I prefer GT Sport sound, by far. More realistic, more pleasant.

What a surprise!

But i discussed with scaff that its just the FFB that lacked in the beta and not the track surface itself.

Edit: one of the german guys who played the frankfurt version said how he could feel every bump at the nordschleife. He didnt seem like a sim racer so it could mean nothing but it could also mean progress in the FFB department!

I hope so as it was sadly lacking in the beta. However, I don't see them having radically changed the physics engine since the beta.

They both have the general tone pretty spot-on. GT's sounds a little closer to the real-life video used for a comparison, but given the sound quality of that one, I wouldn't necessarily say that's a positive. Sounds tinny, and like vibrations are affecting the recording.

What I'd like to know is where you can find a 911 GT3 RS with finger-gesture recognition for gear shifts like in FM7. Seems like GT Sport's is running in full-auto mode, too.

Both games have similiar sound sample imo. The only difference is the approach between these games. GT goes for natural approach with nice crackle on downshift. Forza have more aggresive sound and slightly higher pitch. Overall, both nailed the sounds nicely.

Edit :
A bit suggestions I think this real life footage have better audio recording to compare with both games :

So, i dont see GTS being less bumpy than PCars2! Just had to mention it because we discussed that part a few days ago.
It is when it comes to the impact on the car.

You may also remember that I said the ring wasn't the worst offender in the beta.

Out of curiosity, what is your world movement set at in PCars 2?
It's set to 100.

Thanks I will edit it in. 👍

this sounds totally different from the previous one.... probably there is a microphone out of the car

I admit it has quite different sounds on that video. Idk why but probably that could be the reason though.

the Porsche has a PDK transmission which is way faster than the Forza's iteration of the Porsche. GTS is more real.

In forza you can have the gears on auto, manual or manual with clutch. Shifting time changes depending on which option you choose so we would need to know which shifting method was being used to determine why the shifting time is longer than it should be.
Eh.. this one sounds quite different compared to the others. :| (glass down maybe?)
What this tells us is that trying to compare sounds in games to real life by watching you tube vids is fundamentally flawed 💡

Totally especially when you know how the car sounds in person :/

My apologies but I just want to search for a video with better audio quality. Probably the last one isn't that representative as a sample. I'm sorry though... :ouch:
I agree the earlier one in Autobahn has much better tune.

This looks great.

Does anyone know if T10 has released which tracks will feature day/night/weather cycles?
Urmie went through a track video and listed them.
Update 2: Went thru the whole video, here are the time/weather options per track:

Bathurst - Day
Bernese Alps - Day
Brands Hatch - Day, Weather
Catalunya - Day
COTA - Day, Night
Daytona - Day, Night
Dubai - Day
Hockenheimring - Day, Weather
Homestead Miami - Day, Weather
Indianapolis - Day
Le Mans - Day, Night, Weather
Lime Rock - Day
Long Beach - Day
Maple Valley - Day, Weather
Laguna Seca - Day
Monza - Day
Mugello - Day
Nurburgring - Day, Night, Weather
Prague - Day
Rio - Day
Road America - Day
Road Atlanta - Day
Sebring - Day, Night, Weather
Silverstone - Day, Night, Weather
Sonoma - Day
Spa - Day, Night, Weather
Suzuka - Day, Weather
Test Track - Day
Top Gear - Day, Weather
Virginia - Day, Night, Weather
Watkins Glen - Day
Yas Marina - Day, Night
However, what we're starting to learn is that each of the tracks, or seemingly, all have a "dynamic" TOD. Sometimes, a day track will transit to night & a night will transition to day. This was a Yas Marina night race that transitioned to dawn in the final laps.

Seeing that Yas Marina has Day/Night marked by Urmie, the tracks marked simply with 'Day' have one static TOD, no?

I can't confirm as I haven't experienced it yet on multiple tracks. In terms of COTA, I had a session of a bright day & a session with clouds that shaded certain parts of the track. I think that is the extent of those that have only one TOD. T10 hasn't appeared to really elaborate on these beyond a marketing statement claiming, "each time on a track presents new experience" or something like that.

@super_gt GTSport latest version. (Strange feeling that this is more a cutscene that something in real time)

That's the difference? Either you would watch the animation from the onboard view (you wouldn't see much at all, maybe the guy with the lollipop in front) or you can watch it like this, from the outside. Provided the cutscene / animation takes the same time as if you'd be driving down the pit-lane to your pit crew, I don't see a problem.

Maybe we can turn this off too. Who knows.

Forza Motorsport 7 / Porsche 911 RSR GT3 / Nordschleife / Thrustmaster TMX / Sim Mode / No Assisit

While this does look very good, what relevance is it supposed to be showing? The RSR is on a different level to the RS that's being discussed.
