... And the Historic Car Cup and S-Licence exam ... but that was about it. Grindelwald was pretty much the least-used track next to Rome Night. Mind you I never liked Grindelwald, especially the stinking Shelby Sereis 1 ...

And thank you, hellnback, New York is anti-clockwise ... I've never played GT4:P so I wouldn't know.

You're not missing much in GT4P, just a few very annoying Licenses, especially if you're going for Golds.

Hmmmm, if my Playstation wasn't on the blink, I'd load up GT & GT2 to get the answers to my Clock & Anti-Clockwise question...

Do you race?

shame on you. ginderwald was my favourite, therefore it is automatically the best in GT2.

Just kidding, but you should still be ashamed of yourself.

Why? I didn't (and still don't) play Arcade much so I find my favourite tracks are places like Apricot Hill, Rome and Trial Mountain, frequently use din the main game. But I did get sick of places like Laguna and Seattle - they were used way too much. I would have prefered tracks like Rome Night, Grindlewald (even though I hate it) and Special Stage Route 11 (should have been included, I love it!) to be used a bit more instead of Laguna and Seattle in places.

I'd also like some more night tracks for GT4: how about New York Night and Grand Canyon Night (a night dirt rally would be soooo cool)?

And note to PD: get rid of the Seattle and Rome Short Courses. They were downright boring compared to the full tracks and rarely used.

I'm not. When ti comes to GT, I never have been and I never will be. Unless I get beaten by like 0.001 seconds in an Endurance race ... just kidding.

I wasn mountain course not for rally but for drifting. does any one know of any one know of any for gt4?

Usually I don't do this but, I must. Can you please say that in english please.

I don't think there are any confirmed yet. I would also like to see a mountain stage. Maybe they could layout a section of road and have 180 degree turns on the top and bottom. You would drift the whole way up, turn around, work your way down, and repeat.

In "Free Run" mode in GT3, I had the chance to attack Laguna Seca in reverse. As any road racing fan would know, the highlight of Laguna Seca is the Corkscrew. So when I went up the Corkscrew, my car was sparking everywhere as I trudged uphill! But I never completed the run because all I wanted to do was the Corkscrew.

Grindelwald (pronounced "Grin-dehl-valde" for GT newcomers) kind of suited vintage cars and rally cars more than pure LMP race cars. I normally liked racing machines like the beautiful Toyota 2000GT and the Datsun 240Z on Grindelwald. Now some of you may remember that I called these two machines the most beautiful Japanese cars of all time (of course I considered the Nissan S15 Silvia as the most beautiful of today. I pity Nissan for not giving us this lovely car, or at least a continuation of the 240SX here in America). If you ask me, Grindelwald should be dual-purpose. It can be a road race, but also a tarmac rally. Or who knows? Maybe El Capitan will be the new Grindelwald.

Has anyone given any consideration to try Grindelwald to be a very nice place to drive around? Back in 2001, I was looking up some pictures for an art project, and I was fortunate enough to find some pictures of an NSX meeting at Grindelwald. It was pretty cool. Don't have pictures, so don't ask.

What past GT track would serve as the perfect Photo Mode locale to take pictures? But if you ask me, if I had to choose a city that would be lovely for Photo Mode would have to be (get ready, my Californian counterparts...) beautiful San Francisco.

What would be the best track for Photo Mode?

GT1 - SSR11
GT2 - Rome Night
GT3 - Dunno, haven't played it
GT4 - Citta di Aria from the screens

But the best city? Sydney would be good, naturally, but how about Istanbul? The old Hagia Sofia Cathedral meets the new Subaru WRX rally car. Nice.

It's not pronounced like that. Well, at least that is what I can remember from my German lessons. ;)

Wald, is pronounced as Wald or Vald. Just as in Swartzwald.

But hey. As if anyone can be bothered about it. :)

As a small point, when I was talking about "uploading images to my computer in JPEG or BMP format, I was talking about the pictures I'd save in Photo Mode. That's what I was talking about. I don't know if I posted this or not already, but hey. Doesn't hurt to say it again.

they also modified the bus stop for the grand prix as the cars were coming into the 1st corner to quickly ( for all those watching that race montoya is the official king of overtaking although reanult probally dont agree)

I wonder if the drag strip at Infineon wil be used? It's a good choice for PD because it's already there on a circuit they've included, so why not? It would add a bit more variety to Drag Racing.

In earlier times in my "career" on GTPlanet, I noted that the Sears Point course would offer some variety in drag strips, because as you NHRA fans would know, Sears Point has been the site for some good nighttime drag racing. So why not bring that same experience to GT4? Come on PD, give it a shot!

That's 3 tracks PD sould use at Sears' Point:

1) The standard 'long' track
2) "The Chute," a track which is basically just the perimetre of Infineon
3) The drag strip (which doesn't look to be 400m ... maybe 1km? That way PD could have 1/4 mile drag races (Las Vegas) and 1km drag races (Infineon) ...

Another Las Vegas track that could go in: The 1981-2 USA West Grand Prix track, fourteen tight turns ... in the carpark of Caesar's Palace! Labelled "flat and uninspiring" by some and described with expletives by the rest, it could actualy work in GT4 as a Test Track ... think a large-scale Motorsports Land. With it's series of ever-tightening turns and averaging over 100mp/h per lap, it's perfect for drifting!

Pretty sure that Grindelwald will be in.

Too good for showing-off the capabilities of graphic engine. And far best for the old-school racing, it's an all-time favorite.

BTW Grindelwald is located in Switzerland, I even had an archive with the original photos of location together with the train parked on the left side when going in normal direction.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see. it seems unlikely that an old GT track would slip in without any notification. That said, though, we're still a large number down on the supposed 100 tracks (including reverses) for GT4. After all, rarely are real tracks reversible, and so if we subtract those from the list, we're looking at a needed 60 actual tracks. So far we've only confirmed 39 tracks, with the possibility of there being 48 if all the photo locations are included, and we've only even heard mention of a total of 60, and that's including test tracks...
I suppose though we have to consider that KY did mention 8 arcade-unique tracks, and they may count towards the 100 total too. Either way, though with essentially 100 tracks to play with, i'll be happy!

I think that those 8 never turned out to be something. I asked about it earlier, but there's been no more mention of it. Apparently the stats for the tracks are 55 courses, 45 of which are in reverse. Hopefully this time they'll all be used equally, I was gettnig sick of racing on about 5-6 tracks time after time after time and again in GT2 ...

The use of tracks was more evn in Gt3 but there were so many event per course i still got tired of racing on them...

Even with Gt3's 20 or so tracks, over 100 events still made them get tired, especially the harder ones.

I was living in Vegas back then.... during Physical Ed class you could hear the cars SCREAMING around the track. I went to the race [though I didn't know much about racing at 12 yrs old], not even sure who won......
