GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

Dramatic GT3 race. So many investigations, contacts, spins and worst of all, the mistake of changing to slicks! Shame for Baumann, he was one of them that changed on to slick from 2nd place plunged down to 4th, only the tyres worked on the very last lap

The 2nd place #11 Lamborghini has been removed and disqualified from the race.

^It's not blocked becuase that's GT1world.com's official channel 👍
They seemed to have moved over from dailymotion to youtube this year, even the live stuff :)
30 mins until GT3 though, up nice and early and hoping for another great race, and hopefully Hexis can have another good race this afternoon 👍 (What happened to the no.1 car? I tuned in half way around the warm up lap yesterday..)

Thanks so much thesrdic, also what series is JRM racing their GT-Rs in this year? GT3 wise that is since they're not in GT1 due to rule change.

I think GT3, but GT1 cars are GT3 as well now... there are more GT3 cars coming next round I think

JRM is GT3 this year, but why are there cars missing from the GT3 round 1? I wanted to see the BMW, GTR, Camaro and others. Now I have to root for the Merc.

Not sure, maybe just late entries, the entry list wasn't confirmed until a week or two ago
Might have a similar situation in GT1, and possibly BES

Idiot commentators. It's taken until 27:45 in the race to go before they even remember the rules and point out that there is a minimum pitstop time because the cars in the GT3 championship don't change their tyres unless the weather intervenes.

Now at 23.30 to go, they remember that championship leaders have an enforced longer stop. :dunce:

It's their bloody job to know stuff like that. :grumpy:

Also, IIRC (I didn't watch too much GT3 last year) the winners have a longer stop next time?
Edit: Lol they just worked it out :dopey:

I think it is time I did some serious grovelling. I was wrong about what I thought about the GT3 Championship. It is brilliant racing.

Hang on.. did we not see a championship standings table there?

Edit: Just showing race 1 atm on the GT3 site, although looking at the standings table, there are still '?'s over most of the teams' nationalities?

They've made a GT3 car, but they aren't racing it. They were purely a development team (they raced it last year in Blancpain and some British GT). They've been selling it to customer teams, so you won't see JRM racing in it this year.

I doubt the GT3 series will get any GT-R's unless it combines with a national series for some rounds. However, there is a GT-R in ADAC GT Masters, and 2 in British GT.

Thanks Speedster, I was already planning to watch the Blacpain GT3 British since it will have the Camaro GT but I also think you're correct about the GT-R in it. I looked at the racing list and I think I saw two GT-Rs.

Oh and also for those of you that were here earlier some pages back when I was looking for an FIA spec sheet. Well look what I found.
GT3 Weight Spec sheet

British GT at Oulton Park, United Autosports in control until fuelproblem robs them of win with 4 minutes left :ouch:.
