Wonder how the whole Renault spec series' situation will end up with the loss of the FR3.5...
They already dropped it for next year, it's having a rebrand and is doing its own tour. The remaining RS:01 Trophy, FR2.0 and Clio Eurocup will just latch onto different support packages.

I'm guessing either a dump truck full of money or a partial ownership is involved.

Probably not until '17 unfortunately.
Dang...well it sounded like they'll be at some of the WSCC races this year, if not it still will be great when they show up. "Multi-car effort" also sounds promising. The article does make it sound like (almost) Pruett has some ownership. Also it's interesting he's partnering with his old Trans-Am/IMSA GT teammate.

Hopefully the Lexus can become competitive, because it has a swag V8.

Well...at least there's some good news outta the WSCC...kinda.

No more standing starts in GT and how can the 6hr opener be the only GT3 only endurance race in North America but also have GTS/GT4 cars?:odd:

As cool as that is...Pruett left Ganassi for that? :odd: What?

"When Lexus left motorsports, I pledged to them that I would be there to help them return when that time came." said Pruett. "That time is now and I could not be more ecstatic to be representing Lexus as a performance brand ambassador and on the track in the F Performance RC F GT3."

So basically, he's been a loyal Lexus guy despite the different makes that since adorned the Ganassi DPs he drove after the departure of Lexus.

He should just go back over to the crazy town he's from and stay there.

That Lexus ISF GT3 looks great! It has that kind of Gran Turismo Blau color kind of like my Lexus LF-LC GT "Vision Gran Turismo" car in GT6. I could remember Lexus from 2002 or so when they raced in Grand-Am with those IS200s. I even still have a little poster of those orange Lexus cars. So it will be great seeing this GT-spec Lexus compete.

Sept. 17-18 — Nürburgring (Endurance)

Pretty heavy schedule to start the season for the teams with 4 races in 6 weeks. http://sportscar365.com/blancpain/bss/misano-to-host-opening-round-of-2016-blancpain-gt-series/

Sprint schedule is reduced from 7 to 5 rounds and only Brands Hatch returns from last year. Last year Misano was the test day event. GT3 at Hockenehim would be a great race, too bad they didnt go there.
