Now High-Speed Ring in reverse is a little more interesting, as you are able to carry much more speed through the long banked turn. This is my best time on the reverse layout: 0:43:632 - with the R32 Skyline GTR 1989 model.
Should I make a spread sheet with all of these records listed?

because I think in the future it may come in handy

Spread sheet of all records on this forum so far

one thing i would like for anybody submitting any times is to put below if you are emulating and if you have modded the car in any way

PS: Since I couldn't use my full nickname when I made the profile here, could you write me as THE Crazy Hyena 😅
Oh, and I do play on an emulator. Duckstation with the 60 fps patch 😉

thank you that will fill in quite a few gaps
Anytime sir. You should probably add the game-version used as well, as the cars DO differ between the regions. NTSC-J for instance has a lot of cars that are around 300 kilograms lighter than the international releases (NTSC / PAL)

I use the PAL version myself, since that is the version I grew up with 😅

but i gotta say Crazy_Hyena you are smashing the recordsth

at is fine it is just the records i am after not the reigion records. but i gotta say you are smashing the record leaderboard at the moment

you are filling 3 of 5 spaces on the records list

meaning you hold 3 recorded world records at the moment

All my plays are in ePSXE 1.9.5 - i haven't any special settings, just base setup of emulator. And please right now enter only my 2nd-lap times and only them, cause I don't pursue to be best at 1st time lap and overall time too.

My current cars does not have setup. I'm using stock cars without any upgrades. When I will switch to upgrades - I will mention that in my posts, be sure.

Well, I have been playing the game since I was a kid after all. 25 years of experience though.
I do wonder though, what is the absolute best racecar in the game 🤔
So far, the RX-7 LM has been a solid performer in my version, but I have yet to try the FTO LM and the DelSol LM

Speaking of Imprezas. The '94 Wagon WRX is pretty solid.
Anyways. The ideal weight of the record-beating racecars is sitting at around 900-975 kilos. Anything heavier will struggle with understeer.

Now setting records in stock cars like @Jandarman is doing is an interesting take. I will have to do some testing with stock cars myself

true and here is an updated version of the records list

I will also start doing runs on the Special Stages and Grand Valley once I am back on my PC again.
So far my fastest runs on Grand Valley has been in the 1:30:xxx range, and 1:35:xxx on SSR 11

Brake a little earlier and hit the S-curve at around 150-160 km/h. That is the ideal speed for tackling those corners (with soft tires of course)
funny thing is i dont brake and i just let go of the acclerator for a sec which then puts me in to a power slide allmost immideately. and i hit them at 210 or so. but i just got a second lap time of 0:46.954 so allmost a PB

Not bad. Which car are you running?

Viper is great, but a little heavy in the corners, that was my experience with it.
So far, my best tuned car in the same power-range has to be the '94 Impreza. That thing is really quick, and does not struggle with wheelspin, due to being 4WD

Those RWD Skylines are pretty underrated to be honest.
The R33 Type-M is surprisingly good. Easily overshadowed by the GT-R models, but it is a decent performer. It is fairly lightweight for a Skyline too
