Participating in the 24h of nurburgring counts as working on GT7... right?

Ya it pretty much is though, rather see him there than at some bowling championship.. :P I think they were actually pulling information from the GT-R's during the races to better understand certain things. These finding are coming to GT7.. soon, I think.. I hope 👍

The thing is...

If Kaz races as part of his research for GT...

...he must realise that the racing presented in game is not even in the same universe as racing the real Nürburgring 24 hours race!
💡

That, I would argue, is the most glaringly obvious flaw in a game developed by someone who races in real life - the idea that he doesn't know how a real race works...

Edit: who was it who said they inexplicably read @Zlork's posts in a German accent, even though he's actually French?

I've just noticed he has a Vettel avatar, which might explain it.

...:D

You looking for me?

I dunno, maybe it's got something to do with Vettel's mug. Who knows.

True, it's definitely not there yet. But I don't think when they started building the game back in 2006 their full intention was to go for the all out replication of racing events and weekends. More the traditional enthusiast game built on the success of previous GT's, although I think it can be viewed as awefully close to being able a full out simulator. Kaz didn't participate at N24 until GT5, so even IF that was life changing moment for him in terms of understanding what racing is all about (highly doubt it since he's already dedicated his entire life to cars), the real reason to move into full simulation is because of the sudden competition in racing games, and the fact they have an obligation to fill with all the industry partnerships plus the Nissan GT Academy..

Because GT6 didn't improve much, I still think there must have been a lot of attempts to redesign parts of the game but the underlying code was just too impossible to change without making a mess of it. PD likely had giant headaches trying to make even small changes and running into major bugs and crashes over the years... resulting in... nothing revelutionary.. of course there's a crowed out there who think it's because PD is just a lame outfit that just doesn't put any effort into trying to make the 'obvious' changes to make it more in line with the real world.

After the monumental task of sound generation and rebuiling the physics engine and values of each vehicle, hopefully the rest of the game was built with all aspects of real racing events in mind. Kaz and Co. know EXACTLY about all the whats and hows of real world motor racing.

Well... you know what they say.... no brakes on the hype train. Since the hype has started already, it might as well go on until GT on PS4 actually emerges, by which point, the hype train will need no track.... it will just topple sideways and ROFL uncontrollably until the universe implodes.

I have a reliable gut and it says before the year end there will be something substantial.

Trailer, release date or along those lines. I genuinely believe with the recent history of difficult development and long waits for promised features, PDI want to give a bit back to the fans.

Does that make me "beyond saving"? Probably!

Some people try to feel smart and say we're too hyped. Imo, we had our posts where we were pretty hyped, but we're not bats**t crazy hyped. We're calm and excited now. Haha
Agreed. I think one meme is enough for me.... :) I've become more hyped following the events of this thread, but not hyped to the point where everything I think is totally unrealistic.

I may have booked my ticket for the hype train.... doesn't mean to say I've boarded it yet ;)

So, according to Verendus on Neogaf, their ready to show GT7 but its up to Shuhei Yoshida on when that happens? He said he would love to see it as Paris Games Week and would hope to see Sony Bend studio and their rumored 1st party open world survival horror game at Playstation Experience.
If thats true, it means when GT7 is revealed depending on the order Shu wants it to be revealed.
Well, heres to hoping GT7 is revealed at PGW because of GT7s popularity in Europe.

Has he given information before?

He has proven to be reliable in the past.
Still, take it with a pinch of salt. Heres what he said :

Throw in one or two smaller titles at PGW and PSX, and it's a strong
way to close off the year in terms of announcements. Third party
titles, and partnerships can carry the rest easily. For selfish
reasons, I'd want GT at PSX instead, but that's besides the point

There's a hundred people on GTP who make the exact same posts. "If I was Kaz I'd do this"...etc. Unless we see a few examples of this supposed prognostication, it's just another guy on the net guessing like the rest of us.

Except, speculation on Neogaf when you claim to an insider results in a ban. He has been right many times in the past, thats why he isnt banned there. That doesnt make it speculation, it means he is prepared to stick his neck out and say it.

It's speculation. Speculating doesn't get you banned, giving wrong information as factual information when proclaiming it to be inside info gets you banned.

Cool. So then you should be able to provide some links to some of his best prognostications.
