I have 7:11 on S16, didn't bother really to improve.

And when talking about changed things, I just knew something else was not right - the S Licence with Pescarolo on Paris Opera has been replaced with Clio Sport V6 - another fast licence gone.

Also, to clean the fuss about the front/rear spolier thing - as in Asian version, buying the rear spolier gives you the chance to adjust downforce for both car sides. However, buying the front spoiler alone is not possible, as it can't be seen on the car.
But you can buy a Rear wing or Rear wing +front spioler but no "only front wing".
Or what?

I'm not sure if you posted for me, but if the case, I wasn't meaning the sauber could be bought. (read again my post). I just meant that, as the R8 could be either bought or won in asia version (24h le mans), it could be replaced by the sauber as a new price for this race. The R8 could still be bought, thought.

Did you get it, or am I wrong with my English ? (I assume mistakes if there are)

If you were not posting for me, well, sorry for disturbing.
No, i was just posting to some other dudes that where panicing because of the Sauber, not you.

I seem to be the only person who doesn't mind the Sauber not being in the S Liscense Test.
I absolutely love the Clio in any form, so I'm looking forward to using it for the tests:)

No you buy a rear wing and a front spoiler only, the only thing is you can't see the front spolier you just get the benefits of it being there, ie adjustable front downforce. You don't buy one or the other.

Ok, for people asking about the front spoilers...
I think when you buy a rear spoiler you also get a front diffuser(?) which sits under the car, meaning you can't see it. This is why you can't see any front spoilers on cars with rear spoilers, but it does allow you to adjust the front downforce. 👍
I'm not sure if they're called diffusers, but I know the part I mean. It sits just under the front of the car, and there's one sticking out of the back of the Speed 12 in GT3. Please correct me if i'm wrong, i'm not an expert on aerodynamics. :dunce:

i think they just didn't make the front ones graphically possible

I too won't really miss the C9 license test i think. But maybe that's just because I'm not good enough to pass it! :)

You love the Clio in any form? In GT3 the Clio Race Car is exellent but the real car (just normal Clio) is a TOTAL waste of otherwise perfectly good petrol.. :)

Cheers!

I do so hope that you are not including the following in that very sweeping statement:

Clio Williams (mk 1 to 3)
Clio V6 (Mk 1 and 2)
Clio 172 (Standard and Cup)
Clio 182 (Standard and Cup)

Because the Clio's listed above are anything but a waste of petrol, being arguably the finest collection of hot-hatches ever (apart from the V6, which is actualy slower than the 182 down most b-roads, but looks and sounds so good).

To all that are "disappointed" because of the changed cars in Licenses:

You all know the times to beat! So go on play the game buy / win the cars and race them on the courses WITH/WITHOUT TCS and try to beat the times without getting of the TRACK.

It doesn´t matter to me if I have to drive a DTM Merc or the Sauber... :)

See ya

I know... It's just why the heck change cars if there is already a positive feedback about it? It's a bit needless work for something that's already good...

But then again, I'm happy they have done the extra mile for the European version.

heeej amar where can I find your pictures, you say there is a link or so in page 7 of this threat... can't find it. Or am I wrong? My thanks in advance!

front end downforce is created by a splitter, at the bottom of the bumper, which parts the air, forcing the air over and under the car. the air under the car has been accelerated and its presure reduced. a small front diffuser is placed under the front section of the underbody to help increase the pressure of the air under the car, which promotes downforce. a secondary splitter is place afte the front diffuser to re-accelerate the air under the car and channels it down to the rear diffuser. additional front end downforce can be added by using diveplanes (small auxillary wing shaped plates) usually placed before the front wheels. dive planes are not really needed for road cars, as the create to much drag.

The onlything for PD to model for front downforce would be a larger splitter, so visually there would not be alot of difference anyway. so there really wouldnt be any point to modeling them on.

if anyone is interested in finding out more on race car aerodynamics, check out this site, it has heaps of info http://www.mulsannescorner.com

so.... which one will be harder? S-16 with C9 or S-16 with 190E??
considering C9 was a little bit too fast for me... prob 190E would be slightly easier.... but its handling isn't that good... dunno what's the time limit for new S-16 test..

So that means a revision of the Prize Listing (for both PAL and US versions) is in order..
No more C9 prize on G. Valley 300km.

Its called a splitter, on the back F1 cars have an diffuser.

So if i buy a rear spioler i will get also an front splitter automatticely, always?

Thats good news!

1 query (for anyone):

Is the US/NTSC the same as the PAL version for content? Do they get our added cars? Our added options?

So far it seems exactly the same from what Ive heard.

Time for gold with DTM EvoII is 7:07:700. Silver is 7:30:000, while bronze is something like 8 minutes.

Amar212, in terms of handling and speed, how does the DTM EvoII compare to the Falken GT-R that was on the Japanese Demo? If the cars are similar, those times seem VERY reasonable to someone that has run many laps on the Nurburgring.

@ Amar212:

I heard that there were rumours the PAL version would support a HDD for saving multiple gamesaves and downloading new tracks and cars. Now I'm pretty much sure this is not in, but still a confirmation would be nice.

Cheers,
the Interceptor

I got 2 questions

Amar have you noticed the bouncing Screen problem that the NTSC version got ??

and if you transfer your licens from the memorycard will you not be able to win the pricecars for thoose licens ?

I remember from some earlier post of Amar, that PAL version is ok. No screen problems or "lag"

I think it's been discussed before, the transfer only gets you the first 2 licenses, NOT individual gold times on the tests themselves. You get the bonus cars by aquiring gold times so that means you still have to gold all times for each license level to get the car.
