And being on par with other games like Driveclub or Forza Horizon. The constant framerate issue was implicit. They can't simply bring back the weather conditions of GT6, the raindrops and the lack of reflections were bad even for the PS3.
Again I am pretty sure they can bring it back but it will require en engine overhaul, since GT6 had used astronimical time transition and dymamic weather (both feature in which Kaz himself said will not be present in the game).
Thus means that we wont get to see the rendering and lighting engine which is currently being used.

I think the setback is mainly because of performance, special effects like raindrops and water surface reflection will surely be the case, in which downgrading the graphical quality is not what they have in mind either.

Checking the gamestop.com best sellers list it appears GT Sport is the best selling racing game on PS4 this holiday. Its on sale for $19.99, Gran Turismo still has legs. This game will sell unti the next game.

I don't think GT can be the behemoth it once was, open world is all everyone likes nowadays and open world racing games have a massive advantage compared to circuit racers.
This is not true. Xbox heavily bundle those Forza games. Their true sales would be alot lower. GT Sport is real king of racing sales this gen as far as im concerned.

So? GTS heavily discounted its game fairly often. They've both made attempts to get more sales, so I don't think that's a reason to try to exclude one any more than the other

GT Sport was in bargain bins just as fast as GT6 was, even ignoring the fact that in some countries it wasn't a full priced game from the start.

Forza is also heavily discounted. I only saw Horizon 4 for full price before launch as a preorder. And if I may be honest that franchise only gets recognition by riding GT's coatales. It would be only about as popular as Pcars and others if it were not for that xbox exclusive badge of honor because hey it has to be better the any exclusive racer on PlayStation am I right?

Forza 7 was not heavily discounted, at least not even reomtely close to the amount of times as GTS. Not only that but it’s held onto it’s full price for a much much longer time and it’s still had for double the price of GTS. Forza horizon 4 is still full price, and that it was likely only on sale, GTS price was dropped permanently rather quickly.

Whether you’re honest or not, all that is irrelevant to the discussion. So again, so what? Just because you like one game doesn’t really change the actual facts here.

GTSport was released around black Fridays sales that's why it had a lot discounted price, Forza 7 was also discounted during that time. GTSport price got back to normal after holidays sales not until August and September of 2018 major price cut.

Here is Forza price charting in comparison.

I used the gamevaluenow app on google store. It's the best i could find I doubt it's 100% accurate but it gives us rough estimate of price chart.

Ok? Thanks for a bunch of irrelevant numbers I guess.

Real sales numbers that proves that GTS has sold very well (and a lot more than FM7) → irrelevant numbers.... LOL

Just because you like one game doesn’t really change the actual facts here.
Ok. So you're pointing out something literally no one said, in a discussion that has nothing to do with any what you posted? Gotcha.

I like both games, you're the only one that chose to marry one game. So you can stop pretending for once since no one was arguing against "those facts." Might want to actually take a step back and try reading for once.

sorry if I've posted some real sales numbers, better hide them and continue to imagine that GTS is a flop and FM7 a huge success

Don’t be sorry. Just try actually reading next time, instead of posting about things no one even mentioned at all in the first place.

The actual facts, in this case, being some unsourced comparative sales data from a one week period in November, in the UK...?

I mean, I don't really care about this argument - PS4 has about 3X the install base of the Xbox One, so trying to do some apples-to-apples sales comparison is the epitome of pointless, and I'm pretty sure the debate was between GT Sport and Forza Horizon 3 anyway - but let's not get too grand with our proclamations based on a one week vertical slice of data.

It wasn’t even a comparison in the way he’s going on about it. Literally no one mentioned either game flopping or either game doing good in comparison to each other so it’s just dumb to even pretend it was even remotely that. He’s so obsessed with constantly showing Forza in a negative light, even when absolutely no one is mentioning anything of the sort. You’d think being banned for constantly doing this before, that someone would have actually learned by now.

There's nothing to learn when one so obviously has an axe to grind and are intent on carrying the torch of internet forum fights circa 2007.

That chart posted by yourself is only for UK, the one posted by Emula comprehends all EMEAA region so by adding all the countries turn out that GT has sold more.
Not bad for a game that is one year older than fh4
If people didn’t know EMEAA stands for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. They track both physical and digital sales. They don’t have 100% coverage (UK physical will be added soon and some publishers don’t release digital data) but they still cover dozens of countries and regions.

GT Sport has been ever present on this chart since launch. Also, according to Kudosprime GT Sport added 600K accounts over November and December. From the data we have Kudosprime doesn’t cover 100% of GT Sport players (6.2m vs 7.2m ‘official’ My PS4 Life data), but it’s still useful in like for like comparisons. The figures are quite impressive as the title is not bundled as much being over one year old.

Why was there no link ? Mine had a link . I know what emeaa stands for but when i looked it said the info has not been released yet.

It is clear that in uk as of week 52 2018 gts was not in top 20 let alone top 40

In the UK FH4 is the main XB bundle. While that remains the case it will continue to hover around the top 10-20. It’s the same reason PCars 2 appeared in the top 40 over Christmas as it was bundled by retailers. Also the reason FH3 was a chart ever present for about 2 years.

It’s very different in the rest of Europe where XB has a relatively tiny marketshare. Meanwhile the likes of PlayStation Spain continue to push GT Sport officially. In Europe as a whole driving games are always popular. And for PS4 owners GT Sport is the obvious option.

Looking at the UK data, Forza has been in the top 20(mostly top 10) from the end of the year all the way back to week of 9/29, even before the official release date of the game on October 2nd.

GTS hasn't been in the top 40 since the week of Sept 15th and then once more again in the week of July 23rd(before this is jumped on, I only went back 6 months because it was taking way too long.) Oddly enough, not anything for the holidays or the week of Black Friday but thats to be expected with a game that came out at the end of the year, and one that came out a full year prior.

That they're both on the same chart is great news for both, to be honest. Either way, it shows the strength of both, in my opinion. One, for GTS being still relevant on the charts a year later even with it's large price cuts(considering both sale cuts as well as permanent), and two, Forza charting in a part of the world that is dominated by Playstations as it's literally the only Xbox Exclusive on that list.
