That being said, Aston moving to a Turbo-powered platform wouldn't be at all surprising considering Ferrari, Mercedes and BMW adopting the aspiration.

Yes, but like the Ginetta, it only has a national homologation. IE, they can only race it in the UK.
Last I heard, Chevron was close to an international homologation. At least closer than Ginetta.

It wasn't supposed to be Jaguar. Lotus is in deep trouble currently. Noble? Unlikely. Rolls? Morgan? Also unlikely. Bristol? No car to show. Vauxhall? Well... Ascari? Nothing for years. Lister? Same. Bentley, Aston and McLaren are already involved internationally.

Looks good for next year. Wish they'd allow DVS cars in the field. 5 ex-V8Supercars in the field would be sweet. The speed difference from Mal Rose's VY Commodore and the GT cars on the straights was cool.
