Slowly improving but I get the feeling this is not gonna be a good week for me:

T1: 0'14.518
T2: 0'43.085

Sigh...

Yeah, this week I find it hard to really improve if you don't already know the course. Luckily I had to do 30 laps here in the Mercedes for the DTM series and I did that race I dunno HOW many times...but its paying off here. I got some new splits and I am .5 ahead of my time yesterday, mainly because I can carry 123mph thur the long left turn after T2. Here's my new splits, and if you wanted to know my fav # is 3 so its gray for me! LOL. (that didn't sound too gay did it?...sheesh...)

Top Speed @ 230

T1 - :14.212 (14.1)
T2 - :42.392 (42.2)

As you can see I am still .2xx behind SHig, mainly because um....HE'S FFAASSTT!!!!

Only did about 20ish laps, and didn't improve.......but.....

Was only half a car length behind best ghost, and i wasn't firing on all cylinders coz i was getting interupted.

Will do some laps after getting into the mood by watching the MotoGP qualifying!

I got 127 through that one! :^). Go get yourself a DFP. I'm cheating because I have one TTYTT. I don't see how Holl can go so fast with that damned DS2. To maximize speed (for me) I go flat out and just tap the brake just at or a smidge before entering the shadow at the entrance of that corner, turn in, and hang on.

I've been finding that it's critical to be smooth on and off the gas and brake and modulation is key. Again, get a DFP!

I may be able to get one or two more hour sessions in this weekend. I can see another tenth or two out there I think. We'll see...

I can carry 130-133 round that left kink.

Try not braking at all!

Got new times I don't know how I managed to get because I can't come within .5 seconds of it.

T1: 0:14.828

Well, I think I finally came to grips with this circuit. Shaved well over a second since yesterday, somehow.

T1: 14.244
T2: 42.066

Had a nice finish and shattered another second barrier I didn't think I'd hit this week at all.

BTW, the barrier is easier to cross after you've done it once. :)

Fairly good lap here, but screwed up a couple spots, so didn't get the final I would have expected. But I WILL get it! no repeats of last week's failures this time. :mischievous:

T2: 41.952

As everyone knows, it's really tough to repeat a lap. Usually on this short a track, I wouldn't expect to see .5 sec. swings lap to lap, but it sure is no problem with this combo. But if I can get turns 5,6,7, and 8 correct, that's where I find the speed. The first sector is mostly just luck to get it through under 14.1. At least for me..... :yuck: Anyway, saw a 13.995 once, but got clock lock, and punted the armco coming into 5. Such is life. :lol:

Yep! 👍 Now if I could just get that T1 of yesterday back and put the rest of the lap together, I'd touch the next barrier I'm after. Finally realized that the 5-8 complex was hurting me most as I would always enter too fast and resultantly would have to grab 4th early, killing the exit.

I think you're right, though.. when I ran that lap, it felt like nothing and it was my 3rd lap of today's session. I was stupified at how easily I had beaten my ghost when last night I couldn't come within .2 of it. Guess sleep helps.

Nice lap you have there. Damn we're close. So close that the best T1 I've seen is .003 slower than you, and the fastest T2 I've seen is only .046 slower than your current lap. Lovin' the tight racing as always!
 
I really like this week. Last week didn't suit me at all and the week before that I finished last in d1.... That will not happen this week!!!

T1: 14.14x (have seen 14.019 once)
T2: 42.15x (will get under 42 soon, I think)
 
Just did another 35 laps in one stint. Looooove the car, hate the bumps in the track :crazy:

New splits:

Oh, and for those who think that color matters, that was in the pink one :dopey:
 
Less than 0.1 improvement at T2, more than 0.3 improvement at the Finish line 👍

Yeah, it's one of my little gripes about the game. I can turn the ghost off, but not the damn clock. I have to force myself not to look at it, because as soon as I see a good number, the little possibility calculator in my head starts adding up the blazing lap I'm about to turn. Course that's instant failure!

@Z. Yup the next barrier is looming, but it's a tough one. I can only imagine the "barrier" h0t is trying to break. :lol:
 
I have had absolutely no time to run this week, and it is really showing. After no more than 20-25 laps, my times are:

T1: 14.447 (I have run 14.1)
T2: 43.108 (lost .5-.7)

My final sector is probably even worse, but it's clean. I just haven't had enough time to find all the braking and turning spots. I think I only carry about 116mph through the left kink.
 
Hey, this has probably already been mentioned but what's happened to the wrs series leaderboard? (the one with the overall points on it). It hasnt been updated since week 17.

If it wasn't in the middle of the screen, I'd suggest putting a strand of duct tape over it. Out of sight, out of mind. :sly:
 
Sounds like I'm gonna have to try that kink without any brakes....interesting, but possible as I have been schooled on how to do it....thx Scott! LOL.

EDIT: Well I tried some laps with little/no braking and I trimmed another .3 or so. So I'm liking it, I know I can get another .2 and that should put me right up there with SHig, I'm HOPING....

0.020 improvement at T2, 0.110 improvement at the finish line.

T1: 0'14.646 :(
T2: 0'42.777 (could have been a 42.4xx...)

New splits after a long run:

Top speed @ 240

T1: 14.173
T2: 42.250

But had a very average final sector, so there's at least .5 to be taken off at the line before I'll be happy.

And this was in the dark pink one (number 5!!)
 
WHOA! Just checked the leaderboard, and you've got me in Div 2! While I 'preciate the promotion and all, ya know CFM/KENT didn't give it to me ;)

0.250 improvement at T2, 0.2 improvement at the Finish line.

Splits:

T1: 0'14.465 (14.1)
T2: 0'42.509 (42.1)

In parentheses the splits I have seen in more than one occasion but laps were dirty by a hair - I hate this car, why does it need to be so 🤬 wide?!

If I can cut another 0.4 from my current best clean lap, then I will be satisfied.

this week i didn´t had a lot of time to play, tuesday i had 30 laps, and now today 40 maybe. i´m hoping to get some playing time tomorrow... with another 0´5 of my total lap i´ll be happy

I've just submitted my qualfying time, and now in Division 2 :)
You guys have a few days head start on me in this week! heheh :P Im guessing im gonna be somewhere near the bottom the week!
Just a question, how much time should I spend on these races?
Im a uni student generally dont have too much time on me hands! heheh :P
