GT1 and GT3 qualifying sessions are on GT1's Youtube channel, but are blocked for the US... Sucks, we follow them, we watch their PR crap but now we can't watch the sessions on Youtube??! Shame on you GT1!! [/rant]

It is??!!! I watched it this morning though. Unless you mean the qualifying races.

Some contractual BS that we will never know of or care to know or understand... Then when someone uploads independently in come the blood sucking lawyers to demand it taken down.

We don't get to watch anything!
What do you mean, you "don't get to watch anything"? Try tuning into any American television program through the likes of Hulu or Xfinity if you live outside the United States and see how far you get. Say I want to watch the latest episode of "Castle", which American viewers can do for free through the ABC website. I can't watch it online - instead, I have to wait until Prime (the worst channel down here) decides to play a new episode. Which might be six days from now, or six weeks from now. Or even six months.

So stop complaining. Americans get almost unlimited access to prime-time television. Nobody else gets nearly as much as you do. You haven't got a leg to stand on.

I should've reworded my post. I meant that we dont get to watch much racing besides NASCAR, Indy car, Indy lights, F1, Grand-Am, Continental Tire sportscar challenge, NASCAR support races.

Is not that we don't get anything, the problem is that we get way to much NASCRAP!

I agree completely with this, it also sucks for those living out of the U.K. They get BTCC and Superbike coverage while I have to wait for it to pop up on youtube.

I'd consider Malaysia as pretty lucky. We have many live coverage for motorsport including F1, MotoGP, Superbikes, WTCC, Nascar and many more. The FIA GT coverage is not yet known because it's not shown live on TV for this weekend's race - unsure if we indeed have lost the live coverage for this year. That will suck!

Unfortunately, we don't get many endurance races live coverage. We only get 1 hour live coverage of the recent 12 Hours of Sebring guess what? All those 1 hour was filled with interviews and unnecessary introduction of drivers. I was furious! We also don't get live BTCC coverage but instead of showing the full 3 races, we only get shortened highlights, compressing 3 races into 1 hour. I guess that's better than having none.

I think some should be thankful with what they already have, most can still watch the races online through BBC iPlayer or online SPEED/ESPN coverage. Malaysians have none of these - only rely on TV and Youtube. To make it worse for me, I don't have a good internet with big quota to stream these races otherwise I wouldn't be bothere of losing some live coverage here.

In India we have MotoGP and F1 on TV (I think there's Superbikes also, but I have to double-check the TV Guide to make sure of that). We also get V8 Supercars, other then that I'm not aware of any other touring car championship being broadcasted. I'm not trying to sound like I'm deprived or anything, but I do occasionally feel a little jealous of those living in countries that broadcast a wider range of motorsports.

Okay, we're getting wildly off-topic here. Let's go back to discussing GT Racing, and not the coverage of MotoGP and V8 Supercars.

The live qualifying is already finished. Come back to that exact link tomorrow around 14:00 (GMT+2) for the Qualifying race of GT1 and around 16:00 (GMT+2) for GT3 European Qualifying race.

So here in the UK it should be 2:00 for the GT1? It is just I don't have a passionate interest exactly in the GT3's.

Btw, I emailed Channel 4 here in the UK to ask whether they will be showing highlights of all races and they replied to say theirs no fixed plans to do that. However my email has been logged for the attention in charge of programming. Which is something.

No, the UK is at BST now. That's GMT +1 therefore the race would be 1PM.

Incidentally Diehardracer, there are no GT1 cars in GT1, they are all GT3 cars.

Coverage has started now. Race start at quarter past the hour.

Extra formation lap, so race is on now.

Ortelli/Vanthoor win, with Stippler/Jarvis second and von Thurn und Taxis/Enge holding off Demoustier/Parente for third.

GT1 qualifying race resulted in a 1-2 for the WRT Audi team. Ferrari came home a disappointing 5th after starting on pole. Lamborghini and Mclaren both surprised and came 3rd and 4th respectively.

Awesome race!!!!!!!!

This.

I must support my own drivers so I am overjoyed that Oliver Jarvis' WRT team got a 1-2 with Oliver and his teammate Stephane Ortell in the #33 R8 2nd to Stippler/Vanthoor who won. But as a childhood lover of Ferrari, sad that AF didn't do better and only just held of the pesky Vita4One beemers. Hope that Ide and co. can come back strong net time.

Those Audis were just unstoppable after the pitstops, incredible under the brakes. I'm a little disappointed Hexis just missed out on the podium, being a McLaren fan, but they did a great job after the poor qualifying. Very enjoyable race, anyhow!

Me too, in the closing laps I was praying for the car to overtake the Lamborghini. Disappointed for the other one though, only 17th.

EDIT: As you can see, I know nothing about the drivers, so I refer to them using the car brand.

Anybody knows what happened to one of the Vita4One BMW? He was following behind Enzo Ide's Ferrari but then dropped more than 8 seconds behind!

Great race none the less. Question, is the GT3 race going to be broadcasted live on YouTube?
