GT4 WRS Week 3: "4WDriving School"

I'm having a hard time "feeling" this car in it's current state. When are we gonna do some GT mode races, CFM? This thing is in dire need of some stiffening up.

I was just think'n out loud really. But CFM cleared it up.

I'm finally starting to bend this car to my will by drifting the balls off of it in the sweepers and staying as tight as possible in the 2 hairpins. I just have a bad habit of correcting for RWD instead of 4WD(aka too soon) or getting on the gas too early. Took another .500 off my lap so now at least I don't feel so bad about my time. Better execution may get me the sub 1:01 T2 that I desire.

This lap improved my time 0.5 seconds because I had a poor last section in my previous best. The lap is absolutely horrible, watching the replay almost made me cry. The car just skids and slides around the corners, and I went too wide in one corner, resulting I had two wheels off and two wheels on the last tiny bit of pavement. Not sure if it's dirty or not, but I'll improve it for sure, I saw 1'01.2s coming

Thought id get some times up on the leader board and see how well im doing.

I know theres alot more time to be gleaned out, just need to work on it, takes alot of adjusting to drive this car. spent far too much time driving overpowered rear wheel drive cars that like to oversteer.

btw, re: the white line debate... I'd consider it off track, but if it is being considered by everyone else as fair game, then great... my quickest lap is over the white line, seem to lose a tenth or two trying to stay inside it...

Improved my overall time by .4 of a second. I also saw a 1'01.10x but couldn't hold it till the end.

i hate this dammed piggy car, soo much understeer, got rid of some of it by using a certain tyre combo but jesus il have an impreza over this any day.

Yea but it also all about being able to work with anything given. Not always the best car out there. (Never is a perfect world)

correct, and no. you want all the grip you can get when breaking for those hairpins, so soft is the way to go mate.

yeah, i think T1 may be faster with medium rear, but the 2 corners after T1 and the long long corner is bad with medium rears, the back end comes round so easily under brakes, Heavily outweighing any advantage (if any) in T1 or T3.

Heh, I can't run as well without medium rears - go figure.

Spent too long on this, really, but I finally found how to take a key corner and it's showing in my overall net time (she says ... I'll probably get murdered now!).

I know there are alot of Div 3 guys running blistering laps comparable to Div 2, but for little old me, I've made some good gains

T1: 26.8 (fairly consistently, which I'm happy about)
T2: 1'02.792 (with another .5 to be gained quite easily, I believe. Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow, but I'm pewped for the day).

Shaved a good bit of time off my overal track total. Yay.
