I'm not talking about the Monaco course, and FYI,its easy to drive when the race isn't in town.

The Monaco GP I am talking about is a sports car race.

So technnically...I'm still doing well. You need to read what I put in ().

"(Not the F1 Race)"

i meant ... if you click on the links to the left of the page you will find a lamborghini somewhere...if you click on the link i put up with the lambo ,its not a lambo because the page has errors and you can find it by proccess of elimination

It's an old myth that Mac computer are only good for video / photoshop thingy. I tend to disagree. It's funny to see all the anti-microsoft on these board but they all running Windows XP on their machine. Way to go champ....
.

Actually, the myth is about Mac having any kind of advantage on video and graphics processing.👎 so not true.

Twin, is this what you're talking about?

The man who made the car is an ex-Lamborghini worker, but the car is a Cizeta Moroder V16T.

LOL, ok. do this. Render a movie on a G5 and then on a comarable PC and see who wins in speed.

Is it just me, or was that GT3 in the vid?

It is GT3 but I just did the same thing in GT4 and guess what, GT4 still has the same crash physics and, all be it a little better, still weak sound. So in turn his video is still a viable comparison.

For anyone to compare a new game to a game that's 4 years old is undeniably foolish. We're talking apples and oranges here. Now, if it would've been a fair comparison, there wouldn't have been the incredible gulf between the games. Yes GT4's crash physics and sound could be better. But how can you compare Forza to a 4 year old game. If it was fair, it would've went into all the things you can do in GT4 that you CAN'T do in Forza. And please do me a favor and don't say "all the things in GT4 that aren't in Forza don't really matter."

Hate to sound fanboyish, but apart from the HUGE amount of cars, what things can you do in GT you can't do in forza (cept photo mode)?

BTW gaming isn't allways about whats fair ;)
The video is quite truthfull in the fact that it makes GT3 look abit crap compared to forza, which after playing the demo, I found it to be far more realistic, and actually fun.

B-Spec mode is a bit different from Drivitar.

I love the IGN boards. Fanboys saying each game beings new innovative ideas. There's nothing new in Forza or GT4 that's been done before.

My point is Gek is very much about people not being hypocrites, but then thinks it's cool to compare a 4 year old game to one that hasn't even gone gold yet.

Well people have been comparing GT4 to GT3 also. The vid is abit OTT, but it does show the differences in the crashing etc quite well. The "You can drive this" bits were quite funny too tbh, if over the top.

Comparing a game to it's sequel makes sense. Comparing a 4 year old game to one that isn't realeased yet on another console NOT made by the same company is just plain dumb.

I agree with both sides here about the vid, yes it is unfair to compare Forza to a 4 yeasr old game, but at the same time GT4 isn't that different in the areas the vid highlited. The cars you can drive part was funny and robably was intended as a joke since everyone knows you can drive some pretty rare and exotic machinery in the GT games also. What other console game (I say console because I'm sure there are a few PC racers where someone has created thoes cars for) has let you drive the Espace F1, or a Venturi LM600 ect.

The main point for me is both games appeal to me for different reasons. Forza has me more interested because I want to see just how much perfect I can make some of the cars in it from both a style and performance point of view. Can I make xxx into the perfect race car, and then give it a similar paint job to the Pennzoil JGTC Skylines.

GT on the other hand interests me because of the variety in what you can drive and where you can drive. There isn't many games where you can race an F1 car a JGTC Supra and a Viper GTS-R and then pop into a Mini for a quick.... I meant slow blast round Rome. Forza will offer this to a degree minus the F1 car anyway but there is that something special about the GT seres so far, the game just feels so right. Hopwefully Forza will prove that the something special can be found elsewhere too and force PD into making GT5 a whole world better which in turn will mean Forza 2 will want to be even better still and so on.

Every car in the video was a high powered reaw wheel drive car and the driver was hammering the accelerator, high powered rear wheel drive cars tend to slid when that happens. Besides that the physics in Forza have been said to be on par with GT4 by a member of this board who's currenty playing a Beta build of the game.

im skeptical and dont trust people saying they have this or that, we will see when the game is released

He;s not just saying he has a Beta buile, he HAS a Beta build and he proved it even though he wasn't asked to over in the X-Box threads. He's also been uploading pics of the Beta taken from his digicam. Anyway, we'll be able to judge for ourselves when the game is released.

Hello!!!.... I have the Japanes GT4 and it HAS THE EXACT SAME CRASH PHYSICS AS GT3. GT4's engine noise is slightly more crisp than GT3 but Forza's sound is still miles ahead. I will try to get samples uploaded for you.

Hello! You can drive Ruf, Ford GT's and other super cars in GT4, but nope, let's show the 85 hp econo boxes. This was 100% biased presentation pure and simple. Any justification you give for it is jut trying to cover it up.

You missed the point. What the video was poking fun of was GT's huge line up weak powered cars and then showing off what GT4 wont have which is Ferrari's and real Porsches. It wasnt an official marketing tool so quit taking it so serious, still you cant deny some of the valid points it made.
