To me, I can't express how I feel about how the games look until I watch or play the game with my own eyes.

In a sense kind of like getting a feel for physics in a racing game. You can't really have an accurate say on it unless you play it.

No I am not kidding, at all.
Fanboy? Explain. I play all titles and I just give my honest opinion. Why would I take PD's side if I think they're doing a pretty bad job with collisions since...forever, for example?
Come on.
Well i'm sorry i called you a fanboy. It's just that the way you said it makes you look like one, i mean does this looks seriously underwhelming to you?

Can make or break the game to some. "Underwhelming" can be defined through many aspects.

The 3rd person camera can do this for some people. Or the lighting. Who knows?

Perhaps this could answer your question?

Mind the horrible driving at the beginning (it it just the AI).

Yes, I've seen that. But, I've been around the franchise as a loyal consumer long enough to know there may always be a hidden detail to T10's pre-release comments.

I'm not letting myself build hype for dynamic weather in the event there's a catch to how it works out in the game.

Well i think Forza 7 looked nice but stilli think that GTS has better car moddels and details...... i see still those strange 2d rims in forza when they rotate for example........ for me for now iam not ditching GTS YET....... for me it al depands on release date i think.....

I cant not way much longer anymore for GT and Project Cars etc i dont like. GT or Forza thats what i want. But maybe they blow my mind tomorrow and i can accept a bit longer wait ;)

I only watched GTS gameplay on youtube and I haven't notice any stuttering nor seen people complaining I was wrong about that one, my bad.
I can confirm that GTS doesn't currently manage a locked 60fps even on a PS4 pro.

It's not as bad as it was back in GT 5 or 6, but it does drop.

You're doing it wrong. You're only supposed to use Forza 7 videos or pictures that are dark and rainy or in the shadows, put it side by side with bright, sunlit images from GTS and then complain about the lighting.

It isn't dark at this point in the video, it's dusk or so it seems. There is also a lot of water spray. The lights don't look out of place in those conditions.

Still no light illumination on the ground, and these are race cars, they tend to have very bright lights

The other thing that bothered me was the lighting inside, it looks flat, almost cel shaded

I wish I could find it, but I believe Ian Bell, or one of the testers, commented on GT & Forza's headlights and how they're...2 dimensional? Wrong word, but something along the lines of how they don't illuminate everything as they should. He said it was something the cars in PCars 2 do properly.

They aren't illuminating anything at all, because they are not active light sources in both games.
Both demonstrated them being active though, so it's a wait and see situation.

Yes there is.
Nope... The headlights in GT Sport beta don't iluminate the tarmac, tracksides or reflect in the other cars..

In the final version i don't know.
But for sure that the headlights don't iluminate nothing in the beta as that comercial screenshot above.

We only have skidmarks since beta version 1.06 BTW... :banghead:

I'm not talking about GTSport. The point was made in reference to the Forza 7 video and it clearly shows that the lights are reflecting off of the wet tarmac. I even included pictures to show it, which, apparently, some people are having trouble seeing.

Just 2 of the many cars in the scene, and very weak and not accurate reflections at that, at least based on real life

Sorry mate! Just misread your post.
Yes,headlights on forza are reflecting.
Maybe can be better seen on a screen with HDR:D

I hope to see in the E3 build of GT Sport damage, rain and full working headlights in gameplay (no comercial trailer that we all know that has better graphics than gameplay) and that famous realese window

Hope also to see the project C.A.R.S 2 running on a standard PS4 in this E3 with the realese date nearby.
This one has also full working headlights BTW:D

The others may not be able to be seen because of the spray but only a more lengthy gameplay video will reveal whether all the cars do it or not. I can't see it only happening with some cars and not others, you'd have to go out of your way through the code to make that happen. Also, the amount of brightness and dispersion from the reflection is partly dependent on the surface it's reflecting off, the angle of reflection, particulate in the air, time of day and other factors. As you can see from the following, headlight reflections aren't always bright and glaring.

No. Forza gameplay only show reflection maps of what's rendered and that shows there's no cast light. At the end of the video the car gets close to the Ferrari and it's clear it's not functional.
But the pictures they released have them.

I wonder if it's just the build. Seems odd to remove something that was in the game prior.

Lol, you trolling and it's transparent. To be a smart troll however you have to atleast have a full grasp of the language you are communicating in.
