Maybe you should be fair, the guy he was telling it two pretty much called him a inbred hill billy for saying "yall".

Agreed - apologies - you are right that both should have been reported, and as mod says, both comments are out of order on this forum.

I hate racism and racist remarks full stop.

Anyway back to topic:

Amar - I certainly believe all your posts having been a long-standing reader, even if I do post infrequently.

Amar, you've missed my previous couple of requests..... I beg of you to please answer this one if you know the answer :)

Has the bug which stops mileage being counted in championships (i.e. series championships) been fixed? Please run one of the championships which involves a series race and see if the mileometer(odometer) on the vehicle updates as it should.

Grovel grovel - please don't miss my humble request this time around ;)

sorry but i didn´t get it:
is there now a chance to save IN a 24 h race(nürb, Le Mans)???
and how does the time "go faster" by using B-spec? Is then 1sec in real 1 min in the game??
please can someone tell? :)
and NO Sauber for Grand valley enduro??...oh that´s unfair!...why do we get a worse car for the same race?...i just wanted to race grand valley sometimes to have some money(cause the prize money is high and you can sell the sauber for good money, too)!!!....anyway has the Prize money changed in any way?

What I do know from experience is that you can race 3 times faster in B-Spec Mode when you use X's 3 which will do the race in one third of the time, You can do a 24 Hour Race in 8 Hours in this mode, A 3 Hour race in 1 Hour, It's excellent in those long nightmare races, You have to come back now and then and forward the race back to X3 again though, The reason why is that when your car pits the game go's back to X1 which is the games regular speed!

^ it's nice that there is actually a purpose for B-Spec... i think i'll be tagging in and out of the driver's seat during the enduros... just like IRL. Although, I'm sure i'll do the 24hr Nurb once just to be hardcore ;)

The ultimate test of skill, of course, is the super license, and you'll need this if you want to open up the really crazy stuff in the game like F1 races. Competent racing gamers will need at least a few hours to crack the super license. Although not especially crazy in terms of the tasks, the real challenge comes in how particular you need to be on the very lengthy challenges. You'll start by racing a 1966 Alfa Romeo through the narrow streets of Italy; tackle an ice rally with a very strict time limit in a tricked-out Hyundai; and ultimately face the final test which is a lap of the Nürburgring in a Mercedes 190E Evolution II. Get sloppy on just one turn in any of the challenges, and you'll find yourself burning an hour or more on a single test because of restarts.
From the 1up.com review

the important bit is underlined
so not only is the streamline replacing the C9 as the grand valley prize car
the 190e evoII replaced it as the final super license test- s16 you know the one that there is the sick driving vid of

can you please confirm amar?

mule: that's interesting. amar212 can you confirm?

BTW: those streamline Auto Union pics are amazing!!! Just the best racing car for me .. ever .. thank you!

I'm not sure if this is accurate, as the IA license #15 already is a lap at the Nürburgring using the Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5 - 16 Evo II. On the other hand they might be talking about the race car version, so I'm not sure. This test wasn't as hard though, I got on the grass twice, but on the third run I got it. If you know the ring and keep the car on the track, gold is a piece of cake.

Cheers,
the Interceptor

Well, about the saving in 24 hour Endurance races...

Just read the review of PSW on this site and it clearly says:

That's right, sleep dodgers, GT4 lets you take part in a real-time 24 hour race and, thank goodness, you can save your game mid-race. Sadly, no it doesn't move from day-to-night.

So maybe after 12 hours of racing you have one chance to save?

Just a thought...

On the other hand, there are some things wrong with this review ...

This time, Polyphony has really pushed the boat out with a colossal 85 different tests required before the full range of five licenses are yours.

I thought there were only 80 license tests?

It's worth noting that owners of GT4 Prologue who managed to complete the entire game can import their old saved position and skip 75% of GT4's licence tests.

I thougt only the A and B licenses were passed with that savegame. So not 75%, but only 40%.

So just maybe, it's another typo...
Time will tell...

16 in each plus a bonus test call coffee breaks in each license total 85. That is what is in NTSC/Japanese & Chinese.

So if the PAL version doesnot have have the Sauber C9 as the prize car for the 300km endurnace, where will we win it? that was the only place to win the C9 in the Asian version so where will PAL players get it? Whats the news on being able to save during endurance races then amar, if you have got that far yet!

I'm guessing that since we PAL users don't win the C9 in the 300km race, we win it elsewhere. Probably for hitting a certain percent of game completion.

that is blindlingly obivious why didnt i think of that!?!?
oh well good stuff live4speed. Hopefully its not 100% otherwise I will feel somewhat deprived. Although in all fairness I dont have much to complain about being a PAL user cept its 2.5 weeks till I get the game.

I was being a little sacastic with the state the obviouse bit ;).

If it is a percent complete bonus then we can only win it once, so don't sell it.

ixnay
I hope they haven't taken it out of the game
Well as of right now, You can win it at the Endurance Race Grand Valley 300, Tomorrow may be a different story since US GT4 has been delivered and can be picked up at 12:00 noon! 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Yes its in the game but in NTSC/J it can be obtained thru G. Valley 300km.. If the US version replaced C9 with the Auto Union Car, where will I get the C9???

We will know in 12:00 Hours when the game is released, Until then we just have to wait! Any guessing wouldn't be cool since the game is just a nights sleep away.

PS. The game is in GameStops all across California!!!

That will be a bit of a nuisance if you can only win it once. Still, seeing as everyone will be (out of necessity pretty much due to the autosave) keeping an up to date back up (I did that on the Japanese version anyway). You can at least buy another C9 if you really need more than one. I suppose for the "collectors" it is good to keep a no mileage car in your garage. I know I did on the Japanese version (hence about 750 or so cars in my garage!).

Proxima & Flerbizky

Both of you are making un-acceptable remarks.
Personal attacks are not tolerable.

If either of you continue official actions will be taken to make sure you do not do this sort of thing again.

I have deleted my original post, as no one spotted the obvious [harsh sarcasm] and mistook it for racism.

But Proxima DID, basically, call amar212 a liar (twice).. And someone with <30 posts doesn't have the credibility in my book to do so..Especially as amar212 has been a solid and VERY trustworthy member, not only with regards to GT4 info, for a long time...

Once , Twice

It's true about the C9.

And Roger, you can't buy it since it's a special model with no price in PAL.

I wonder if there is a dodge on that... As for Series you can clear completions to rewin cars... does this affect the percentage?

Could you get upto 25% then clear a few Series drop to 24% and then rerun them to get the car again?

If the C9 cannot be acquired any other way that would be a very useful "feature" in my opinion.. 👍

However I would think it's unlikely that we'll be able to do that.. One can still hope though! :)

Cheers!

Some unbuyable cars can be bought as a trade from another memory card. I should have made that clear. Buying from a memory card can save money. I bought a Toyota 7 Can Am car from another memory card for under 100,000,000. A BMW V12 LM was 322,000,000 or so on the same memory card but 450,000,000 in the showroom. I'll have to check out the cost of the C9 via a trade.

If you are unable to get all Golds and you can find a Model T on a save (I hope to get one of those up on my Web site to go with the Japanese ones) it can be bought for 20,000,000.

Of course those are Japanese prices, Chop a couple of 0's for the PAL version.

The IA run is in the road car and the S-16 run is in the DTM car (German Touring Car racer).

I am now wondering if the C9 has maybe been removed from the PAL version. Amar, is the car visible in the Merc showroom?
