I haven't kept up on the schedule. Feels like one race a month.
The overall championship is never really important though. It is like the Endurance Cups in IWSC and V8, it is just a random title added for a certain purpose. (In this case, for teams competing in both the Sprint Series and the Endurance Series). Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there an Endurance Championship, a Sprint Championship, and the also an Overall Championship?
Catching air on the bridge would not be cool.
That's a cool looking track, never seen that before. Aussie GT is the one GT series I can't find race replays of![]()
