So, that video only confirms that the anti lag sound is a bit over the top in Dirt Rally and doesn't happen that frequently in real life.
Wait, that video only confirms something about anti lag? You can't hear the amazing and accurate sounds? You must really hate GT then if that's all that video confirms.

Far too much HUD going on there, i wonder how much you can remove.
DiRT Rally is the best overall racing sim this generation full stop.

Probably an opinion.
I love Dirt Rally and i recommend it to everyone, but i think calling it the best overall should be challenged when you consider how that task is easier to do than a circuit racing game. DR has regurgitated tracks, low content, the accuracy of a course cannot be scrutinized as one could be in Pcars\Ac\GTS etc. If a circuit racing game came out with regurgitated tracks i.e mixed mashed, few cars, AI opponents on track only in a few races, i think we wouldn't call that game complete but it could be very polished but it would receive no praise.

P.S i dont have SLR so I'd be interested to know why that with It's far better content isn't considered more complete or a better overall than DR.

Why this game still has 2d trees, and black walls behind trees, also i see that reflections are like "jumping" depending on how far is car.

All racing games have 2d trees nowadays
Maybe you have a game that doesnt but you must be from future

Just found a gameplay video of the 458 GT3 at the Nordschleife.

It's probably been discussed ad nauseum on here already but I had to turn it off pretty quickly because it annoyed me so immensely.

The sounds are ****ing horrible still. I thought they were supposed to be capturing sound in a better way now? Why does it still sound like it's being fed through a synthesiser and then a vacuum cleaner after all these bloody years. The tyre screeching doesn't sound any different to what we already have either.

The handling is obviously something that you feel when you're playing it but it looked no different to GT5/6.

****s sake, that's just drained any lingering enthusiasm I had for this.

I've no idea what build it is but knowing PD it won't be any bloody different when it finally gets released. Kaz and pals can kindly **** off and retire now.

This video is old. Like, 7 months old.

The sounds have progressed quite a lot since then.

What a sensible and reasonable thing to say.

If it wasn't such a massive shock that it wasn't a shock at all hearing how bad the Subaru sounded then it would've been a little more reserved but because it was so obviously going to sound exactly like it did, in true GT style rather than in any way like a car, then it elicited a more blunt response.

Is there a video of the 458 sounding 100% different to that?

We haven't seen a video of the 458 on a newer build yet.

Stuff like the AMG GT S have been shown on recent builds, and the cars sound nothing like GT6 or vacuums or whatever.

May not be as good as some of the best sounds in the racing genre right now (Dirt Rally, RaceRoom, arguably DC), but it's a significant improvement.

show me 2d treee or black wall here

So your biggest complain are 2d trees?! Gtsport is a work in progress and there are not 20 cars in a rally stage. I don't say there will be only 3d trees in Gtsport but hillclimb will have better trees for sure. Goodwood was the only track in GT6 with not so bad vegetation.

I play a lot Forza 6 today, and I notice so many trade offs like 30 fps mirror in cockpit view, 30 fps reflections on cars, or trees in X at the Nurb. But it's a solid 60 fps game with 24 cars on track and such a good game.

This one perhaps?

You're right, it is a significant improvement, but a significant improvement from absolutely nothing still doesn't equal much.

It still doesn't sound like a car, let alone an AMG GT S. They'd be better off doing some particularly shady **** and stealing the sounds from the code of Driveclub/NFS/Assetto Corsa/etc than carrying on the way they have been doing for years. This isn't even a software/hardware issue, it's a philosophy and mentality issue ingrained in the employees of PD directing how the games are coming out. They're forging their own path compared to other games and whilst it worked for the first couple of games, it's just plain wrong now.

And that's before you get into the other issues in this video like the sound whenever you collide with another car (what the hell is that supposed to be?), the tyre screeching noises (still sounds exactly like it did in GT3 to me) and the fact that the AI looks beyond woeful.

It's adding up to be a shinier GT6 with less content and it just isn't surprising that that's the case.

I would agree with that the sound of the GT S isn't accurate, but I personally think saying that it doesn't sound like a car is an exaggeration. I'm comparing the sound of the AMG GT S in that video right now to actual sounds of a real GT S and in terms of engine sounds, it's not bad. Honestly, I just think it needs imperfections from the revs and less delayed shifts, then it'll be fine.

Edit: the title fooled me...it's Project Cars ...so sorry guys. Let's keep on dreaming.

Anyone still complaining about the sounds after hearing this build of GT Sport [EDIT: Project Cars] are from the future.

They finally fixed it. Don't take my word for it.[EDIT: They didn't fix sh**]
