Is it oversteering, or understeering?Really curious to hear @OdeFinn's thoughts on the Evora now since he was raving about the handling of the Evora earlier and posting up videos to prove that it's representation in GTS in V1.04 was so fantastically realistic
Considering who the info is coming from, I'd be inclined to believe them, since they are reputable sources. Not to disrespect anyone, but im going to have to call bull crap about the Evora driving like it just grips everywhere. The car still oversteer if you don't have smooth inputs. Its just smoother to drive vs the update before.

It should both unsettle the car and you should feel it through the wheel in some fashion. It's hard to feel connected or immersed in a game if things are happening on screen that you know should provide tactile feedback and they don't. That's especially true when you have dozens or hundreds of hours in other games that do provide that kind of feedback in a predictable way. Some would argue that in street cars with their softer suspension and less direct steering you might not feel feedback through the wheel in real life in such a case, but it's pretty much a sim standard these days, or at least an option in most games. In AC, for example, you have sliders that control how much of the different aspect of FFB you can feel so you can tune it to your individual preference.
A video will be available soon, and no you don't have to be smooth with it.Not to disrespect anyone, but im going to have to call bull crap about the Evora driving like it just grips everywhere. As you have every right to, me myself I love racing games I love this forum and have respect for the members within the community. I have no reason to lie or make up anything people saying the Evora is like glue or you HAVE to get wild for it to oversteer is not true. Yes the car is easier and smoother to drive then the other update but if you are not smooth the car will get loose on you. Also all these cars or BOP none of them are in their stock form. The Evora is slower and weights more with the BOP you dont think it's going to changethe car characteristics any? Every other game I have you can drive the car in the true stock form.Is it oversteering, or understeering?

Yeah, a lot of us do as well.As you have every right to, me myself I love racing games I love this forum and have respect for the members within the community.
Oh wait, what happened to that love and respect for the community? Now they're making up lies? Well in that case, I mean if you're going to call people a liar, I'm sure you can provide evidence to support your claim rather than just outright going about it like that. I for one will take @Scaff s input into consideration, considering all the info he provides as well as videos to back up his claims.I have no reason to lie or make up anything people saying the Evora is like glue or you HAVE to get wild for it to oversteer is not true.
Besides The alignment when they had Arcade mode the cars on the Comfort tires felt great man, I was driving on Comfort medium. Also the tire grip has been increased with the update.Stock form in GT is just bad, PD made these cars to be friendly to casual in a not so ideal way.
In general I think the force feedback it's an improvement since the update,
BUT when you RIDE ON A CURB THERE IS NO FEEDBACK.
For example at the last chicane on Dragon Tail, if you ride on the curb, (and those curbs look pretty tall and thick), nothing happens, smooth as you are driving on the tarmac. This is a major problem, nothing realistic about it, you should have courage to drive on those curbs, they should unsettle completely the car... but nothing.
What are your thoughts?

Wait a minute whats your deal? This is the second time you came at me crazy with your made up crap... please tell me where I called anyone a liar... please. You said that you respect Scaff opinion on the matter... shoot I respect his opinion.. I said I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE going off the fact you said I am less creditable which is cool. I was just saying I have no reason to lie and giving feedback on what I am experiencing.Yeah, a lot of us do as well.

So? just calling out a contradiction.Wait a minute whats your deal? This is the second time you came at me crazy with your made up crap...
You didn't specifically call out anyone as a liar, you implied that because they said something about the Evora, that they made up lies. Here you go:please tell me where I called anyone a liar... please
You even used the specific example that is being talked about from said members, implying those that used that example are making up lies. If that's not what you meant, you seemed to word it that way. Maybe it was the punctuation.I have no reason to lie or make up anything people saying the Evora is like glue or you HAVE to get wild for it to oversteer is not true
Again the lie part came from you discrediting my opinion on the matter which is cool with me, as I said I read majority of scaff post whether its GT FM PC or AC and learn a lot. Scaff is crazy knowledgeable I just don't agree with the Evora being crazy easy to drive or sticking like glue. It still feels more lively the AC Evora S to me. Again I never called anyone a liar that part was to you because what you said to me. I am waiting for scaff video to see what he means. So? just calling out a contradiction.

Don't put words in my mouth. I said I take @Scaff input into consideration because of how detailed he is when talking about it and the evidence he provides. No where did I say you weren't credible, more so that I just would believe him in this matter.Again the lie part came from you discrediting my opinion on the matter which is cool with me, as I said I read majority of scaff post whether its GT FM PC or AC and learn a lot.
When you said reputable source I took that as I was not reputable, which too keep it 100 I am not mad at that I know what Scaff does for the community. I was just saying I have no reason to lie to you and felt the Evora can still get wacky with bad inputs all my opinion. Im just waiting for the video to see maybe its my driving.Considering who the info is coming from, I'd be inclined to believe them, since they are reputable sources.
It's still a challenge to drive. Understeer, oversteer, off-throttle oversteer can be felt in its character. Calling ver. 1.05 an arcade mode is an overstatement. But something is holding it back. Maybe there is a hidden driving aid on all the time, at least the tcs light blips during gear changes. Not to disrespect anyone, but im going to have to call bull crap about the Evora driving like it just grips everywhere. Yea I feel you. For the tcs sign It lights up white is that the new clutch engaged Icon? If you drive with TCS on it lights up red when TCS is engaged, but when shifting it's white. It's still a challenge to drive. We are in a middle of a beta test chosen ones, so report those negative driving feelings.
You could make the same description about DriveClub or Grid Autosport and no one would say they are better than arcade or simcade respectively. It's still a challenge to drive. I agree with you man especially on the smoothness of the track it's kinda ridiculous and the driving would be extremely better. I also agree with you about the tire grip it seems a lot better and the MR cars handle a lot better in my opinion.I dont get how everyone dislike the 1.05 physics changes. To me the tire physics seem more real and the feel in general is better than before. I really really enjoy the feel of GT Sport how it is at the moment.
The only thing that should be improved is the FFB (so that you feel more from bumps on the tarmac, at the moment it seems to me that about only 50 % of the uneven bits are brought to the G29) and the surface of the fantasy tracks which are to smooth (to me at least, i would want every track to be as bumpy as the nürburgring ).
Now the arcade handling doesn't bother me in general but the lack of feedback from the car through the controller does. I still can't "feel" when over or understeer kicks in, nor how to dose the brakes. It has a very dull and numb feel. Hasn't changed since the update.
I would agree that GTS is better optimised for a controller than either Pcars or AC, however the same can be said for Driveclub.Im playing with a DS4 for now until I order a wheel. GTS feels the most natural to me with a controller compared to AC and Pcars, but with all these games playing on the controller is not ideal. The feed back will never feel natural to me as with a wheel. @PJTierney what game feels best for you with a controller?
