GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series, the British series posted earlier and I'd guess Grand Am next year...

I see. Can I get a time to watch the first race or rather where I can watch it in the U.S. I really want to support the Chevy guys like I do in everything (a bit exaggerated) beside F1 and DTM for obvious reasons.

Also for next year will it really run the same specs in Rolex?

Already found it well before you posted this, thanks anyways. I was more so looking for the "GT1" specs so I see how the Camaro stacks up with the others.

The specs are the same... exactly the same and the Camaro is also in that page you had already found.
I know its a bit confusing but GT1 is using GT3 spec cars from this year on.

I get this already, I'm talking about Rolex next year that will be running the Camaro. Not GT1/GT3

I would assume the cars are equal. That was the entire point of the GT World regulations - to bring GT1 and GT3 cars together on a level playing field.

I get that but the FIA doesn't provide concrete numbers from what I could find, unlike other series that is. I've been looking all yesterday and early this morning since I asked about it yesterday. I just wanted to see the specifications for each car to get an image of how they stack up, this is the first time I've looked in depth to this series. That past couple years I caught maybe one or two races.

I might be missing something here???? I was just trying to help but I dont think you like to be helped so Im off now...

Yeah you are, the comment where PM told me to go to the FIA website which I did, and is why I responded. The part you bolded. I told you thanks for an earlier comment. Just saying Jav obviously understands what I'm asking (so does PM) if you wanna help me out (which I appreciate) read all the comments I've made, for some funny reason they work in unison.

Rolex is kind of uncertain at the moment, they where looking into the DTM/SuperGT deal but that went south. So anything can happen now, if it does stay the same the car will be severely restricted just like the R8 LMS and 458 GT are beign restricted this season.

Too bad I love that big 7.9L Katech. I love most katech engines, but that 7.9 is just too cool. I'd hate to see them have to adopt the 5.5L Katech in the GTE Corvette C6.R.

Only 12 cars in GT3. I can't see that series lasting very long.

I guess including GT3 cars in GT1 kind of killed that series. Every team would rather race in a series under international eyes rather then race the same cars in a slightly lower regarded series.

Looking forward to going to Oulton Park on Monday.

Pole position goes to the AF Corse Ferrari. Closest rival are the WRT Audis. I'm pretty dissapointed with the BMW Vita4One performance today. Does anyone know what's actually going on there? They're quite off the pace!

EDIT:

I'm very satisfied with the live YouTube coverage. Hopefully tomorrow will be all smooth just like today!

How do I get to see all qualifying and race action live? That is why I liked GT1.TV. But they have stopped it and now I don't know how to see action live as it happens.

The live qualifying is already finished. Come back to that exact link tomorrow around 14:00 (GMT+2) for the Qualifying race of GT1 and around 16:00 (GMT+2) for GT3 European Qualifying race.

EDIT:

Also, does anybody know why is that both the Championship races going to be held on Monday instead of Sunday? Feels strange though :P

Commentators said race one was tomorrow and race 2 was Monday. I could of swarn that's what I heard.

Anyone hear John Watson bust on the guy who did not qualify cuz of power steering being inop. Man that was priceless.

Channel 4 will show highlights of the race in the early hours of Wednesday morning which I hope they will do all season. So even if I can't get to see the live action on YouTube I can see an hour long highlight package on TV.

Traditional Easter holiday race meeting at this track according to the commentators.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Thanks!

We used to have a live coverage through Astro Supersport since 2010 here in Malaysia but I really don't know for this year. I looked in the TV Programme and there's nothing related to FIA GT1 or GT3. I'd take it that we don't have a live coverage either here but thankfully the YouTube stream works flawlessly!

All times are local (I think).

Yes, those times are local (GMT+2).

GT1 and GT3 qualifying sessions are on GT1's Youtube channel, but are blocked for the US... Sucks, we follow them, we watch their PR crap but now we can't watch the sessions on Youtube??! Shame on you GT1!! [/rant]
