It's to prevent the manufacturer backed teams from getting too much of an advantage. I think it's a great idea.

Safety measure, because of the tight space. The Bentley didn't have to wait though, because they only changed the tires, huge mistake.

So 2nd and 3rd served 5 minute penalties, 4th place Audi was crashed into and lost 3? laps, and the 5th place Bentley has served 17 drive-thru penalties. Never give up is the moto here.
