I think a 4'57 is perfectly within reach, the fastest I've gone was 1'05.1xx and it wasn't a clean lap so I didn't post it and at those speeds there's always ways to go faster, corners where you'r enot carrying as much speed as is possible.... the difficult thing is go say 95% in every part of the track and not crash.... but it's possible.... just hard work probably and a lot of concentration I'm sure. I've set my sights on you bmx! hehehe but I'd like to see the replay also to study my adversary hehehe :P Congrats on the lap!

Cheers

1'05?!! I believe that is impossible.

yeah its was a pretty good lap but i think u can get a 4:55 but yeah im gonna try and get a max memory drive so i can get it on here asap but yeah the us gp is awsome and i reccomend anyone that hasnt gone to go the cars sound AMAZING and they are soooo fast and i cant wait till this years race

I agree, I think it's possible also. I ran the 5'09 and have Max Drive or X-port for anyone that doesn't believe that run. There is plenty of time left in it.

It will be very difficult to run below 5 minutes. Rudi has run a 4'59 clean. He is one of the TOP GT racers in the world. 4'57 is a believeable time, and no offense StandardBMX, but just not a believeable time from someone that is "unknown".
That would be a lap on the limit nearly the entire time.
I'd love to be proved wrong with a replay however. ;)

u may not no me but im gonna try and get a sony pocket bit memory and ill get that replay to u hopefully i just hope it works with my computer because i have and old imac that almost nothing is compatible with but im hopin it works but in the meen time im gonna be workin on a 4:56 or hopefully a 4:55

getting below 5 mins will require you to drive as fast as possible everwhere. Completely forgetting about being careful and trying to be clean. So basically you need a little luck on your side to do it. I ran a 1'07.xx earlier but that was hairy. I ran a 1'02.xx in the Formula GT and there was alot of time to be had but thats so not fair I didnt even bother to post it. It wasnt that hard, all i needed was a clean lap and it was stupid fast. cause in arcade the Formula Car can be quick tuned. 1000hp and 347kg (600lbs!!!!) I had to set the weight to default because it was undriveable at 347kg because it wouldnt stay on the track, in some corners the car would stand up a bit and the front wheels would just come off and stay off the ground. I really want to see a replay so i can figure out where i can go faster because right now im shaving 10ths of my sector times and such but it would take me 3 months to get under 5 at that rate. Its all about track position and I have ADD so i cant remember what happened 3 turns ago let alone what happen last lap.

I know if i worked long enough at it I could get that low, but I think ill work on getting a lap in the C5R under 6mins because i know the time is there. for sure. I think if i hammered the entire lap i could maybe run a 5'5x.xx and that would be an almost perfect lap. and I can use supersoft tires which i didnt know at the time. SO theres possibly a few seconds there.

but my 6'05.122 still stands as Non-Prototype Lap Record at teh ring that has been submitted, and posted.

Thanks for pointing that out. :P

Time submitted:

GT Mode - Tuff240 - 5'99.992 - BMW M3 GTR Race Car - 726HP - 1120kg - R5 - Driver aids on - MT - DS2 - NTSC-NA

I ran that about a week ago. 2nd lap. So there is easily more time in it. 👍

oh its on

and i was talkinga bout the nurburgring i ment 5'02 not 1'02...

and 5'99.992 doesnt exsist in this worlds timescale.

mins'seconds.fractions of a second

so since theres 60 seconds in a minute you basically ran a 6'39.992

I improved my lap at Super License Test 16 again. Now i made a lap in 6"51.842 and i think it was very good. I can improve like 0.5 seconds yet.

Shall work more tomorrow, i´m done for today. :D

Oops, too many "9"'s in that time. :embarrassed:

My time is a 5'59.992

kensei, can you make that correction for me in my submitted time, or do I need to send it in again?

i ran a 6'00.208 in the C5R I could know i can get under 6 and im not gonna waste the time now. Instead im checking out teh McLaren F1 pretty fast, ran a 5'51.504 so far still about another 5 seconds in there.

I tried driving the F1 car again and got a second sector time of 54.719 which was damn fast but I wrecked in every corner after that :) that thing is too hard to drive at this track.

so im trying to get under 5'45.xx in the McLaren F1. I really like driving it too, it just seems to suit my driving style. Its predictable and controlable.

I think we should start a BMW 320i Lap Time Challenge here, see who really is fastest. That car isnt crazy fast, its controllable and its only fast if you know how to carry speed and postition the car, all things i can do just not at mach 3 like you have to do it if your driving the 88c-v

I can't belive this but I just blitz my previous best lap in GT Mode. I didn't think it was possible to run 5:17's in GT Mode but it can be done. I'm just a fraction of a second off. I was on pace but lost a bit of time in the later stages of the track trying to be carefull. Oh well.

wait, the times in GT mode are slower....damn i didnt even look at the GT Mode times figured they were about the same. I was running a 5'20 with mistakes in my R8 after i set it up. wonder what i can do in the 88c-v or the sauber c9 which are faster than the R8 at the ring.

oh yeah ran a 5'51.504 in the McLaren F1
and a 5'16.023 in the Sauber C9 both had plenty of time to get out of it. I personally had alot more fun driving the McLaren wasnt as stressful and I was able to blink more than once each sector.

WOW i just now beat my 4:57 and now i have a 4:55.859 and thats with a big mess up it was near the end on a right turn i took it too fast and went in the grass but came back out and kept goin u might with a perfect lap be able to get a 4:53 and i dont care if anyone doesnt beleive me now but i should have a memory drive tomorrow and even if i cant get one i will still be happy because my time will be so good people wont believe it till they see it

i was driving the c9 and its a toss up between which is a faster car. the 88c-v or the c9 im trying to decide. the C9 is a much more stable car, but i dont know if it has the acceleration.

But good job, why dont you stop for a little while and work on a different car you know so everyone else doesnt give up. Because everyone else is still at the 5min pace and your working your way to 4'50....not fair.

LOL how do u get the sauber mercedes i won the 300km of grand valley but i got a stremliner instead. should i win it a second time to get it or which race do i do to get it and i can wait to get the replay on here lets hope that it will work on my crapy imac

um if you save it on to the usb device and hook it up to your computer you should be able to open the device and explore it and see the files saved on it. well id assume you do that and then just save the replay file. I dont know what file type it is but you might need a video compressor or decompressor so save it as an avi file or mpg or something so we can view it. Otherwise wed have to load it on to our ps2 and i dont think you can load from usb devices. unless you have your ps2 hooked to your comp or whatever.

I won the C9 from the Formula GT. I know what a crappy prize but you get 4.5million credits from the series so its cool.

You guys really are pushing the limits now, guess I'll have to work even harder to try and keep up. Great stuff though, just love to see the times dropping and dropping every day. It is true you need to have lightning quick reflexes those cars really are damn quick. Still havent tried the formula racer in arcadem mode... taking 10% of its weight out it should weigh in as much as a caterham LOL!

YAY i got a 4'55.493 now i keep movin closer to a 4'54 and by the way when i copy the replay onto the usb memory drive how do i make it so its third person on the car instead of that cinematic mode

Everyone who sent a time in during the past few day via PM, that I didn't have questions on, your times are updated....

Leaderboard is updated with all the PM times I have gotten over the weekend. If you don't see your time re-PM me.

Sorry for the delay in getting this updated. Real life has been getitng in the way recently...haha.

to standard bmx, what car r u driving in order to get those stunning times and is it in arcade mode?

Arcade Mode - Pegasusrjf - 5'55.276 - BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 - 533hp - 1008kg - RSS/RSS - All Drivers Aids Off - MT - DFP (simulation, no assists) - NTSC U/C, US copy

Arcade Mode - Pegasusrjf - 4'58.001 - Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 - 1087hp - 765kg - RSS/RSS - All Drivers Aids Off - MT - DFP (simulation, no assists) - NTSC U/C, US copy

I have others but I need to find out whether I modified the HP and KG of the cars by trying again.

it's not unrealistic. if you gave a car a billion HP and put an invicible driver who wakes up and laughs at death every day, I'm sure you could make these times come true. in a game there is no risk to dying at all, unless someone walks into the room and shoots you for some reason. these people wouldn't try these times even if they were paid 8 times the money that Bil Gates, Oprah and Martha Stewart had all combined. I wouldn't either, it would suck to hit a wall at 190+ mph you know. also remember, that with GT4 we have basically unlimited seat time. so we can practice all we want and push even harder lap after lap. if we mess up, that just means you lap times are going to be a little slower. in real life, there is only so much you can do before you die. so yea, it's not unrealistic, just unlikely.

rock.

Ball325
formula car is undriveable in aracade mode.

I disagree. I have been able to get the Formula 1 car down to 5'15.xxx without any driver aids and the RSS tires. I also have it down to about 4'50.xxx with the driver aids turns on and RSS tires.

It is very difficult as the car turns so quickly with the tires and then maintaining optimum throttle when turning, but it is do-able.

Having said this, I wouldn't recommend it and I don't think it is worth the time, as the trouble of using the DFP at 100% and no driver aids makes it very difficult and very hard to hold the wheel.

I do want to match my driver aids time without using the driver aids, but overall I would prefer to race other cars on the track.

Ohh...I'm so close to this time with almost the same setup...was running on super soft racing tires though!

I went back yesterday and got some more seat time and I have to say, I LOVE this car! It handles very well & has good speed to boot!

I *think* my times were around 6mins/14 seconds...or somewhere around that...(I do know that I was actually faster in the M3 then my posted time in the Vette C5  ) but I definitely see room for improvement...I'll have to go back and see how much more I can push it & myself....
