Those shots are quite pretty actually.

tachometer seems fine to me. Dunno what did you expect?

I expected it to be translucent. But that could just be the way that particular view is.

If you think they're pretty that's cool...but I really don't.

The tach is translucent, however I don't think it looks as good as the ones in GT4, but at the same time I dion't see anything wrong with them.

for some reason i dont like the way the car graphics look, they kinda just look fuzzy...cant think of the better word, but they dont look that clear to me, and i was going thru some of those first ones and i came across some green car...maybe supra? i wasnt paying close attention, anyways, the car looked off somehow...there just wasnt much detail to it or something, but it wasnt very attractive :yuck:

It was a modded Supra, what looked off was probably the rear window, it had been changed to a smaller flat window like on a Honda CRX.

well yeah i get that much...maybe its how all the tires arent quite low profile enough for my taste, but not only that...just between the supra and the GT before it....the cars just look pudgy :grumpy:

those sparks look like Multi-banana drop attack from Mario Kart... :)

if the bananas were neon. geez, it looks like somebody has a blowtorch on his frontbumper and is trying to weld itself to the car in front.

Yeah, those pictures were posted at IGN only two days ago, and the two that I linked to were among the worst of the worst (all horrible). I wasted my $10 on the Forza demo back in December, but even though I thought that was pretty bad, it seems as if their graphics have really gone to ****. They just announced another delay, the most current one being to May, but between this ****, and the major ****** that Bill Gates and his probable ex-employee had at CES, they might as well wait for XBOX3.

that "ex-employee" was the producer of forza. I highly doubt he got fired because of a buggy beta crashing on him.

Once again the argument against Forza has come down to graphics, regardless of which graphics you like more, the actual game seems far more involving than Gran Turismo 4. Theres more to do, more to tune, online races and leader boards, IMO he graphics are good enough, the physics are as good as GT4's at the current Beta stage and the acr customisation is better than in GT4. So yes Forza's career mode, from the sounds of it, does match and even exeed GT4's. There are obviouse and expected similarities between a few of the cups and events like a trophy for FF cars only, but a sim that goes the GT route would be lacking if it didn't split events up like that at some point.

Code_kev : it's almost useless to even debate anymore. Their mind has been set and nothing is going to change it. The anti-microsoft crowd will never like an xbox game no matter how good it is.

I bought a PowerPc G5 2 days ago and people are looking wondering why i didn't buy a pc. They just don't get it.

So true. I just hope that one day, they can grow up, realise that all companies want your money and care little for you, and that games can be good regardless of who made em etc. OFC there are some that will just ass kiss sony/ PD, MS or nintendo for ever, and be eternally stupid.

The interior and the driver are just fotos.

OH NOES!

D-

Try harder next time

Well, if you're not into graphics and multimedia, you spent a lot more money then you had to.

I'm not anti-microsoft.(I know you weren't singling anyone out) I just don't see how Forza is so great except for 2 things. Car list and online. That's about it. Damage....eh, at the current level of what has been reported it doesn't interest me one bit. Laying down the rubber is pretty cool and having it effect later laps. I just hope they do it right.

But yeah, Oh, L4S, how is Forza more tunable then GT4? I guess you mean with the body kits and all?

Yeah, the usual muffler, turbo, suercharger and so on is there, but also theres the custom paint and decals and bodies.

I think the only way of sorting out the graphics argument between the two games is for people to find similar screenshots of both games and see which they think looks better. I have and I think I still prefer GT4. I really wish some of the Forza cars were in though.

(I guess the argument will go on for ever, I look forward to post 9,999,999,999!) :)

Some people prefer the OS, and they whole apple thing too I guess

It also plays pretty well too, and in has features that GT4 misses. Things like the tyre simulation etc

Smashing cars is fun, and the fact it effects how the car drives too matters.

And engine swaps etc... I guess.

Hmm...ok. But the bodykits is the only thing that really effects the cars performance. Honestly, I dont' worry about that part. All that stuff to me says "rice" I'd rather keep it pure. I know people like to individualize, and that's cool. But if I want to be all that different, I'll go play NFSU 2.

Forza is going to succeed for the sheer fact it's the ONLY decent sim on the Xbox. So, there you go. And there's nothing wrong with that. I just really don't see what all the hype is about. Same with GT4. I'm very much getting GT4 as soon as I can. However, I'm not going to stand here and say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, cause it WON'T be. Just to let all the fanboys know. :sly:

That's why it's optinional in the game.

And all these rice "boyz" with their cars covered in plastic will be going slower anyway, all that extra crap effects the car BW AHAHAH.

Sega GT is decent, just not great ;)

you can also tune the fuel management, among other things.

From what I've heard from that_con, the upgrades resemble the bland GT style of stage 1, stage 2, blah. that's dissapointing. I was hoping for something more realistic along the lines of MCO.

Is a Nismo GT-R JGTC "riced up", no. Real racecars use body kits, and as said before theres a lot of kits in Forza that would be used on a race car. I know theres a few "ricey" ones too but thats to get a larger audience. The body kits in Forza should not be compared to thoes in NFS:U.

Again, if I want to smash cars, I'll got to burnout. Sims are supposed to be about racing or drifting. Smashing cars doesn't fit into either of those categories. However, if you can "total" your car because of lack of control, that is certainly a good thing.

Yeah, you don't have to do it, but most will and then not understand why they get owned online.

Yep. A body kit doesn't automatically put you in the "rice" category. I'm talking about the rest of the stuff, vinyl, neon, decals, strange paint jobs, etc.. That's ricey.

not all kits are gross. I like a tasteful kit, it adds character to certain cars. Ever play tokyo extreme racer 3? you can make some wicked looking machines with a combination of different parts, and they don't have to look ricey. There's also a selection of track-grade aero parts, like carbon splitters and diffusers. I want fat box flares on my car to make it look like a time-attack monster. I don't see how options can hurt.

and fer craps sakes: damage isn't a gameplay option! it's there in case you CRASH, by accident, so that it doesn't look STUPID like when you do in GT. It's just a little bonus, but it makes a big difference when it changes the way your car drives (like TOCA 2)

This a bad thing? :D

Damage and wear is part of racing imo

Oh and I'll certainly be modding my car, changing the paint, adding a spoiler etc, but I would keep it tasteful. Pink.
