How do the times compare to the C9?

Surely the touring car is slower than the C9 and therefore the times will have to be a lot higher?

C.

I'm probably the only one on the whole of GTP who WONT be getting gt4 today. Or in the next month. :(

I didnt pre-order, nor do i have the cash on hand. Sigh.

Yes its in the game but in NTSC/J it can be obtained thru G. Valley 300km.. If the US version replaced C9 with the Auto Union Car, where will I get the C9???

I'd like to know this as well, as it was one of the cars I was really looking to get...earlier in the game is always better then 'later in the game' if you know what I mean! :)

If you are unable to get all Golds and you can find a Model T on a save (I hope to get one of those up on my Web site to go with the Japanese ones) it can be bought for 20,000,000

There's a "small" problem (at least in Asian version) :

When you "trade" a hidden bonus (= not shown in GT Mode showroom), it doesn't unlock it in the Arcade Mode...
For example, the Formula One... so unless winning it, you won't be able to play with it in arcade mode and... LAN mode (= online mode with xlink).

Of course, we'll soon know if we can load garage (GT mode) cars for the LAN Mode, at least in the US version.

It seems they absolutely want us to use the B-Spec mode, which is (at my opinion) an insult for a videogame based on the motto : the drive of your life :grumpy:

**********INFO UPDATE #11, Thursady 22nd Feb********
Nop more ridiculous driving in the final exam of S Licence - as stated before in some late threads, I can confirm that final S Licence is no more Sauber C9 but Merc-Benz Evo II DTM. However, Sauber is in the game, so expect the sweet beast on some other place.
 Why is ridiculous drive the Sauber?

Some unbuyable cars can be bought as a trade from another memory card. I should have made that clear.

Sorry for being stupid but would that mean that I can backup my (future) GT4 save to another memory card and then trade the C9 I already had from that mem card to my first so that I will have 2 C9:s on the same save? (Was that unclear enough? :) )

Cheers!

You had to drive the C9 fast to get the license. Bearing in mind you had to stay on the track for 20 kilometres so as not to fail, it was not easy. It has taken me a while to learn the track well enough to even consider passing that license. I have now got within 2 seconds of the time in the Can Am Toyota 7 racer (full tuned though I only really used the power on the final straight). SO I may finally be able to get a bronze on that license.

Yes, you can do that for a second C9 (I've done it with some cars admittedly on the Japanese version but I am sure the same will be true of the PAL).

It will be expensive, but at the stage that it becomes available then money ought not to be too great a problem. I will double check the price with my Japanese version tonight.

Oh man, they replaced the car with another one? Lame...:indiff:

Was really looking forward to do that test. The impact will not be the same :yuck:

What are the times for bronze, silver and gold?

lol the C9 is my fav car! I think I might get a chip or swap magic and get an import version!

Unless you win the C9 for one of the 24 hour enduros, that would make me actually race one. I guess if they have removed the C9 from the Grand Valley 300km prize list that is a good thing - what a lame enduro to win such a legendary car.

So are we going to get the updates :scared: :scared: :scared:

That is what I am dying to know as well.

It seems as though it should, being that the PAL version is coming out only a couple weeks after the US release.

If the US version doesnt I am going to be VERY pissed. The PAL version has a lot more cars- Group C, Chapparals.

Please PD, give us these!!!

I suppose i can't talk Croatian here so here is a question for you, that i am not certain you can answer.

What can we expect in next months edition of Gameplay Magazine?

I think the shots depend on the car. I was adjusting a Honda S500 and there was less range (if I recall correctly) than the Nissan R92CP. This was on the Japanese version.

I thought that everyone knew the game would not work with Swap Magic.

I'm guessing that since we PAL users don't win the C9 in the 300km race, we win it elsewhere. Probably for hitting a certain percent of game completion.

Another possibility could be the replacement of a car that can be either won or bought in the asian version. If I read correcty the threads, the Audi R8 can be bought (450 000 000 credits, there is a picture showing it) or won (24h endurance at Le Mans). So they may have replaced the Audi won in 24h endurance by the Sauber ?
About the R8, I saw pictures showing the red one #1 and yellow #2. Is there the choice when you buy it ? Does somebody have the answer ? If the answer is no, I guess that can explain why the R8 can be bought (red #1) or won (yellow # 2 ?)

Anyway this is just an hypothesis

If you had read Amars post (nt the topicpost but the normal last) he said that the C9 was in the car list but with no prize so its still in and its an prize car(else it would anme an price for wich you could buy it)

I'm not sure if you posted for me, but if the case, I wasn't meaning the sauber could be bought. (read again my post). I just meant that, as the R8 could be either bought or won in asia version (24h le mans), it could be replaced by the sauber as a new price for this race. The R8 could still be bought, thought.

Did you get it, or am I wrong with my English ? (I assume mistakes if there are)

If you were not posting for me, well, sorry for disturbing.

Time for gold with DTM EvoII is 7:07:700. Silver is 7:30:000, while bronze is something like 8 minutes.

I have 7:11 on S16, didn't bother really to improve.

And when talking about changed things, I just knew something else was not right - the S Licence with Pescarolo on Paris Opera has been replaced with Clio Sport V6 - another fast licence gone.

Also, to clean the fuss about the front/rear spolier thing - as in Asian version, buying the rear spolier gives you the chance to adjust downforce for both car sides. However, buying the front spoiler alone is not possible, as it can't be seen on the car.

WTF, that test was cool (car was a tiny bit too stiff for the track but still....), what happened to developer's making games harding for Europeans (like MGS)?
