I really admire atlop for his entry.. bro, you are one of the most creative members here, keep it going!! For me these forums are more of an opportunity to express myself with GT4's photo-mode than a 'serious competition'.. I'm sure there are many who feel the same way.

This is simply 440 CHARGER's opinion and his right as the previous winner and chooser of the theme. While his theme allows any picture to be entered this week, only his ten favorite will make the poll. I guess scenery shots just aren't his favorite. This isn't fixing, it's just how these comps work because the previous winner gets to choose the top ten.

ya well, look at how he said it though. obviously some members have commented and approved of his entry. so, how would you think his reply of 'dont worry, it won't make it to the polls' sound to me and maybe some other people ? all i was trying to say is it wasnt necessary to flame his entry. it's almost like disputing someone's opinion.

Sorry if I upset anyone, it was'nt my intentions at all. I just thought I would let you all know in case perhaps you wanted to change your entry. I suppose I could have mentioned that in the theme, but I did'nt think to exclude scenery shots because they never came to mind. I am always expecting to see car shots. But again, sorry for the confusion and stuff.

well, the word "OPEN" competition usually means anything can be used / entered. i guess you should take note of the rules you make next time. and words, specially when written down, can mean a million things. check for reference and think before you speak or type. thanks. and just so you all know, atlop's got my vote whether he makes it to the poll or not.

Im not worried about it...at least he shared what he wanted to see. I have no problem changing it. Its not too often the topic maker give you an idea of what they want to see. Sometimes I like really artsy scenery shots and will not pic a quality close up...its just what I like at the time.

He could have not said anything and the scenery pics would have all got cut...then there would be a big stink too.No biggie.

It's hardly edited at all btw. But to tell you the truth, since I have some idea what 440 Charger likes, I did not really except to make it into the poll with it even when I thought scenery shots would be allowed. altough i dont think people should have critisized your other shot - it was a good photo - i think people should be able to enter what they want and if people dont like the style there isnt really any need to make some of the comments that have been made ! This has taken away from this weeks comp.

Great shot atlop, that's exactly what I was talking about.. I just love the way the fence creates those lines on the track at that angle 👍 (I think it's that?), beautifully simplistically creative! (like the choice of car too btw)

This is probably not the place to post this, but MINICOOPER120 was asking who and why voted NO for the new photoshop comp.. well I voted NO, here's why (my opinion):



When it comes to ART/CREATIVITY, one man's MONA LISA is another man's THE SCREAM, and who's to say which one is best? After all, we're not talking nice angles & photo clean-up here, we're talking 'works of art', and though I'm quite sure there are plenty of 'shop-masters' out there, I can't begin to imagine how long it would take to create 'art' using photoshop (only to be told it's crap.. how crushing that would be! ). I'll just stick to the PMC and 2.0 rules for now.. more than enough challenge there for me.
I rather feel we need a comp to encourage new members to enter (maybe learn the ropes) and not feel overly intimidated by the very high standards/skills that reside here to do so (boy, I know I was.. still am).

Anyway.. I see the new comp is now up and running and I wish it all the best!
