Cruzer Mini 256MB works.

Just delete everything off it, format it to FAT 32 (you can leave whatever you had as a label, doesn't matter; mine's LOCUST 2) and just plug it in your PS2 and go. GT4 will save it to your USB drive in a folder called "GT4" with each image saved as "IMG0001.JPG"

Here's some info if it makes any difference:
55006 GT White Console
Chinese version GT4 Legit
Magic Pro mod chip (having no problems booting up, but that's for another thread)

For all you with a Cruzer Mini who's pissed off; ENJOY!

I just tried what you did but it still doesn't work for me..

I have a mini cruzer 256mb and each time I try to save a picture it loads until 1/3 of the bar and says the usb device is not connected :guilty:

I used my Nikon Coolpix 4500, and it works absolutely fine. The camera itself doesn't recognize the files, but they're saved successfully onto the 256mb card and transferred onto the computer right now. I'm going to check my Sony MD player later on just as a backup.

I did not read the entire 11 pages, nor do I intend to. However, I have a working device.

I used my Olympus digital camera and it works fine. I cannot think of the model off-hand, but I have had experience with 3 different Olympus digital cameras and they all work EXACTLY the same with the PC... so unless someone can disprove it, I will wager that they would all work the same with the PS2 through a proper USB cable.

So add it to the list, ANY OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA!

Hey!
It`s not the same, mine is gold painted. But the logo`s the same. I think your safe 👍 It worked surprisingly well for me! I have so much fun with photo mode!
Just got myself a SLR  woohiii! That`s nice :sly:

Im probably being dumb here, at the computer shop next door to my employer has a keychain sized 128M USB flash-ROM...should this work?

I've read through this thread, 2 other people including myself use the Lexar JumpDrive 128mb usb 2.0 device. Works like a charm. Please add to list.

I've tried this and it isnt working, do you have to set the Allocation Unit Size to a certain number when you format the flash drive to FAT32? Has anyone else got this to work? Is the "GT4" folder created automatically? Does the flash drive have to be in the PS2's usb port on startup? Plz help...

I've formatted mine to FAT instead of FAT32, and it works just fine. Just as another data point.

(This was particularly useful so I could access the memory stick on my Mac as well as my PC).

Yea no kidding. 256mb is more than enough for GT4 photo storage, however I'm extremely impatient and there's a radioshack 2 blocks from my work :D That, and I use it for general file transfer too, so I just went with the $50 512mb stick

Damnit, I just tried my 20 gb Ipod, my ipod mini, my digi cam And none of them work. I just bought a Ipod uhh i forgot, the small ass ones ill try it later on tonight

Well I've just tried the San Disk Cruzer Mini 128 mb Model Number SDCZ2-128, and it does NOT work for me, I've tried formatting it to FAT and FAT 32, can anybody tell me if I can try anything else?

I've got a chipped UK PS2 and I'm playing the NTSC/J version of the game until the UK version comes out.
