M8, that looks like real life(maybe even better than GT Sport).
And is the Lamborghini Centenario's infotainment screen that funky lookin?

It looks like the textures on FM's models are too exaggerated, if that's the right term. It could be a shading problem.

Yes, Forza 7 looks really really great. As far as accuracy of re-creating textures, the areas on the dash/steering wheel look like hard plastic rather than alcantara leather. Also, the infotainment/dashboard looks really bright and clear despite the brightness of the sun. Those are the only two things I can take away from FM.

Luckily Turn 10 appear to be on the case if this report is accurate:

Nice:tup: I can't wait to compare ForzaVista to the Scapes.

Bearing in mind the difference between their and PD's approaches to audio ("brash" vs "understated") I suspect the exaggerated textures might be a stylistic choice on T10's part.
Heh, you caught my ninja edit.

I think you might be onto something there. There are qualities of both the GT model and FM model that I would like to blend together. I find GT models to be a bit bland at times in terms of colour and textures, while FM's are a bit too exaggerated. Again, it could be a shading issue.

More great photos:tup: Keep up the good work:cheers: With these games available on so many platforms and even variations within the platforms like photomodes, scapes, console variants etc., it's probably a good idea to also include the source of the photo when you post it.

Someone should try with forza motorsport 5, it had better material looking than forza 6, especially in autovista.

I think people are more concerned about the upcoming games than those released a few years ago.

The M4 in FM6 looks good until the other two show up. AC shows textures very well and the shadows are crisp - no jaggies there. The only bad thing I can say about AC is the seats and door panel look a bit rough. Again though, GT is on another level everywhere when looking at any specific area.

It nails the white trim pieces on the steering wheel, dashboard and center console. The A/C knobs have a sheen around the outer rim. The AC screen even appears to have a display that's being naturally dimmed out by the lighting. Even the reflection on the BMW logo on the steering wheel looks spot on. The only thing on GT that I found unattractive is the stitching by the wheel:

In terms of graphics, GT is knocking on the door of that "p" word that is so controversial.

Perfection

What is that even? Doesn't seem to be on the real thing.
The real one has gray trim there, matching the seats. GTS is black trim/seats. The stitching looks odd though.

Edit, GTS doesn't show the stitching in the dash, left of the steering, and it's overly shiny.

Haven't heard that news; thanks!

I wonder if "usual array of homespaces" means... 2... again. Kind of bummed they didn't flesh FM6's out where as FM5 had the garage, the mountain road, and the TG track, iirc.

Weirdly, some cars in the beta are more prone to visual damage than others (The GR.4 GTR is the best) and I think car on car contact causes more visual damage than car to guard rail.

It's so cool to see how in PCars the collisions actually have a serious impact to the driver. Would love to see that in GT (don't have high hopes tho). The closest we had in GT was heavy mechanical damage but not as bad as losing wheels or bumpers, wings.

Another one from MotoGamesTV. This time mechanical damage comparison.

GT needs more visual damage. With the way the cars slam into a wall without a scratch as a result, it makes it seem as if they're made of tungsten and diamond. The sounds of an impact and damage are their but there just isn't any visual indication of this damage. PD need to at the very least have SOME sort of visual damage when you crash into a wall at a reasonable speed. The damage they do show looks great but it takes too much to reach that point(broken lights, scratched paint etc).

New comparison I just uploaded! - Enjoy :)

That´s just sad... i love GT to death, but they really are just making the same game only prettier. I´ve read dozens of articles about in game sounds, and yet that Corvette sounds like garbage compared to the real one.

At least the graphics are absolutely marvelous, it feels like you´re in Willow Springs.

Still buying it, but just thinking out loud how much left behind GT seems compared to the competition.

The sound in that video on GTS is strangely very muffled, in other videos i found it stronger and more gritty.

However I agree that it is one of the cars that sounds worse at the moment and that it would need an audio update.

PS: PC sound for me is too unrealistic because it seems to drive a missile more than a car ....

The difference in damage is as striking as the difference in sound between GTS and both Forza and PCars2.
I remember trying to finish a lap of Milan on three wheels and a rim in Race Driver: GRiD back in 2008. Its spectacular damage model was nothing compared to the soft-body physics of BeamNG.drive though. I'm not sure whether this is what sim developers should be aiming for on all games but it'd certainly make races a lot more exciting in single-player mode.

I get the feeling online races would be a troll's paradise though.

I think it looks dumb and ugly, thankfully PCARS2 seems to have toned it down.
A big fat "Wat?" to both points.

It looks pretty goddamn awesome to me and I love stripped down some cars to nothing but engine and chassis.

If it's gone I'll be pretty disappointed.

Too bad these current consoles have a very weak CPU and probably can't handle those soft-body physics from BeamNG. Hopefully next gen we can get something close to that.
