GT4 vs Forza [Let the battle begin]

The funny thing is, there isn't much reflection coming off of that real lancer, and the fact that the GT lancer is flying through dust I think the issue of it being a "nice waxed car" is out of the question. And arn't alot of cars made out of plastic materials now along with metals? So in essence, the realism is being captured a little more. But if you want to get real picky, there shouldn't be ANY metal or plastic effects because in the end you're looking at paint, not material.

aye...but they are painted. these cars look like unpainted plastic imo.

anyway...still looks good. And like I said I am just being a graphics snob I guess.

I could post tons of problems I see with gt4 as well....jaggies etc. dithered low res reflections.....but for some reason game still looks great moving. Will have to see about Forza.

One thing Forza definitely sucks at is the fact that it's on X-Box with it's crappy controllers, I hate using the damn trigger all the time to accelerate.

That's a matter of opinion - I hate the PS2 controllers - only my opinion though!

OMG ladies, i played the forza demo at my local computer games store AND..........

Kiss the reign of GT goodbye. I mean OMFG, thats all i have to say!!!!!!!!
every element of it just blew me away (didnt check the ai though) but the racing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well knocking other cars off the track really isn't the idea behind racing is it?

When you have a bunch of cars running close to the limit of adhesion they really aren't hard to punt off the track. Watch any racing on the telly, it only takes a bump!

made some of the missions in mission hall a hell of a lot easier lmao :x

I played Forza at EB, and all i can say is its dull, the lighting is horrible the cars phyics are horrible WOWOWOW your floating, you dont feel anything when you drive, GT4 when you brake your car dips crazy then accelerate out of a corner you feel yourself digging into that corner., Forza has a long was to go to compete with GT4, I like the competition. But Forza in no way is close to the realizim of GT4 it looks good tho.

Exactly, that's why with the DS2 using the right thumbstick is much better.

IMO triggers feels more natural as it simulates pedals. The sticks feel god awful on the ps2 pad.

tried that....but for some reason I couldnt get used to it. No matter, my DFP should be coming soon ......wish I could use that for xbox

If xbox 2 / Next / 360 has usb port then we have hope that the DFP would works with FM2 or any next-gen racing games.

The Xbox is HUGE and the original controller that came with mine was almost as large. I've got big hands, but I hated the size, shape, and squeaking noises made by the triggers on the 'anchor' so I did the only logical thing there was to do....I bought an adapter at Gamestop that allows me to play Xbox and GC games with my DS2. TOCA RD2, PGR2, and even the lousy 4za Demo finally became somewhat enjoyable.

Not sure if you are kidding or not....but thats only a weird mip mapping issue. Sure it wont do that in the final version. I am more concerned about the washed out look in some of the shots. Does look damn good though if you ask me.

Can I just say this game is looking better & better everytime I see it

Also i'd like to point out how much the graphics have improved try comparing the following pic to the pic of the Porsche in the Forza Demo and you will be amazed

I don't know about ya'll, but even with 3D wheels, when the wheels are in motion, they still look like ****. You show me a car in real life that's moving that's wheels like Forza's cars when in motion.
