GT Sport vs Other Games: Comparison Video Thread

Ignoring the actual graphical quality of the games compared, GT Sport still stands out with its dull track atmosphere, which, although is improving, I think can still use improvement. Still, knowing that there won't be anything such as "standard cars" in the game, by name or by concept, is already a massive step forward, and reminds me of the quality that we got in GT5P.

I didn't realize that having a discussion = triggered.
Of course it does. Don't forget that having criticism makes you a toxic member of the community.

i was talking more about the mates on YouTube and even on here from time to time(rarely) who seem to be generally upset and destroyed by the fact that some trees in this game aren't 3D. Some of the comments that I have seen boil down to people turning nit-picks into major problems. In this case, some people overreacting to 2D trees that, for the most part, look pretty good in my eyes. It just baffles me, every time....

I wonder if it's just the build. Seems odd to remove something that was in the game prior.

Most definitely just the build. These show floors are just stable builds for presentation/test, they aren't up to date to development.
Given that they've shown pictures of cars in the pit lane with functional lights, it stands to reason they have it working.

Actually, there still are cars in GT Sport without interiors. But they're all VGTs that never had interiors for PD to model in the first place. Hopefully they're in talks with car manufacturers to fix this issue.

As for toxicity, one becomes a toxic member of the community when they bring the criticism of the criticism threads into other threads of different topics (such as news threads being flooded with off-topic criticism, this happens 100% more than it should.)

Then you should report it because dragging threads off topic is usually frowned upon by the mods in my experience.

I can accept that. As long as they don't look wack on the outside like the infamous Alto Works "standard car."

Besides, I don't really care about VGTs so I'll just pretend they're fine the way the are.

Since there is not enough footage of the new E3 build I will make a comparison how GTS sounds like vs GT6 and Real life.
GT6

GTSport

Real Life (different angle)

Note: the time of day shown in videos are all different. This videos purpose is just for comparison.

In this vid at 9:00 ISRTV talk about how the only games that comes close to looking as good on the PS4 as PCars2 is GTS. Which means PCars2 must look very good on PS4.

I'm sitting here thinking to myself "since when were trees more important than actually driving cars in a RACING SIM?" Especially one that is centered around eSports? I guess GT Sport is so boring, looks is the only thing that matters. Oh well... :sly:

Toko out.

Wrong thread Toko!

I see a post of a member of gtplanet posted an image of the problems of light source for the lights of forza 7 but I do not find it anymore .. if it could do again it would be nice thx ;)

Yes. Let's compare lights on 50 year old cars at high noon at about a 75 degree angle vs. driving under a covered highway in a modern car in semi-darkness at about a 15 degree angle.:lol::lol:

well I am a little confused because you could be right. Just the story is not a history of car age nor time of day nor angle of view ..
(At the limit the viewing angle can make appear that the light source bug and is emitted from the front of the lighthouse ..)
In fact in forza all the cars no matter how their characteristics have the same lighting system .. in daylight, dusk, etc.
Apart from the color that changes (yellow) I do not see any difference .. :odd:
Correct me again if I'm wrong..;)

In my view GT Sport clearly looks the most phtorealistic one and Forza yet again manages to have unrealistic special fx movie-like graphics.
I much prefer realistic real life-like graphics for a type of game that is about realism.
Leave fantasy graphics for fantasy games.

When one makes a comparison like this, we can see nicely the biggest differences between two. I think cars' color and brightness should be toned down, especially the white Viper pops out of the picture. Overal lighting looks super realistic though

Maybe it is because those are two different weather conditions. Sunny vs. cloudy.
But you're right, GTS lighting is fantastic. But best, like in the previous parts, with a bit of weather (clouds, mist.....) and not midday with bright sunlight. Can't wait for some photo shooting.
