Yeah I hope he's kidding too. I don't think any of these three games will have anything in common with TXR3 except that you drive a car. :sly:

as an owner of TXR 0 and TXR 3, I wouldn't even call it "driving". you just floor it and vaguely steer it away from walls and cars. I still love it though. I'm odd that way.

It's fine in it's own right. But can't touch any of these three sims with a 10' pole! :ouch:

yeah. one thing I love about it is the tuning. aero tuning I mean. there are so many different parts and combinations thereof...another reason I'm looking forward to forza.

you could make a really sick looking R34 GT-R in that game entirely out of unpainted carbon fiber. costed an arm and a leg tho....

All I can say is :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

All I can say is maybe someone was worried about their game not selling with GT4 as the competition

I'll have to grab a copy of Forza from the bargain bin a few weeks after release

^^^ Entirely untrue. Fact is, Forza is about as complete right now as a car with one wheel and no gas pedal. It's not nearly ready for release, it has nothing to do with marketing.

not to mention the fact that it's irrelevant whether or not GT4 sells more, because they know GT4 will sell about a zillion more units.

"The upcoming Forza Motorsport, developed by Microsoft's in-house Team 4za, looks to fill the GT-shaped hole in the Xbox's lineup and push the console's technical capabilities to its max. We spent some (time) with the preview build of the game, and we're excited about its potential.
....
The build of Forza we played was not a particularly stable one, so we would regularly crash the game when racing on Maple Valley II, one of the fictional tracks. Because of these software crashes, we could not progress far enough into arcade mode to unlock extra tracks or cars."

Ten dollars to a doughnut that it won't be released on May 3, at least not in 2005.

Never leave a road for a trail, and always RENT before you BUY, even if it is from the bargain bin. 👍

What do you expect from a PREVIEW BUILD ? I know the xbox is the bastard child everyone loves to hate but if some of the same comments were made about GT4 during is BETA BUILD, everyone would post " of course those problem will be resolve before launch". Why would it be different for a title like Forza ?

the hatred for this title is beyond me. What else is new around here.

Hello, McFly!
You may not realize this, but this website is called gtplanet.net. It is not hatred for the title that irks my ire, although as a proud Xbox owner I was very disappointed when I wasted $10 on the trashy demo that came with OXM.

Any animosity that you may feel from me is being fueled by the hordes of obvious Microsoft plants that have been invading message boards throughout the internet, pushing their agenda while praising their title as the best thing since sliced bread.

LMAO....I thought by coming here and share my enjoyment for car / racing games would be a contribution to the community. I work for Microsoft now has part of their agenda to spam sony fanboy forums ? LMAO !!!!!

I didn't enjoy the GT4 Japanese demo, have you seen me calling it trash ? I know it was not a finish product. You cannot comment on a PREVIEW BUILD has being the FINAL Product.

Even though I am greatly amused by the fact that Forza is now imitating GT4 in yet another way (i.e. never-ending delays), I am not a Forza hater... far from it...

I don't own an Xbox, but infact Forza is making me very tempted to buy one, just so that I can have the 'best-of-both-worlds' - owning both GT4 and Forza. However, I can understand that this particular forum is short on sympathy for Forza, precisely for reasons eloquently described elsewhere (i.e. this being gtplanet.net and all! ), but I think the majority of GT lovers also appreciate other worthy racing titles as well, and Forza looks like it will deliver on many fronts... eventually.

Symtex, I hate to be a jerk. But they finally came to that conclusion about 10 pages ago. Just accept the fact that this is a GT forum and there will be GT, PD and Sony fanboys no matter what you say.

I agree with you and I didn't expect anything different. I've seen other community being more open about other title of the same genre. GT series has a very loyal fanbase. no one can deny that.

Here we go again... :indiff:

Let me spell it out in detail as to what I mean. This is a GT site right? Right. Most people that come here are fans of GT in some way, right? Right. We know that most fans are not easily, if at all possibly swayed in their belief of what they are a fanatic about, right? Right. Ok, so having said that, what I was saying to Symtex was that there are some people here that no matter how valid or correct of a point that you make, they won't change their minds. Because they have it set in stone that GT4 will own everything.

I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying how it is. Oh, and no, I wasn't included in that statement cause I don't think one is better then the other just "because" . And quite frankly, I'm really bored of defending my position about that. Especially to you.

I have been looking at the info for enthusia, and while It looks great, I think it will end up like toca 2 or like R Racing Revolution. I personally loved Toca 2 for its diversity, and I liked R racing just beecause there was nothing else new and I wanted a new racing game. they both delivered nice visuals but both ultimately were found to have stupid flaws.

Both games gave you no real feeling of ownership, since the cars you won could only be used in certain races, and to advance you had to use the cars they offered you.

The online aspects were crippled, although Toca gave you up to 12 person races, It didn't allow you to choose any car, only one of the 3 or 4 in that tracks class.

R racing didn't have any online.

So if the enthusia can get around these obstacles, It might fare well for those of us with closed enough minds that can actually get bored of GT4 and/or Forza, and want a new racing experience, kind of like a rebound girlfriend.

Could be quite successful if timed correctly :sly:

Believe what you want but I wont *****rdly believe that some people are unable to change their perspective.

Pushed back a week and a half. Soooo much like GT4's going on how long of a delay?

Delaying a game seems to be a sign of a lot of love being given to the game instead of it being rushed out the door.

I have both the x-box and PS2... not had the x-box long but I wanted one for the PGR2 and Halo experience... well worth the £60 I spent so I have the best of both worlds and look forward to playin GT4 and Forza.... when they appear in store.

Why is it so hard to believe that most people on this board aren't opened minded enough to see things from both sides. People have made valid points to you about Forza and what not. But you haven't changed your mind at all, have you?

Oh, I guess you didn't read the entire post where I said "some" people. Sheesh.

about the word that you used that was stared out. You did use it in correct context. I'm sure that the filter just looks for certain words and parts of words to block out.

I used your "some", looks like it was you who is not reading entire posts.

The difference is that I have not made a completely biased assesment of either game that I can recently remember.

Edited out.

Wow, you really are boring. OK, I can see you're pretty much trying to shut me down no matter what. But it's not going to happen. sorry.

stop fighting... with each other about semmantics, Yes the main reason we harp on each other is because tension is high, and our eyes decieve us when we read something like this.
