It's in the SPX class anyway, the gt3 cars are SP9 ;)

I think the Ktm's will get a hard adjustment. They got a 1-2 in SP10 class with some minutes in front of P3 in the debut of the xbow gt4
The Lexus won by 30+ seconds but that's not out of the ordinary for vln races with the different strategies and fuel.

Hopefully no bop is hit to the Lexus. It did have the fastest lap, though. http://vln.de/ergebnisse/2016-10-08r.html

Edit- it had the second fastest lap.

Ah. What's interesting is the Lexus Vision GT car in Gran Turismo 6 is supposed to the "father" of this car/concept and it is much lighter and more powerful. Something like 1060kg and 620HP. If the real car is anything close to that than yea it's way faster than a standard GT3 class machine. Kind of like that Renault R.S. 01. A class of it's own.

The car is the one that was FIA homologated, the latest version of the RC F gt3. That means it's performance balanced with the other GT3's. It's not going to be given better performance than the SP9 cars (fia gt3's) as that's the top class. Also it's probably not as good (even with equal bop) as the sp9's since it's their first ever race with the car compared to the others with numerous races under their belt. The Farnbacher bros speak about that here http://sportscar365.com/gt/new-lexus-rc-f-gt3-wins-in-race-debut/

I'm starting to think it's a good investment to get the motortrend app so I can watch all the PWC races as they air. I hate waiting at least a week and they don't always show the Sprint X races

They air live on the PWC website.

There's a SprintX race on right this very second. 👍

Final results shakeup from the PWC GT race today due to the race winner picking up a penalty:

From PWC:

For Immediate Release

STEWARDS PENALIZE O’CONNELL FOR CONTACT IN
PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE GT SEASON FINALE

Parente Named Race Winner, O’Connell Now Fifth in Round 20

SALINAS, Calif. (Oct. 9, 2016) – Pirelli World Challenge race stewards have penalized initial GT winner Johnny O’Connell of Flowery Branch, Ga., for an on-track infraction on the final lap of Sunday’s Round 20 GT/GTA/GT Cup season finale in the Pirelli World Challenge Championships presented by Nissan at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

O’Connell, driving his No. 3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-V.R., was accessed a 2.1-second penalty due to “avoidable contact” in turn five with Porsche driver Patrick Long as the two drivers battled for the race lead on the 27th lap in the 50-minute sprint contest.

The penalty issued to O’Connell moves the four-time PWC GT champion to fifth in the final GT results and awards Alvaro Parente the race victory.

Parente, driver of the No. 9 K-PAX Racing McLaren 650S, clinched the GT driver’s point championship for his initial second place finish earlier in the afternoon. This win marks the Portugal driver’s sixth GT victory in 2016.

The final GT results now list Parente in first followed by Michael Cooper in the No. 8 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-V.R., Bryan Heitkotter in the No. 05 Always Evolving/Replay/Nissan GT Academy Nissan GTR, Long and O’Connell.

“The penalty was accessed to Johnny O’Connell for avoidable contact entering turn five on the final lap of today’s GT/GTA/GT Cup Round 20,” said Greg Gill, CEO and president of WC Vision, producers of the Pirelli World Challenge. “The stewards looked at various angles of the incident and determined that Johnny had two wheels off the track and came back onto the track, making contact with Patrick. This contact knocked Patrick off the track in turn five. And the penalty was determined this evening after hours of review.”

Monterey, CA – Revised results from Sunday, Oct 9, 2016 Pirelli World Challenge Championship GT-GTA Round 20, GT Cup Round 19 Race, part of the Pirelli World Challenge Grand Prix Presented by NISSAN at MRLS.

Depending on whether or not you consider the ADAC GT Masters to be a 'major' series, we may have just witnessed the end of an era.

The Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06.R is the last of the models that competed in the first ever GT3 race in 2006 to continue on in a major championship, and with the ADAC season over, it may well have seen the end of it's top-tier GT3 career.

Mark Skaife, Russell Ingall and Tony Longhurst to drive the second M6 for BMW Team SRM in the Bathurst 12hr.

Aww, no JPS styled livery...

Oh... and the Hampton Downs 101 will be broadcast on NZ TV3 and Foxtel.

Too bad Skaife didn't get a drive in the GT-R. Maybe next time.
