Qualifying seemed to work ok.

I am not sure though if it is too much to do quick races and then do the 2 long races. Your thoughts please guys?

Maybe just spend time with practise, quali and race at the 2 events with a break in between. Following that we can have Blue Moon or Karts etc. for our fun/mayhem races?

I would prefer events in the first 2 hours and qualifications for all races. I thought there was also qualification to interlagos and I put the soft ones :boggled::D

Sorry Cal, was only five of us so I just pulled the trigger

I am thinking of doing the events at the beginning.

We are going to do one more test season then crack on properly. I am on holiday in a few weeks so we will start the first season after I return.

I am also thinking of putting extra weight in cars. This I am going to test in our next testing season which will start next week. Not sure how I am going to do this yet or how it will work. I am looking for all the guys to have a chance of winning. Obviously you are going to be, along with Reda, the first to get some weight added unless of course you do not win on the opening round ;) For anyone always at the rear I will take weight out.

I happen to be watching a episode of Leno’s garage featuring this hand made Lamborghini motorcycle .Recognized it immediately from Sebring a couple of months ago .Apparently the builder is Chuck Beck ,he was one of the fabricators for Carroll Shelby .Too Cool

Well done to Luiz who topped the charts on our first test season. :gtpflag:

Only three of us competed in all events. Luiz, Scott and myself.

Below are the finishing positions worked out on average points per race for everyone, which takes into account the number of races entered. As you can see there are two standouts for extra weight and two for reduced weight.

1. Reda.......50 points
2. Cal...…...47.5
3. Claude....36.2
4. Luiz...…..35.7
5. Cory...….35.6
6. Steve......32.8
7. Scott......27.2
8. John...….27.1
9. Gerard....21.2
10. Nath.....17.7

For our next test season, starting this coming Sunday, I am going to add weight to Reda and Cal and reduce it for Gerard and Nath to see how things work out. I will work out by Sunday the amount of weight to adjust. Maybe you could help me here Reda? I am thinking of maybe plus 20/30 kg for the top 2 and minus15/25 for the bottom 2?

I am going to try and post, today or tomorrow, the complete schedule for the next test season. This will consist of 9 races in total over 5 weeks. 2 x 30 min races for 4 weeks and a 45 min final race. There will be a mid season break at the beginning of July as I am on holiday. Maybe you could open the room on those weekends Luiz and I could open for you when you need time off?

Geezer Racing Club Sunday Meeting

Week 1 Test Season 2

Good morning Gents. Room will be open from 08.00 US ET, 13.00 UK. Qualifying for 1st Race at Alsace Reverse will start at 09.05 US ET/14.05 UK.

Room will be setup initially for practise. 30 min at Yamagiwa with the GR2 Lexus and then for 30 min at Alsace Reverse with the Lambo. If anyone wants a 3/4 lap race we can do that towards the end of each 30 min session.

We are experimenting today with weight adjustments. These will also apply for practise and qualifying. We can see how it goes in the first race and decide whether to keep or alter the weights for the second race.

Race 1
GR4 Lambo Huracan at Alsace reverse for 14 laps.
Weight adjustments:
Cal and Reda..104% 1419
Nath and Gerard..97% 1324

Race 2
GR2 Lexus Petronas Tom's SC430 at Yamagiwa for 19 laps.
Weight adjustments:
Cal and Reda..105% 1155
Nath and Gerard..96% 1056

Both races, including practise and qualifying, will be set with tyre wear at 28, BoP off, no fuel usage, no boost, no tuning, tyre choice of RS RM RH. 100% power and 100% weight except for the weight adjusted drivers as detailed above.

Please stay in your cars once qualifying starts until it ends and I have the numbers. Anyone who joins the room after qualifying or does not have a time on the board will have to start at the rear of grid.

Lobby to decide on racing after the two main events.

Thanks Steve for the racing. It is different. While I applaud you for trying something different, it’s just not my thing. Too much down time for me. I like to race. So I will set out next Sunday. Thanks again

No prob Scott. 👍

I like to try to race as we would in the real world. Which is one reason I am not a fan of boost etc. I think I could have sped things up a little this week and will have a look at that. Maybe also there was too much practise and we could have moved quicker to qualify, and maybe qualifying was also too long. Maybe this could work with 10 minutes? Any thoughts appreciated chaps.
