@Nat .. if you click on the item to be changed, don't forget that it will reset the vaules to stock if you switch it once then right back.
I have used Bumper view ever since GT3. I have tried using Roof view in GT4, but seem to just lose more control when I turn at times, and went back to Bumper view.
But yet, I can't race NASCAR unless I am "IN" the car.... Guess it all depends on the game for me.

Yeah, but this was simply if the PRESENCE of an original suspension or stock. I am using STOCK, even though I own Original ... the game (when I returned to it today), assumed I wanted the Original in there or something, even though that's not what I was running last time I was in this car.
It did the same with my transmission ... I was running a stock version and when I came ot it today the fully adjustable was in there. Odd.
Anyway, currently tweaking with my gear ratios:
T1: 31.170
T2: 59.385
I have once run through the corner after T1 almost perfectly ... damn I was MOVING through there, but I'm struggling to refind that braking point and line so I actually lost a little time, maybe as much as three tenths.
Still tweaking ...

Just when I think there's no more time to pick up.......ridin' the razor edge here, but I'll be damned if I'll quit before I get a 57.xxx T2.
I just ran the coolest 5 laps. My lines and speed were so close that I was either on top of the ghost or within a half car length all 5 laps. Finally it freaked me out so much I went OT.
I wish there was a way to make the ghost more transparent. I like it on, but have a hard time seeing the apex when we are right together or it's slightly ahead.

One thing I know I'm doing right for sure is taking the chicane at full speed...perhaps that's where you are losing a bit of time?

Perhaps you should try the car I and most of the people near or at the top are using?
I have my driving aides at 0,4,1 and followed almost to the tee (T?) Z's first settings post....brakes are at 8 and 15 respectively

Everything was left alone as in you had just bought everything but didn't change anything except for the ride height and the brakes?(or did you just leave everything the same as you had it adjusted on the other car you were driving before?) And then you went out and ran that lap!? Hmmmm, I guess I need to switch cars then...hOt6o4bOi
Lol, yeah, this happened to me after the first night... I came back to it the next day and couldn't remember which of the three skylines that I bought I had done my fastest run in...Kolyana
I'll second that!!! It get's QUITE annoying when you're right on top of it. Switching it on and off has probably lost me a few laps...MinorShunt

Any of you '02 Nur spec users willing to post your settings? Or are you all basically going off of what Z was running earlier? I tried those settings out and I didn't like them on my 91 N1, I don't remember if I tried them on the 99 N1 or not... Oh well, switching into the '02 Nur...

I'm not really sure how i can help.
From what i can see the V-spec II Nür and the M-spec Nür are the best cars, can be tuned to 500 and 499hp respectively. leave the brake balance at 3/3, no aids full downforce.

I finally got my T2 under that 59.0 barrier, and I'm still using the NUR II ... tried the coupe for a few laps but it's oversteer was again too much to handle on a tight track like this. The place where the most time gets made is in the left-right-left kink before T1 methinks ... sometimes I can go full throttle thru there and other times not, one's line but be so perfect !

Small_Fryz, what are you using to get to 500hp in the Vspec 2 Nur? Is that with stage one turbo and almost everything on it? I bought stage 2 first and have 495hp without doing anything other than exhaust and intercooler... So I'm assuming that's a stage one turbo with almost everything done to it if not everything...?
And as hotboi said... I just ran a PB T1 of 30.617 on my FIRST lap out with it,(messed up later on in the lap though) all I did was everything, no aids, lowered the suspension to 96mm instead of 115, upped front camber to 3.0, rear to 1.2, and that was that for suspension. As small_fryz said, I left the braking at 3/3, and this car brakes much faster than any of the other cars I've driven so far... And I left the VCD and LSD off still, I might try them out later, but the car's pretty damn well balanced as is... Didn't even really tune the suspension at all either... hmmm, SWEET!
