RC F GT3 at Super GT's Okayama test. Beast!

Well it is a GT car and this thread covers all GT cars no?
I believe this thread has historically been for cars entered in series where GT is the Primary class, if not the only one.

The BMW's would fall under the specific TUSC thread.

Team name is LM Corsa. Not sure what their historic colors are.

They used to run a BMW Z4 that was a silver/red/blue livery, but they were not sponsored by Petronas back then.

They're not that kind of kerb. They're aimed at discouraging people from running over the edge to get more speed but i don't see anyone getting air time off these as such.

More worryingly though it looks like if you did go over these you'd get loose coming over the brow which could be pretty dangerous.

That's a little bit worrying...all I can think of is cars going airborne if they hit those. :scared:

Spa 24h of trophy exotic cars anyone? I expect 3 life threatening injuries caused by that in the spa 24, that's a terrible idea to place them there,

What's your plan for it

Heading over for Thursday via the Tunnel, staying till the Monday. Booked with Travel Destinations, so I'm staying on one of their campsites. Booked with them for piece of mind since I've never been to Spa at all. As for the event itself, hopefully I'll have had the chance for full recon on the Thursday and Friday, to make the most of the weekend.

How much did they cost as they seem to have a habit of not advertising prices.

My plan is fly from Edinburgh to Brussels Friday afternoon then staying in a hotel at the far side of malmedy then flying back on Monday.

A bit more than I'd expected and more than advertised, prices are here. Most prices are on their website but things vary (depending on availability) and they're friendly enough so it's easy to give them a call. All up it was £400-odd inc Euro Tunnel, Tickets and Camping, should have been less but the tickets for the tunnel bumped it up. I also booked Le Mans at the same time, similar deal but much cheaper (<£250). As it's my first time at both, and I've got 16 events planned for this year, I felt more comfortable having someone else arrange it. I'm doing the N24 as well, but booking all that myself and I'm already very nervous of the camping arrangements.

That's not too bad spa for me is working out about the same £400 all in.

Le Mans about £580

Have a look at select motor racing that's who I use but I'm booking spa myself and going with a friend who lives in Belguim.

Well, I've still got to fork out for diesel, which is about £130 on top for each event. Once I've been once I'll be much happier just sorting it all out myself next time. Though if you have local knowledge available that's a great advantage.

Well once that Acura NSX GT3 comes to fruition...if ever that is.

Exactly. I've always felt Honda is like Sony and Toyota like Panasonic. Panasonic give you new technology and features RIGHT NOW. Just like Toyota bring us technology today. Honda just keep developing and developing. Little bits here and there they give us. Not fully exploiting their know-how, like Sony. They wait in phases. I can't wait for Honda any longer.

Panasonic aren't even doing business like they were. Innovation isn't seen, they've taken a step back from the electronics world, meanwhile Sony has given us great tech. From Blu-ray to the best digital cameras to waterproofing mobile phones to the playstation franchise. I think Sony is more like Toyota than Honda. Nissan otoh, has a tie up with Renault. Not something Japanese businesses are known for.

 I feel so 1998 right now.

Man, times have changed. I can remember Sony only providing 5.1 channels surround sound and Panasonic 7.1 for the same price. Sony tv's with one HDMI and Panasonic with 4 inputs.

In my opinion, that RC-F looks tough. We'll see if the NSX can look as good.
